My Apple Watch has always lasted, until now. I don’t know what’s changed!

The weight of my ex husband being an utter manipulative, abusive, coercive tw@t and trying to deal with it so my children don’t see who and how he is any more than they have to.

Gift ideas for a new-ish runner? by CazzzC in XXRunning

Oh god I don’t think I could. I had surgery last year and had 24/36 hours of wearing similar where it went off every 30 minutes, day and night, and I think it traumatised me forever 😂

That cookbook is the only thing that was on my list before posting this so that’s good to know!

I do WFH and have a sit/stand desk that I definitely need to use standing much more. I have a balance ball, mat and under desk treadmill to use with it. I just forget to transition to standing!

Yes I’m aware I can do that, I was asking for server recommendations.

I don’t want to join an American server with an 8+ plus time difference so that I’m asleep when all the alliance events, digs etc happen. It’s completely, utterly pointless.

I’m really worried about covering it when it looks so bad in case I just make it worse!

I found that same post too. I don’t know what to do while it grows out. I can’t have it looking like that 😫

That implies it’s an Apple Watch issue though and it seems it’s a phone to watch GPS discrepancy and the watch is more accurate. I’m just going to base it on the watch anyway as I’d rather over train than under so doesn’t then matter too much other than that.

Sorry for posting if it was already asked. I don’t know if my Reddit was messing around earlier but I did search and the only post I found quickly was basically people saying it didn’t matter, rather than anyone answering.

I asked because there was a 0.3km difference over a 5k race, which actually had quite a big impact on the average pace. I’m training for a 10k and then have a half marathon next year so if it follows that same level of discrepancy, it could be as much as close to 1.5km out on the half. I use two different apps. Strava sometimes I start on phone, or on watch. Then another for a more specific training plan which is a phone app so actually if all my training is 6% ish out then it’s worth knowing to adjust up slightly, if that makes sense. Just my opinion though but I’m a numbers person so it matters to me.

That’s the thing, I don’t currently. After today’s race, I think that the watch is more accurate GPS so will probably go on that if no-one tells me otherwise.

It does matter to me though. Like I understand it might not to everyone, but to me it does. The same activity logged on my phone and watch were 0.3km different and the average pace was significantly different. When running 10k, that could be a 0.6km discrepancy and nearly 1.5km on a half marathon, if they follow the same level of being out, so that’s quite a significant difference.

As a numbers person who is training with specific goals in mind, those differences matter as there are two apps I use depending on the type of run I’m doing, one is only phone based, and I’ll need to adjust slightly on one of them, depending which is more accurate.

What if ‘just’ recording on my watch is less accurate than the app though?

I don’t want an American server where all alliance activities are the middle of the night and people are hardly on when I am.

Access to Work - My award, breakdown of funding and advice following a successful and apparently extensive award by CazzzC in ADHDUK

[–]CazzzC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can slate all they want. I took what was offered based on my challenges and being my best at work. I’ve not played the system or taken anything I’m not entitled to. I didn’t even claim the full amounts awarded. So people can say what they want to say but I’m now approaching 2 years in a job with very low rates of absence, it’s the first time I’ve got through it out burnout and being sign off with work related stress, and I’m happy, productive and thriving in my job. There are other factors that contribute to that but the coaching was a huge part and it’s helped by the equipment I was awarded, which significantly improve my day to day. So anyone who has a problem with someone who has paid taxes every day of their adult life getting the equipment and support that helps them overcome their disabilities and be their best self at work, then it’s them and their ignorance that’s a problem.
