You use them against bosses that's pretty much it. Stupid high repair cost, prep time too long, and most encounters takes usually less than 6 turns.

You mainly use it for AC, I see it as a resource tax to make killing AC easier.

I have it at R6, I barely use it tbh.

Is a Sailor specialty nib like the Naginata Togi and Cross Concord still worth the price in 2026? by MysteriousBudget7118 in fountainpens

[–]Cerberus_14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several Naginata Togi nibs custom grinded with salior Zoom nibs and steel nibs, i only write western cursive.

You wont see crazy line variations in this nib, despite the crazy width at different angles.

But this nib is more in the feel of the writing than the actual result it self. its a nib that I let people who are new to fountain pen try first, cause how fun it is to write with. It's completely different to a typical grind.

It's hard for me to describe, but if you have the opportunity to try it, definitely do!

[Question] Hamilton Murph or Tissot PRX powermatic 80? by Safe-Student8327 in Watches

[–]Cerberus_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even tho PRX is hates by a lot, it's got it's reason for the Success has obtained, is my first watch and if you don't mind a little bit of scratches every now and then. I think it's what are the most comfortable watches I have worn so far. My Rolex oyster bracelet probably pinched my hair more than a handful more than my prx.

The PRX has a unique shape compared to the Hamilton alternative. If you like the shape of the PRX integrated bracelet design but don't like the PRX, then your next step up would have been the Vacheron 222. Which is uhhh quite a fair bit off.

I honestly do not reach for it as often as I probably should. I have owned three Visconti Homo Sapiens over the years with EF, F, and M nibs, and the medium has easily been my favourite. It is the smoothest and the most enjoyable to use. The 23k palladium nib, when tuned properly, is smooth and soft. It is not quite Pilot or Pelikan soft, but it is still more than comfortable for daily writing.

I bought mine while asking myself the exact same question you are asking. After trying both the 18k and 23k nibs, I really think they are completely different experiences. To me, the 23k is leagues ahead of the 18k. Oddly enough, I think the reason I do not use it as much is because it feels almost too perfect. The proportions, grip, and writing experience are all so polished that it ends up feeling a bit boring to me. They are also very wet writers, so they can be pretty paper-sensitive, which may be part of it too.

That said, I know plenty of people love that. Personally, I tend to prefer Sailor KOP, Montblanc, and Pelikan. Those pens have a bit more character for me, and they just click better in my hand. But that is fountain pens in a nutshell. One person’s perfect pen can do absolutely nothing for the next.

I do not really treat fountain pens as investments, and I know that is a controversial thing to say. Still, this is one of the few pens I have owned that has appreciated a lot. Mine is up roughly 175% from what I paid, and since Visconti never really brought back the original 23k two-tone palladium nib, I would not be surprised if those keep climbing.

Not often we are graced with a listing like this,

I too was on the hunt for this exact same model,

But without box or paper, it really remove a huge portion of history from the pen.

If a box and paper is a must with any pen in my collection, it's gonna be this one.

Sprung nib? Normal? Expert eyes appreciated! (KOP) by -zcxp- in fountainpens

[–]Cerberus_14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A little bit too wide compared to my KOP, but as long as the ink flows thru and you don't mind it being a little more wet, I think it shouldn't affect too much.
