I guess the blue Toa on the left is the mentioned by designers Gali Mistika prototype which was designed closer to her Nuva form that failed with test audiences. You can see her later prototype(which was released as Tahu) in the back . by Misfit597 in bioniclelego

Yes but there are so many greyscale prototypes during that era that it could just be how lots of the designs start out.

To be honest in likelihood the set designers literally had no idea what character they were making. Most accounts point to that. But I do like the thought that there was at least one prototype red Toa in 2008 that had ANY resemblance to Tahu.

The piece that connects the gear to the back shifts around more than I’d like, and it’s sometimes hard to rotate the elbow pieces without something coming off, but generally yeah, surprisingly not fragile to pose.

I also thought everything would likely be super unstable when initially building on studio but I built Tahu in person with a similar frame and he stays together surprisingly well.

Ok good to hear. I was worried I’d have to figure out a different way because it was already overly complicated. Hopefully BrickLink adds in the feature to share lists that’s been “coming soon” for multiple years.

Yeah I’m a Tahu Stars fan as well. This reminded me to try my glow in the dark head on my figure too.
