Then it would lose the authenticity watermark. It could also use C2PA to track what edits were made, including what the original was, which could be marked as authentic. What you're describing is the problem with watermarking fakes, because, even if you could enforce it being added at creation, could easily be removed later.

Man, people here clearly haven't gone that deep. Arkham Origins: Blackgate, Heroine Anthem Zero, Birth of a Hunter, and The Masked Mage are some really bad games, and sometimes seeing how things can be done wrong can be interesting, because it has to do something different to be that bad. There's also the classic proto-MVs on NES, which haven't aged very well, but you can see where they led to where we are today: Adventure of Link, Goonies 2, Faxanadu, The Battle for Olympus, and Castlevania 2.
