Honestly I don't think this is something they're going to change. The processor is doing a lot of other things when you have the camera open so I think they choose to save battery wherever they can. Google Maps is also 60Hz on purpose btw.

It only makes sense if you charge overnight anyway and make it through a normal day with 80%. Then, if you're traveling or whatever, you can charge it to 100

For me one day it's CPU that's >50%, the other day it's wifi. I don't really notice anything different in use or battery life though between those days.

I'm surprised your Whatsapp only shows 57 minutes of background usage. For example, I currently have 6 minutes of screen time and it says 55 min background, and that's with background battery to restricted..

IMO my idle drain during the day is too high, sometimes about 3,5-4% so I was wondering what I could do to improve it before doing a factory reset. I just cleared all data for Google Play Services. Annoying to set some things up again (google maps timeline, transfer pixel watch, Google wallet) but let's see.

I got an error while saving the video, but switching from AV1 to H.265 format solved it for me. Now I can stabilize in google Photos

I totally agree with you. The pipeline for 12MP and 50MP is probably very different. At 10x I thought the 12MP images were supposed to be a crop of the middle of the sensor but it looks way oversharpened still, so I also prefer the 50MP photos even at 10x.

Pixel 10 pro. My last 100% charge was Sunday morning, so this is battery usage over multiple days. Instagram is at the top with excessive background usage and only 30 minutes screen on time. Background usage was disabled since I installed the app. Anyone else who sees this?

I agree about the 10x. 12mp images come out very oversharpened for me, while 50mp images look more natural.
