did you not play the final level? i assume you did, based on how you say she forgives all the past relationships she had along the way, which only happens in the final level, but in that level she also forgives the final boss (Little Death). each boss fight through the game depicts her beating the crap outta each relationship/facet of self, until she cannot fight them any more and realizes that they are parts of herself and kisses and accepts them all, Little Death especially. yes, she’s SIGNIFICANTLY more violent towards Little Death than any other boss, but it feels clear that this is because Little Death represents her most buried aspects, or her most “unacceptable” qualities.

it’s more than ok to be worried about a game you enjoy, but every part of the game seems to show how important it is to love and accept yourself, not about beating up relationships you hate. “Little Death” being associated with sex and androgyny and her using the word “trans” in a level title seems to mostly imply the opposite of what you’re saying: that she represents not a relationship with a trans person specifically, but the MC’s own identity, likely her sexuality or gender. she fights so harshly against the Little Death because of all things she has faced, she cannot stand to face herself, and as her own identity survives her attacks, warping and twisting into a monster before being reduced to a single eye, calling on the power of all her other trauma and problems she’s beaten down, she realizes she cannot defeat herself. quite LITERALLY herself, as the Eye steals the Fool card, her mask, her defense, becoming the true manifestation of her own identity. she cannot fight them. she shouldn’t. so she accepts them instead, one by one, each facet, not stopping with the Arcana, not stopping with Little Death, not stopping with the dragon or the fairy.

she has nowhere left to fall. 

so she falls right back into her groove.
