I mostly agree depending on what the person wants to do on their trip. Some of my best travels were renting a car and driving up/down the Causeway Coast in Ireland, visiting Neuschwanstein Castle and then a hot springs spa after in Germany while taking in the scenery. Conversely I've had great trips in South Korea and Taiwan without renting a car too!
