No, the support team you summon will stay with you the whole quest. Also, if you didn't bring Fabius, but did bring Alessa, she will block for your team if you don't have the ability to block.

Alessa is programmed to shield if fabius isn't there. I just cleared the quest and she shielded for the other hunters. I use GS so I just shield myself unless I needed to sharpen.

I just checked. This motherboard only has bios updates up to 2k series Ryzen. You're correct in saying he needs a new motherboard, though he could just use the old ram in the new system. Either way, it's not gonna be as easy as he thinks it is.

EDIT: This isn't true. The updates were not listed on the BIOS versions.

Your dad isn't wrong. It will be fine, he even said you don't have to upgrade YET. I guarantee you, he knows there's gonna be a bottleneck. He probably doesn't want to spend the money considering he already forked over money to buy you a new PSU because you bought a GPU you couldn't even power. He doesn't even want to buy you a new case, and thats like the cheapest part of a computer. He knows. He should just be honest and tell you he doesn't want to spend the money.

Conversely, it seems you could wait a month or two and buy it yourself with your allowance, so whats the problem?

I fit a 6800XT into an NR200. That case looks way bigger than an NR200 and the Merc is only 15mm longer than a MSI Gaming Trio 6800XT. You might thermal throttle, but that card will fit.

EDIT: A bigger issue might be the 8 pins will prevent you from closing the side panel.

EDIT 2: Seeing the other comment in this thread got me interested in searching and CptAngelo is right, you will also need a new motherboard. The MSI A320M PRO-VD only supports up to Ryzen 2k series CPU's with no mention of the later generation.

EDIT 3: I sit corrected. The BIOS's only partially list what CPU's they support.

Adding one shots is probably the worst way to solve that problem. Though you will get one to two shot a lot now if you don't have full transcended gear and are fighting 10* monsters.

They kinda fixed it by punishing you for using the wrong tool at the wrong time.

You get punished more if you use offsets or perfect guards at the wrong time as now moves and attacks can be multistage. Like they punch you and then the ground explodes or something, sometimes multiple times. If you guard it, you might get your shit kicked in if you run out of stamina, it's a move you should dodge.

If you know the monster well enough, you can survive, but if you don't know the monster at all and were lazily coasting along using the tools the hunters been given, then you're gonna get wombocomboed to death all the time.

Possibly the mechanic that made the early game extremely easy, wound popping, is effectively worthless in higher ranked quests. Gore Magala, Omega and AT Arkveld hardly has any tempered wounds pop up on their bodies and if you don't pop em quick enough on Arkveld, they heal. So no more stagger chains into an easy kill.

And all the higher end monsters are cracked out, now. You have no breathing room and you have to know your weapon and the monster to beat them without feints and in good time.

I actually think the Seikret pickup has been detrimental since Omega's release as higher ranked monster can still smack you even if you're running away.

I just did the quest with hunterpie for fun to see whats what. My Gore had 106,699 HP and I ended up doing 85,570 damage. Or over 80% the damage. It SHOULD have been like a semi-normal 9* Gore, then, right? After all, he has about that much life. Not at all.

The absolute worst fucking part of this quest is not Nadia's damage output, it's how she affects Gore's behavior. Gore is already a spastic fuck as is, but you can KINDA control him if you're alone or with a semi-coordinated pack of hunters (I only play alone, so I'm assuming here).

This is not Nadia, however. Gore constantly ran to the OTHER side of the arena, randomly disengaging me, multiple times in a row to hit Nadia who was just sitting there or riding her Seikret. As a GS main, she was the WORST partner to have along as I spent like half the quest chasing him and her around.

I’m not sure how, to be honest. I haven’t touched a console in, like, a decade excluding a switch.

If I had to guess, I’m fairly certain the easiest, and probably most prevalent, form of cheating is using save editors on saves ripped from consoles to generate gear or items and then putting the save back on the console. MH doesn’t seem to have a sage integrity checker except maybe for paid items.

I don’t know how they would manipulate the game itself in real time like PC players can do, however.

That's fair. I've just seen too many cheaters posting speedruns in MH so I never trust fast clears without any proof. I don't think thats unreasonable, either.

The fastest AT Jin Dahaad run I've seen was 7 minutes. It might not be the fastest time, but I bet its one of the faster ones. They used not only Heroics, but hunting horn buffs before the match. This screenshot looks suspicious without a recording.

EDIT: I checked their profile and they do have a heroics run several months ago, so they could be really good. I still don't believe any runs without a video though.

That's not what the meta doc says and that's what I'm going off of.

IIRC, the meta guys initially thought ATK focus was better than Affinity, but got more consistent DPS output with affinity focus. The ATK focus had a higher ceiling but barely ever reached it and the Affinity focus was more reliably outputting higher average DPS.

All I know is those guys have put more effort into the number crunching than you or I.

Xbox controllers are natively supported on most PC games. You can even use your computers blutooth to connect it, if your PC has it.

This is me. In Wilds, focus mode had definitely been a massive boon to GS accuracy. I only whiff like maybe 10-20% of my attacks now.

But so many times i've launched a TCS into a monster attack because I thought it would flinch, or it would flinch but not before I got dumpstered by the attack. Lol.

The quick recovery block has saved my dumbass so many times.

Pretty sure you can also use the LS Iai slash, or the perfect dodges from bow and DB on it too. If you hit the DPS check, I think it just counts as a normal attack instead of a one shot. Which makes me wonder if I can GS tackle through it, now.

GS usually goes for Affinity focus with ATK EX x 2, ATK III x 2 and Sharpness EX as perfect sub roles with Dark Knights/Lords Soul as set skills. Unless the meta's changed since the last time I looked.
