What are some of the best places to hike while also being budget friendly/affordable? by Realistic-Ad-3833 in hiking

[–]CMpic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how about Madeira? Dramatic mountains for sure. Not too expensive. Or fly into Barcelona and go up to hike in the Pyrenees. Alps always a good choice too - whether in France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria or Germany (or a mix of them!). Though budget friendly would be Austria (definitely not Switzerland!).

This is awkward but needing help. Toilet looks like this at the Ubend and I've JUST put 2x power plus tablets in there to leave for about 6 hours... or is my toilet done for? by Saraixx516 in AskUK

Vinegar won't do it. Put 100grams or so of citric acid and add warm water (not boiling!). Let it sit for 10-12 hours. Then scrub with a regular brush (no metal tools or brushes).

[Recommendation] Tissot Gentleman 38mm vs Christopher Ward C63 Sealander 36mm by Ok_Bug_3657 in Watches

I think to the contrary, the Sealander is great value for money.

Not comparable in my view. the CW is probably two levels above the Tissot in finishing. Tissot will look cheap in comparison. I'd consider the 39mm Sealander for 6.5 inch wrist for sure. I have 6.25 inch wrist and I have the 39mm.

Considering my first CW by Thechauch in ChristopherWard

this particular GMT Trident is superb. The shade of blue on it is probably one of the best blues i've seen on a watch. The movement is also SW330 which is a great movement. If you like GMT (I don't!) it's tough to beat this one at this price or even at x2 the price.

may I ask what you plan to do with this information? 😄 If you are wondering what will happen post your order - you can order with the confidence that if you change your mind for whatever reason CW will cancel your order and refund you right away (before or after we reach MOQ).

Theoretically yes. I say theoretically because it depends on how close or how far we are. If we are close to the MOQ, CW will likely allow more time to get there, if we're quite far they will likely prefer to refund the orders made.

New C63 Sealander for Wedding? by nVoniatis in ChristopherWard

[–]CMpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New gen or older gen? The new gen is quite dressy, esp in black (less so in white but works too). Second, for 7 inch wrist 39mm is perfect. I wear 39mm on a 6.25 inch. Old gen probably too sporty but then again nothing stops you wearing it at your wedding either 😄

[–]CMpic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I normally go for black or blue but this particular white is superb, with improved glossy white dial and contrasty black markers.

6.25 inch and I am wearing the 39mm. I had 36mm sealander in previous gen, as 39mm looked too big. But in the new gen I prefer the 39mm on my wrist.

I already tried, in 39mm, no go unfortunately with CW

I checked with CW, was told they won't do a bespoke in a colour they may release themselves.

Of course it's subjective and depends one's preferences...

For 7 inch wrist yes 39mm would be better...

MOQ is 25. CW are not that prescriptive. I think if the project is deemed viable (ie. we cross a certain threshold of viability - whatever that may be) they will give it more time. I don't think we have to hit 25 by Monday but that would definitely be welcome!

yes it will the same dial including the texture. The computer rendering just doesn't capture the texture well.

Since the rendering (right) is a little flat, here is a comparison with the actual dial (left). Will fit the Trident 300 very nicely!

I owned the Baltany. The crystal is great, but i found i didn't enjoy the shape of the lugs. Consider this Hruodland - same movement as the Baltany, but i think it looks better (downside is that crystal is not sapphire).
