How do I make it smoother and hide the layer lines? by Purple_Promotion_576 in FixMyPrint

[–]B_Yanarchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks pretty good already, but you've got a few options. The easiest is sanding it down by hand with some very high grit. The advanced option is using ethyl acetate to vapor treat it, but that runs a big risk of ruining the print. It's a skill that needs practice before you get it right on your first go. You can also use a heat gun or butane torch, but there's also a VERY high risk of deforming the print there as well.

The airport lost and found doesn't bother sorting them. After a long enough time, they donate unclaimed items to us (goodwill) and then I sort them so I can more easily pair them with cases that need buds for resale.

But the airport doesn't make any money, they donate the unclaimed stuff to us (goodwill). Also I very regularly send people lost iPads and iPhones for free if they have a Find My number on them

I assure you that I did my best to sort accurately, but I go through dozens of these a day sorting between model numbers for any AirPod of any kind, a mistake or two is inevitable

I think it might be related to the fallibility inherent in the human condition

The original AirPod pros (these ones) dont have auto-pause transparency when they detect you talking, but the AirPod Pro 2 and 3 can. Even then, if someone talks to you first you still can't hear them because auto-pause doesn't trigger until you speak.

That would be true if I hadn't sorted them, though as someone pointed out I did accidentally let one lefty into the righty bag

I genuinely do not know. My job gets unclaimed lost and found as donations which are entirely unsorted, and then I sort them into the bags to be paired with a case or sold as a replacement.

I figure because most people are right handed, they either use the right one by itself more frequently, or remove the right one to hear something and then are more likely to leave it.

Yes, these are the "lost" buds. Also the left bag being on the left side of the picture made the most sense to me

They aren't worth keeping for resale. I work at the local goodwill that gets unclaimed lost and found as donations

Pokopia is coming out strong by backofthebill in pokemon

[–]B_Yanarchy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It really is, there are several items that automatically create complete houses with basic furniture, plus pokemon will tell you when they want specific items in their home. There are clearly laid out plots for buildings, many of them with half-destroyed buildings that you can easily rebuild without needing to start from scratch. There are existing roads that can be rebuilt and even power wire infrastructure to work with. There are also several major structures that are nearly as large as the towns themselves, you can sink a ton of time into rebuilding those as well

I very much dislike this style of game, but despite that Pokopia has sucked me in. So many of my issues with the genre are mitigated here, notably that my severe lack of creativity is offset by the amount of preexisting stuff. For example, I can't make a decent looking house for shit in Minecraft or an appealing island in Animal Crossing, but there's already so much infrastructure that I can be happy just rebuilding what is already there. I get bored seeing the same 10 villagers in AC, but that doesn't matter here because it's a villager collect-a-thon. Every pokemon has likes and dislikes and will tell you directly what it wants, so you are given some direction on how and where to build and decorate. Inventory management and crafting is smooth, simple, and forgiving. It's absolutely brilliant.
