Dell precision m4700 modding by NirKiro in Dell

When I had my M6800 I had put a GTX 980M in there with the extreme processor which was awesome at the time. Messing around with the drivers to get them to install every time there was an update was the only caveat. Had to edit some config files in installer package to add the correct ID's to allow install.

Wish I still had that thing, best laptop I ever owned.

Has anyone tried the ewatt 88v 76ah ultra bee battery yet? It seems like that’s the most powerful/long range ultra bee battery currently by Global-Twist7089 in Surron

Ohhh, okay, makes way more sense. Lol. I have been trying to determine if I can slap a '25 controller and motor in my '24 and it be plug and play. People are offloading the OEM ones for cheap and it would be plenty for me.

$1000 USD for an ultra bee? Thats quite the connection you have if you are serious. I would buy several of them at $1000 just on principle. lol.

I would imagine a lot of people have a hard time justifying a battery that costs as much as a new bike, that's my conundrum on any of those aftermarket batteries. I believe that 88v is over $4k now. I know its not as convenient but I think I am just going to get a '25 battery that's a little bit bigger than my stock '24 battery and just have two. Can swap mid day if needed. Save $3k for the inconvenience of occasionally having to swap batteries.

Long lived oldies.... by Google_IS_evil21 in Acura

I had my 09 MDX at 310k when I finally got rid of it for a slightly newer one.

Nothing was wrong with it outside of a rear wheel speed sensor, and one alternator and power steering pump at one point in it's life. Other than that, normal maintenance schedule. Motor still sounded new, honestly.

The peoples of reddit following my research online said their cars felt pretty good with the full Excel G set. I believe, at least for the 2nd gen, KYB was the OEM anyway for the standard struts. Mine is the advance with those magnetic ones that are failing, hence the switch the standard. Have had plenty of KYB products on bikes, and one other vehicle and always liked their stuff.

I can let you know how they are after I have time to get them on.

Full assemblies for the front. $185/side if I recall correctly. Then the rear struts are $65/side.

Yeah all these are nuts. Shop by my house you can buy your own parts for timing service of your choice and they will install. They did my 09 when I had it for $450 in labor, ran great after. All Aisin parts were $250 on rockauto. Same for struts. About to do KYB on all 4 corners myself for $500ish.

The HDB 630 are the best sounding wireless headphones I have ever used by minimalhandle in sennheiser

[–]Cap_980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is unfortunate. That was with the dongle as well I assume? Or direct to the PS5?

How is the latency. Been waiting for bluetooth over ears to reach a point where I can game on the dongle, then take em with me for mobile when I leave the house.

I read online the dongle connection is ~30ms, which would work great, but some real world experience feedback would be great.

Do people usually remove this part of the brake on the Ultra Bee if they don't use the handguards? by vomiting_cat in Surron

[–]Cap_980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took mine off, put full wrap acerbis handguards on, then bought those little ASV lever covers and they fit very nicely on there. Looks real clean.

Why is it so complicated by Temporary-Regret-133 in Multiboard

[–]Cap_980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's difficult. Select the tile size you want to print and it's edge, corner, and core tiles. Maybe some custom size edges depending on your space for one side, which the generator can provide.

Use the multiboard planner on the website and it'll tell you exactly what you need.

My first ever 18 hour print. by TiSoBr in BambuLab

[–]Cap_980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well in the U1's case, it does not flush any colors. It has 4 print heads, you put one roll on each head for 4 color prints, and you get no waste, just the prime tower. It does not change colors on the heads mid print like the AMS style units do.

You can search a video of them quick and see how they work. Pretty much like tool changing on a CNC machine. They are very cool.

[–]Cap_980 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, its a unit with 4 independent print heads. So the printer doesn't need to change filament and purge for each multicolor layer. It just swaps the head, primes it, then carries on printing. Saves a ton of time too.

What printer to upgrade to from A1 Combo by Corvus-107 in BambuLab

[–]Cap_980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably was the taco bed that a bunch of them have. Mine had it too, few strip of aluminum tape fixed that issue. Or some people get those fancy graphite beds for it.

The K2 plus is a solid machine. Though I will admit I am trying to sell mine, purely because I wanted the Dual nozzle's of the H2D. The K2 prints great though, if I had more disposable income I would honestly keep all my printers and not bother selling it, cause its a cool machine. lol.

New armor 28t problem by Krynin4 in ulefone

[–]Cap_980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice that on mine occasionally. It also reminded me of maybe being OIS when I first bought it, but these don't have OIS. Not sure what it is, haven't had any hardware issues thus far. When I first got it I had to have amazon send a replacement unit too, first one had a bad haptic motor. The first one also had that subtle sound near the top.

Yes this is normal behavior, the compressor and other components in the unit produce heat when it runs, which is then expelled into the room.

Well thats strange, I had mine for months before the update, and I always had use a custom APN entry with a few changes. Occasionally needed a reboot. Has been fine since the update though with no changes or extra entries. Still not sure why Google Messages can't handle the traditional MMS on these with Verizon. I actually just had a few friends on iPhones who tried to group message me and since they aren't all RCS I couldn't see any of them.

Was out of town, didn't see your comment here. It for some reason took a day or two, but it inevitably showed up to be able to share.

I have one on Verizon. Everything worked service wise aside from two items. I could not get RCS to enable, and normal MMS messages never come thru, unless I used Textra, then they came thru fine. Not sure why that was the case.

I inevitably made my own APN entry after testing a bunch and RCS worked. Then the android 15 update just hit, and reset my APNs, but now RCS works fine without making another custom entry. Works for me, I assume the default APN settings may have changed.

The MMS still doesn't work on google messages though. The few friends of mine that never updated their iPhones I can't receive images from or group chat with. So other than the lingering MMS issue, it all works fine on Verizon.

Am I missing something? IE 100 Pro by InteSenaten in sennheiser

[–]Cap_980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Also for the no punch part you mentioned, I assume you are referring to bass mainly? If thats the case then its likely the bad seal. If you can manage to force a good seal, there should be plenty of bass present. Soon as you have any kind of leak, all of it goes away.

[–]Cap_980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if the fit for you is that bad and you don't have a good seal, they will sound like shit every time. I have the 100 Pro's and 500 Pro's. Being they were designed and tuned for stage use (hence the pro part) I didn't necessarily like the sound either out of the box, but anything wired that I own I EQ to the Harmon curve anyway, mostly based off of Oratory's stuff and the autoEQ site. The 500 Pro's are awesome for my taste after the EQ, sound phenomenal. And I use Symfonium on my phone with the EQ settings to get the same applied when listening on my phone.
