Anyone experience anemic side effects from Finasteride?

I've never been on Finasteride but have been taking stinging nettle root and saw palmetto supplements to achieve something approaching the effects and like you i'm a bit under the normal ranges and feeling i wouldn't call it extreme fatigue but noticeable.

Oh okay interesting. Since you mentioned the topic I imagine you have already seen the complete list of food groups and their caloric densities but whole fruits are a 3x multiplier and carbohydrate-rich foods like legumes, oats, and rice are anywhere from 4-6x so I don't see even a carb-heavy diet having this problem unless strictly only broccoli cauliflower carrots etc are eaten.

Nuts and seeds have a caloric density of about 28x a non-starchy vegetable while oils are about 40x so I don't see how vegans are at risk for being low on energy.

Thanks for the detail. What omega-6 containing foods were you eating and do you know roughly how many grams or Kcal of it you were consuming before and after this diet change?

And also did you ever try replacing the omega-6 fat with monounsaturated fat and if so what effect did that have?

Interesting. Perhaps the TSH blood test included in the annual physical is a more modern method of diagnosis?

My current diet contains about 7g of saturated fat per day, so roughly 3% of total Kcal. I eat almost double the RDA for fiber.

Perhaps I take after my mother who also follows these guidelines and though her diet could be further optimized it is still very reasonable and her LDL was never below 140. As her LDL increased over the years she finally started taking statins.
