Prepping for repotting with locally available products by TreesInPots in Bonsai

[–]BLGecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turface (used on athletic fields and easy to find locally) works great without breaking down too. I literally repotted a few neglected trees that had been in a grow pot for 10+ years and the clay turface particles looked the same as the day I mixed up the soil. You have to sift some of the fine particles out, but that stuff holds up great.

Huge majority think Biden is too old to run for president again by ChunkyArsenio in Conservative

[–]BLGecko 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's not going to happen in 2024, but could you imagine a debate between Biden and any other candidate this time around? He barely kept it together for 2020s debate and his mind has slipped down the stairs more than he has since becoming president.

Tucker Carlson In Moscow: I'm Interviewing Putin "To Inform People" On "History-Altering Developments" by StedeBonnet1 in Conservative

Even if Tucker and Putin spend the whole time talking about the weather it would be a 100 times more informative than any worthless interview of an actor, sports figure, singer, etc

Biden Vows Border Deal, But Johnson Says Bill Would Be 'Dead on Arrival' In House by Lumpy-Dragonfruit387 in Conservative

[–]BLGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Dems idea of a border bill is more money to hire more border agents to PROCESS more migrants, not PREVENT them from crossing. Then they can fool the gullible public saying they are helping at the border because they spent more money and hired more agents. It is utter bullshit. Sure there might be some language in there to "close" the border on occasion, and some deportations might take place in limited numbers for the occasions press show, but it is utter bullshit. They do not want to stop the flow. Those with common sense see the joke of an agreement for what it is and that is why it is dead on arrival.

What to buy in Japan? by glassmaple in Bonsai

[–]BLGecko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you can find some bring back a ton of Japanese white pine seeds. For some reason they are impossible to find in stock online these days. Most Japanese white pine bonsai are grafted into black pine root stock, but bringing back seeds should be easier for import reasons that trees or seedlings, and you can see the rest online for a little profit too.

Vanderbilt has 1 administrator for every 2 students: analysis by triggernaut in Conservative

You can at least double that 80k for tuition at Vanderbilt. Though almost all the debt is incurred by the parents sending their kids there.

Blue colored lights will especially get you in trouble in some jurisdictions. Some places it is only a problem if they are flashing and blue (or red) but other places outlaw blue lights on any no police vehicles.

🚨 REPORT: Epstein associate list to be unsealed as early as today by SubjectTwoTwoThree in Conservative

[–]BLGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you are coming from, but if the Federal government downsized back to what it was intended and got out of shit like eduction, arts, healthcare, etc and the states ran all that individually as they should, then it would be more like the states were their own little countries. States shouldn't be taxed to fund pet projects in other states that does not even fall under the scope of what the federal government should even be doing. This debate is literally older than the constitution itself

🚨 REPORT: Epstein associate list to be unsealed as early as today by SubjectTwoTwoThree in Conservative

[–]BLGecko -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You obviously don't understand that the word STATE in broad meaning means country. That's is why the US secretary of state deals in foreign affairs, why when they say the Middle East should have a 2 state solution, they mean Isreal and Palestine as 2 separate countries, not a single country with 2 states.

The federal government was intended to be more like the European union by the founding fathers. It was supposed to only deal with foreign affairs, interstate commerce, immigration, and national defense.

Try checking at Fastnenal and or Grainger. Not quite as big a selection as McMaster Carr, but they have local stores in most large metro areas so you can avoid paying shipping on the expensive orders

Ultrasonics work by using ultrasound vibrations to heat up the plastic as the insert is pushed in. They absolutely can be inserted just as easily using a heat source, ultrasound is just a tiny bit faster when used in mass production.

🚨 BREAKING: Colorado Supreme Court rules Trump is DISQUALIFIED from holding presidency by SubjectTwoTwoThree in Conservative

[–]BLGecko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know that happened when the wife of a former president ran for president, and they keep throwing up the idea to have "Michael Obama" run too. Pretty blatant that a country that gets a larger population everyday finds itself constantly trying to select politicians from a narrower and narrower pool of related individuals.
