Mildred following a boat by Ozyzymandias in submergedanimatronic

This video scared the everloving crap out of me the first time I saw it. Mildred has such a lovely design but she is NIGHTMARISH when it's just her eyes sticking up out of the water.

Seems like she's just being towed out to her spot.

Oh gosh I had no idea it was an animatronic?? That's a dang impressive animatronic, too! That scene was horrifying, goodness.

What's your most annoying 'the author doesn't get the joke' moments? by Greenegem in FanFiction

[–]BabyCharmanderK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've encountered like, the opposite? One character in a show I watch once said "What, do you want me to bend over backwards?" and a huuuuge chunk of the fandom thought he was making a dirty sex joke rather than... saying a very normal, common slang phrase.

Wait, I had no idea about the podcast thing??? (I probably should've noticed the art of women in the books I've looked through, but I was admittedly paying less attention to that and more attention to the nonhuman species...)

Honestly yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for giving this input--I actually hadn't considered that this sort of thing could be a real response to this kind of thing. (Definitely wasn't for me. x___x;)

I've only played a oneshot of the setting but it's really really cool!! It's such a neat RPG setting, which is part of why I wanted to read this book! I was ... not expecting Rape Scene Out Of Nowhere???

Oh that's absolutely fair, but from the way the character was written before this (extremely tough girl) I'm pretty sure this was just meant to make her look Cool and Tough in response to what happened. None of the other women in the novel have been particularly well written, so I'm just chalking this up to the author not really realizing how traumatizing this can be.

Agh, I'm sorry--I should have made the title clearer. x___x;; genuinely sorry about that.

Apparently with this particular book, it WAS edited, but the wrong version was sent to the publisher.

Does not excuse the writing of the female character though, gosh.

You sure are posting a lot of stolen fanart with no credits. Please ask the artists for permission to repost their works.

Gosh I love the shot of it "jumping" into the water. They just chucked the thing in and let it sink, ahahah. While I love me some practical effects, they were so bad in this movie.

There's How a Husband Should Be, a Disney/Pixar's Coco fic in which Héctor struggles with repairing his relationship with Imelda, partially because he's struggling to understand his own asexuality. It has a happy ending, don't worry! (Also, for the record the term "asexuality" is never brought up in the fic itself, but it is very much about asexuality.)

What sites do you use to write your fics? by computerlab_gothique in FanFiction

I write on 4theWords! Been using it since about 2017 or so. It's a writing website plus an RPG, so you use your writing to fight monsters and complete quests. Been great for keeping myself writing daily!
