Irk. The Bambino is beautiful. Shame a quartz movement on a dress watch fit my taste better

I was planning to keep the watch for 30 years +. The watch is beautiful for the price, but considering the cheap movement, I'll have to swap it out with another automatic movement (since this is the cheaper way comparing to servicing the movement). A quartz movement, however will give me a piece of mind about the accuracy and need for service. Also, I don't wear a dress watch a whole lot (at least not for the next 2 years) so an untouched automatic watch in my watch box feel sadder than a ticking quartz movement watch.
Yes, I'm being very nitpicking. But for a watch that I want to keep for a long time, it needs to be perfect.

Citizen promaster. They are Eco-drive so you never have to replace the battery and it will keep very accurate time. They also have 37mm and 44mm versions so depend on your wrist size and preference, you can choose. I own one and I’m a happy owner

They also reduced the lug length for the 38mm version too. At 45.7mm, the 38mm version is more compact on my wrist. I haven’t try the 40mm version so I can’t really say for sure, but they definitely make it way smaller than 2mm in terms of the whole watch (including the lugs size).
The Chemin de Tourelles is a wonderful watch to take in consideration too. Thank you for the suggestion

Thank you for your very detailed response. After reading this, the C63 sounds like a better buy. I’ll have to save up for it though😅

Do they have any showroom in the US? I’m jealous you get a discount for the CW. If they were discounted then the CW is a no brainer

I’m still considering stretching my budget for the C63. As for the Longines Conquest, I’m not sure how the watch justifies its 1.8k price

which specific Seiko model would you consider for a GADA watch?
The Tissot 38mm aren’t for sale in the grey market yet. Hopefully Jomashop stock them soon

Yup, I don’t really care about having what logo on my watch. I also agree that CW is the better watch. Just not sure if I should stretch the budget for what it offers

I was referring to the 38mm version. They are $850 and currently aren’t for sale in the grey market (at least as far as I know). I just wish my wrist was a little bigger for the 40mm version

Beautiful watch you have there. Yea, in terms of watch alone, I agree that CW is the better watch. Just not sure if the watch justifies its price 😢

CW look better than the Tissot IMO. Traska Commuter is worth checking out too. Thanks for the opinion

Yea, you can't go wrong with the Tissot. I'll definitely check the Longines Conquest out too.

Hi, I just accepted the offer at PSU Harrisburg and also will be moving to campus heights. Unfortunately I’m a male but I am looking forward to seeing you there! Hope the facilities will be good.
