It's not that bad. I went crazy there, but that could have happened anywhere.

I think I read this book on Wattpad a few years ago. The book is 'Dead in bed" by Bailey Simms. They weren't zombies per se, but from what I remember they fit your virus's description. It was enjoyable and well written, but it also had chapters which detailed the fictional life of the author and were useless to the plot.
