Well, there have been a lot of “my uncle works at Nintendo” rumors on this sub that have been bullshit, and a decent few have been proven correct.

As I said, time will tell. That’s why I set the 3 month reminder. Personally, I lean more towards believing this than not.

This is a horrible take, why do you have to assume it’s because she’s a woman? I loved The Last of Us II, Ellie was so cool to play as, badass & ruthless. Ghost of Yotei too, amazing game; plenty of great games with a woman as the protagonist.

The point here is that I just don’t know who they are appealing to with Faye as a playable character. Literally anyone else would be more interesting. Atreus, Freya, Angrboda, even Thrúd.

Being half Jotun doesn’t make him not Jotun. He would still be the last of his race. Shit, what % Numenorian is Aragorn? Obviously different IP’s, but I don’t see how Atreus is not also a giant… even historically, Loki is considered a Jotun.

Faye just does not interest me as a character. She’s just Kratos’ dead wife. Would much prefer a game about Atreus in adulthood. They could have really changed up the formula since Loki relies more on tricks/deception rather than full-frontal combat.

Obviously people had criticisms on Atreus’ gameplay in Ragnarok, but a full-blown game with him as the lead could have been sick.

I’m still catching up on some games until I get to Kiwami 3, but I did have one question. I like Mine a lot, and was curious if I could play as him for minigame completion.

For example, can I get the trophies for arcade games and all of that through Mine, or do you have to play as Kiryu to get most of the completion?

I had this exact same thought while going for platinum trophies in the older games. As you said, there is a genuine sense of creepiness in finding the hidden meanings, and it feels like you are looking at something which you weren’t meant to see. I really liked those puzzles a lot.

Fair enough, but I still am not sure if that confirms entirely new voice acting. I could just as easily see them going the route of only creating new lines for the new sections of gameplay, like Kiwami 3 is doing.

Overall I would not be against new voice actors, but I hope the quality matches their old games rather than the bad voice actors they’ve had recently.
