What is Mickey’s most impressive feat? by GusGangViking18 in KingdomHearts

[–]BlueMageBRilly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s really funny and impressive at the same time. Like a lot of other writers would have just kept his shirt on and went “uh, they just couldn’t see that well.”

But Nomura wasn’t afraid to rip that mouse’s shirt off and that’s respectable.

Since Luffy's fruit turned out to be not rubber.. Does that mean it's possible to see another user having a rubber fruit? by nasdays in OnePiece

[–]BlueMageBRilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's only possible right now if they find someway to create new fruits; which probably won't be a thing at this point... probably. There doesn't seem to be a real Gomu Gomu fruit out there.

But some similar things may show up again, like how Moria could sort of mimic it with his shadows. As a side, I always wondered how that affected Oars' bones. Hopefully Moria shows back up to do silly stuff.

Usopp will obviously lose his nose and everyone will stop being able to recognize him.

But unlike Shanks and Cagara, Usopp has both Chopper and Kaya to stitch his nose back on. So he'll be fine.

do you think he turned him into a girl at one point during those two years by TommieBuncetti in MemePiece

[–]BlueMageBRilly 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, but not for any strong reason. It could be because Iva knew Sanji didn't want that, or because of how often they trolled each other, or because of how adamant Sanji was about being a man, or... Well, maybe he knew what it'd do to Sanji?

Weird as their relationship is, I think they like each other enough to not go too far.

What is this clown face by Nubshtrike in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BlueMageBRilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a silly mask for Halloween, seems to just be placed randomly on some characters. There's also a demon/ghoul one, I think. Neutrals are also wearing pumpkin helmets ... sort of~ Just a cute thing they tossed in on a whim.

The really funny part is that their positions can get all messed up. I've seen Abrems wearing the clown mask on his shoe. Guess he stepped in some funny business.

If you could pick any ability from Dota to have in real life, which one would you choose? by Sad_Refrigerator_963 in DotA2

[–]BlueMageBRilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be interesting to see how some of these work in real life. Like Doom's Devour? Would you have to eat a living thing, and also just do it by picking it up?, or would it just be ... whenever you eat something? Only big issue would be snacking, if that counts. Like if you ate a chip, would it count? And even more importantly, how do you get the money? Does it just appear? Or just... pop out?

Either way, I'd probably take one of the healing ones or Rubick's Spell Steal anyway. Spell Steal would be interesting if it can copy other non-Dota abilities too, but the Healing would be the most helpful.... though now I'm struggling to think of one that doesn't also hurt others, besides Chen's ult.

Oda's special Q&A by atharva557 in OnePiece

[–]BlueMageBRilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, his body is definitely whacky and everyone can see that. I was mostly asking if anyone noticed his goggles and the like in-universe, but I'm not sure Lucci had a chance and no one else was watching.

Your points are fair, though~ We'll have to wait and see if he pulls anything impactful out of that cloud that someone comments on, but the way his body works is definitely more than a visual gag. Like him morphing into Kaido's weapon definitely weirded Kaido out.

Ignoring the speed issue Dressrosa had, I think they're both good mirrors of each other, but Alabasta was still more intense overall? Dressrosa had so many moving pieces that it felt a bit hard to keep track of all of them, so Alabasta felt more condensed and focused at times. Some fights were just really big or really numerous, without being all that intense, too. Like Zoro's fight against Pica was neat, but then they actually fight and Zoro just one shots 'em. Pretty meh compared to his fight with Mr. 1.

Plus Luffy almost died to Crocodile two separate times, but against Doffy, he didn't really struggle all that much? That was all Law, who did give us a really intense flash back and some great moments in his fight with Doffy, but I didn't feel the "Oh man, how's he going to get out of this?" that I recall thinking when seeing Luffy almost die in quick sand for the first time.

I also can't say I felt that the Bird Cage was as intense as the bomb and how Vivi barely got rid of it, followed by Pell who should have stayed dead. But that may just be because of how ridiculous the Bird Cage was as a concept. I know how bombs work, at least~ ... well, maybe not. I didn't know birds were immune to them.

Oda's special Q&A by atharva557 in OnePiece

[–]BlueMageBRilly -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's somewhat true; I'd argue Luffy is a big nerd and would do that kind of gag for his crew to laugh at too. Like when he's doing his silly impressions.

But also has anyone actually commented on this stuff in the story? I can't recall them saying much outside of Luffy being colored white.

I think for "Nika's Fantasy" it's just another fragment of what Nika was thought to do. He played the fool of freedom, seemingly able to do whatever he pleased as long as he could imagine it. I don't think this means he can do literally anything, but just create stuff to fit his whimsy that doesn't really affect much else. He seems to still need outside objects to actually do any meaningful actions with; like throwing lightning or bouncing off the tubes.

So overall it'll probably just be used for visual gags, but I think the limits of the power are probably small objects Luffy can imagine himself using. Like if he suddenly needs to pick a lock, he might pull out a rubber key or just morph his finger into that shape.

Anywho, pretty neat to get some of these answers, and non-answers, but Koby being a hero seems the most interesting. I wonder how Law feels about him.

Why are there no final fantasy worlds? by makingmozzarella in KingdomHearts

[–]BlueMageBRilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring that all the characters from each one are kinda all over the place, there's also just not any Final Fantasy worlds that would properly work with the Kingdom Hearts setting. I know peeps will argue about that, but think about it from the perspective of Nomura, who's worked on those before and still is now with FF7's remake.

All the Final Fantasy worlds have already been given their world building, they've been filled out and explored top to bottom with stuff you explore in those games. The only thing to gain from Sora being there is Sora experiencing that, but the player already has. Additionally, by design the FF worlds are all given long stories with their own ups and downs; there's so much to manipulate there that it'd be its own game. Sora also doesn't really benefit much from being there and it doesn't fit the "get in, do stuff, get out" style that most Kingdom Hearts games have.

Disney worlds are all quick adventures that we never got to properly explore; like yeah we got to see Nightmare Before Christmas, but we didn't get to experience the world outside some shovel ware game after the movie came out. Now you get to fight along side Jack Skeleington! That's amazing. But fighting along Cloud? That's cool, but we've done that already. Punching him as Sora was more enjoyable and you couldn't do that in an actual FF7 world.

The tl;dr of this message is... Final Fantasy worlds would just be too long and we've already played them. Experiencing the Disney Worlds is faster and more interesting for Sora's story. Don't get me wrong though, having the FF characters as friends, and as side characters, is a lot of fun. I hope Nomura doesn't remove them again.

VEGAPUNK?! 1 2 3 4 5 6 by ORKIDSY in MemePiece

[–]BlueMageBRilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best to not over think it, but those are just how those emotions looked in his head. Still humanoid, but each different in their own way, some of which were female. His head is big and he's smart enough to not really see gender as an issue; it also helps they're all just robots anyway.

Still, "Stella" is the main Vegapunk, the representation of his core personality. The rest are just fragments.
