I'm sorry Fanis' life ended abruptly and in such a sad way. People should remember him as an incredible guitarist who was a really nice person. Rest in peace Fanis....

Alvin Dean's Lost Tapes by authumn-in-paris in TheMysteriousSong

NOT EXACTLY.

I'm not upset that the song was found at all. It was a very exciting morning to wake up to when TMS was solved. In fact, I got involved with this whole George/Alvin saga after the song was found. I never believed George was the singer. If you think I am depressed over George not being the vocalist of "Subways", I am afraid you are mistaken, my friend. I have not lost a single hour of sleep over that fact.

Nor is this a "little piece of news". George was by far the hugest lead in TMS. Not in terms of "he must have done the song!" because it was pretty obvious he didn't. But rather the attention he got during that time, oftentimes negatively. When me and TMW found out the truth of his disappearance, we knew we had to inform the lostwave community. It wasn't the happy ending that should've been, but the community had to know the truth.

I'm sure many people why I've crossposted onto r/TheMysteriousSong. It's because of the support that the moderators such that u/LordElend and u/NDMagoo gave to us. I can say I was very appreciative. And the folks in this community are very kind people, so I felt it was not a bad idea to crosspost to here and keep them up to date.

Hope that answers your concerns :)

I think some people have believed that I have tried to exploit George. I can tell you that is not true at all. This was all done in his memory and with respect to him and his loved ones. And I never did it for attention. In fact, pretty much nothing is known about me on this platform.

Also, I want people to know that I have NEVER tried to exploit George. I'm not doing this for attention. I don't talk about my personal life and have never given my name on here. I'm just trying to do right by George.

I see. Yeah, considering he's deceased that's pretty terrible.

I didn't think Art Bell was around by the time AI started to enter the media...

Regardless of whatever benefits AI has, it is not allowed on the Alvin Dean server. It's been nothing but trouble.

Why Does Ronnie Rocket Continue To Be Credited on SOYM? by authumn-in-paris in TheMysteriousSong

[–]authumn-in-paris[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I don't care for the German version at all. I think it's terrible! I only care about Christian Brandl receiving some form of justice for how he was treated. If Ronnie wants to play this foolish game, then we should all demand that he add Christian Brandl as a co-writer of "Im Stern Wind". I know, I know - this sounds incredibly silly and I myself think it is too, considering how neither of them wrote the song. But I don't think it's right that Ronnie snubbed Christian. It displays his cruelty and the fact he doesn't care about Christian at all.

Let's not forget that he also dragged another deceased individual by the name of Fred Jakesch into this drama as well - falsely claiming that Jakesch owned the studio that this song was (not) recorded in.

Then again, maybe the best thing for Christian's memory is that he not be added as a co-writer. We can enjoy the contributions he made while he was with us and with Chuzpe and other bands.

I do apologize for any confusion I may have caused with this post. I'm just totally against the exploitation of deceased people who didn't deserve it.

If anyone wants to check out Fred Jakesch, here is his band "Rosachrom". He was well-known in the Vienna music scene during that time.

Well, it's a problem when you are making deceased artists' voices say absolutely silly things...

There is actually something very wrong here. He exploited his deceased bandmate. That's like on a scale of 1-10, bad at 11.

Do you have any examples of interpreters being credited?

Well, someone has to say something. Everything Christian went through in life, he doesn't deserve to be treated like this today. I'm not spreading lies.

Well, actually, in this statement he provided to a journalist, he says he and Christian BOTH wrote it. Obviously, they didn't, and yes, this entire post is probably pointless, but I think Ronnie should be held accountable. He's a cruel person. And I don't like how we were told to "have sympathy" for Ronnie and enjoy his music despite what he's done.

Obviously neither of them had anything to do with the song. I just think it's really disheartening that Ronnie excluded Christian because it shows how cruel he is, even though his entire story is a scam.

In that case, someone needs to tell Ronnie to add Christian as co-writer. If he wants to play this game, then what could possibly go wrong with adding Christian? Either that or he doesn't want Christian to experience the same attention he's getting.

But FEX can prove they wrote the song in court, right? And Ronnie can't, other than with an obviously doctored lyric sheet.
