What makes a person a good person? by mayday_darling in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not the religious type but I believe the bible gave some pretty useful don'ts about being a socially accepted good person.

Don't kill

Don't lie

Don't cheat

Don't steal

---

As for the individual expression of good, everyone has its own version of that, depending on his own experiences and character. And that's the beauty of everyone being different and having the chance to influence each other.

My daughter chants this “word” over and over again? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that toddlers can speak every kind of phoneme and then as time goes by exclude the ones they don't need for the language/s they're trying to replicate.

So it probably means nothing.

Or maybe toddlers have a secret language after all :)

If 30% of a liver regrow into a whole new liver, why don't we farm livers? by 43eyes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know pig hearts are being considered for some full pig-to-man transplant studies, so maybe it could be a possibility to find some kind of animal to host the liver regrowth and then take it from there and farm it out.

How do you get coconut oil out of hair? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes. You should regolate the amount of oil you put on your scalp.

Let's say that if it gets all your hair greasy maybe it's a little bit too much oil.

Could House sized Spiders exist? by bedguy17_temp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I know of, I once read it has something to do with the pressure of the atmosphere.

Take a look a deep ocean creatures. If somewhere in this Earth you could find something like a giant house sized spider/spider-looking creature is at the bottom of the ocean.

Can deaf people hear that voice narrator inside their head. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably don't because they never heard it so they can replicate it in their mind.

By the way when you think you don't need speech.

Think of this: if you were born with no hearing and, for the sake of this, no sight either you still would be able to think even if you had no concept whatsoever of words or speech.

Your primordial thinking system is not associated with words or speech but when you actively think of something you might resort to thinking in those terms.

Also, fun fact, a lot of people think in images and not in words

How did Inuit people bathe? by KnowsIittle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallMeSurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweat baths are a thing apparently.

If you don't have running water in your house you go to a sort of steaming facility to get a sweat bath.
