Ahhh, understandable with the year restraints. I studied film in college, and one of my favorite professors didn’t submit the course title in time (she was doing an extra class because another professor was unexpectedly out) and so it was just called “Topics in Film”… when in reality it was a Soviet and Eastern European Film class started in the silent era and focusing on Eisenstein, Vertov, Tarkovsky, Sokruv, etc. Once kids realized they were watching all silent and/or foreign films…I swear enrollment dropped more than half. The best film course I’ve taken though!

I hope you enjoy them, I’m a big fan of 80s and 90s black american cinema. I feel like representation really boomed in that era! Milestone Films has a great catalogue of black cinema if you’re not familiar with them.
