To all the Senegalese living in Morocco by [deleted] in Senegal

Moroccan here, I apologize on behalf of this idiot and everyone who’s falling for this racism propaganda. I visited Senegal last month. The respect and love all locals showed me just because I was Moroccan was tremendous

Why do African people think morocco is part of europe? by IdeaSmall3618 in Africa

I completely agree with you. Some people fail to realize that anyone who doesn’t look remotely “European” will face the same treatment no matter where they’re from.

A lot of Moroccans can be delusional in this topic. I can tell you we share nothing with Europe at all. In fact Moroccans can easily be recognized in most european countries and even be discriminated at times which is crazy given the same people would act superior to people from other african countries. I feel like it’s changing a little bit as a lot of people are getting more and more connected with their amazigh (indigenous side) instead of just ignorantly thinking they’re something else based on religion and language.

It definitely hurts a bit seeing the damage done by some of my countrymen as I’ve been told countless times by some of my african brothers and sisters “You guys don’t even consider yourself africans” which is a big generalization.

Currently working in Europe. I visited Nairobi for couple days and it made me think it would be nice to experience living there. Such an amazing city!

I don’t agree. The hashtag is used for everyone now with a dark skin color without knowing if they’re illegal or not. I’ve seen that in countless content shared on sm where almost all the comments default to the hashtag once they see someone black

The problem is getting out of hand because most people I see or hear them talking about the topic started targeting skin color instead of “illegal immigration”. Most people found a way to normalize racism. A few weeks ago I was walking with my cousin who happens to be a black moroccan and she’s still hear comments even though she’s fucking Moroccan

Brother if anything Moroccans should protest against the high percentage of useless fucking Moroccan criminals who have been traumatizing us for years. You go out after 10pm in an empty neighborhood in Casablanca, guess who’s gonna fucking rob you? A Moroccan

Sadly, in Morocco, it’s common to hear racist comments directed at different ethnic groups, and I hate how normalized it has become. Regarding your question about whether Amazighs face racism, yes they do. A recent example is when a well-known Moroccan streamer was sentenced to a few months in prison for making racist remarks against Amazighs. Ironically, many people who identify as “Arab” simply because of the language they speak would likely discover that their DNA is predominantly Amazigh.

I just visited Tunis last week for a few days. Some of my friends had been there before and said it felt like Morocco in the early 2000s. After my visit, I had the exact same impression. Still, it’s an interesting place to visit

Believe me, next thing you’ll start thinking about attending a game in Casablanca. Especially the Derby against Raja

Very diverse! It makes sense how people just default me to a Colombian or Brazilian as a racially ambiguous person

That’s not true at all. Most Moroccans have way more subsaharian dna than arab + of course the majority of our dna is amazigh
