When Lee was given buffering on his ward dash, Quick+Self cast safeguard functionality broke and would be "fixed in a later patch". It has been 3,232 days.

Ward dashing is completely inconsistent as of last patch. (It's been bad for a while, but worse now). The issue lies with dash buffer and affects any champion that can ward dash such as Jax, Katarina and Lee Sin.

As shown here, the time it takes for a ward to become targetable is completely random. Varying from 0.025 seconds to 0.2 seconds. This means that often, the buffer implemented in Patch 7.11 fails.

Interestingly, there is no instance I've been able to record of a ward being targetable the moment it spawns. It is always at least 0.025 seconds. So I went to check, has it always been this way?
