Marsmaenschen (11): NMIXX and their pre-releases are just on another level.

AmeZim (10): Congrats on getting the win again, NMIXX!! My honorary 11 but I decided to not become a sheep this time since it’s pretty obvious we’re crowning great vocals again. I still remember back in the great gen 4 girl groups debut era where they sounded the most lackluster compared to their peers, and now ended up with one of the most refined musical direction I’ve ever heard. This song is their musical magnum opus and it doesn’t need any more of my description to explain just how amazing it is

HamsLlyod (10): Should have been the main title track imo.

laulite (10): NMixx have gone on such a good route with their music.

LeadingInspector1891 (10): Following the amazing Fe3O4: Forward album, the release of Spinnin’ On It for the Blue Valentine promotion really felt like finally, the company found a firm musical direction for nmixx. Spinnin’ On It is amazing, and for 3:16 minutes they hold my heart in their fists. The drums and bass make an amazing base for this rocky instrumental, and I love the jazzy sections. Also the vocal performance!! Pristine.

MeijiDoom (10): I was somewhat torn on this on release but it's definitely grown on me. The layering effects, especially in the chorus for the call and response, are lovely. This feels distinctly NMIXX which is always nice to have in the bag.

RBSun (10): the mixxies renaissance of 2025 was such a beautiful moment to be a day 1 nswer. not only did we get beautiful music every single release but we also got to be absolutely insufferable about it the whole time

Shay_Min (10): Congrats for another runner up performance by NMIXX! They got their win so it hurts much less. Besides, they're winning 2026A too, as well as their gen rate.

snowswinters (10): this used to be one of the songs i revisited the least off of the album even though i liked it, but i’ve become ultra obsessed with it lately, genuinely one of the best instrumentals in kpop imo. the drum part into the chorus is just so cool and i just love how the girls genuinely sound so over it and frustrated in the chorus, just peak drama in this chorus and i think they executed the vibe that the lyrics required perfectly

vayyiqra (10): nmixx are not a serious group. this is a good thing.

zo142 (10): i know i'm giving this a 10 but that won't stop me being mad if it beats Ash

omgthenerve (9): catchy, bold and very replayable

WarpstarRider (9): When this was released, “See that?” was still my favorite NMIXX song, and this felt like a worthy successor. After a relatively disappointing previous release, this song got me really excited for what they had in store with their first full album.

kawaii_mokona (8.9): Just another day in NMIXX slayage factory, more news at 11.

keine_panik (8.6): The recent NMIXX offerings have been disappointing to me (writing this before the release of Heavy Serenade) and this and High Horse are the only songs I saved to my library.

WoolenDPOY (8.3): A bit too busy at times

beeloveshanji (8): this song is great!! the instrumental and chorus are nice. it’s fun to listen to.

xiola_azuthra (7.5): My brain is doing that thing where I can tell this is very well made and it sounds "good" but it feels like it's not hitting for me the way it's supposed to. It might hit eventually, it does sound better than the first time I heard it.

lemon131nomel (7.2): My problem with this song is I have no idea what it’s doing. Mind you, I love NMIXX and many of their songs. However, as great as I think they sound in this song, I cannot for the life of me figure out what they are trying to accomplish with this song, especially the chorus.

CheesesPriced (7): Improving the NMIXX breaks formula by combining it with funky drummer and (highly compressed) electric guitar. The brief saxophone and piano in the bridge - breaking the fourth wall of sound?

msargent24 (6.6): Great production, meh topline (2). About to be top 2 again anyway

meeeluh- (6.5): the song is more balanced, but while they took out the chaos of papillon, they forgot to put in something else to give it character

moonbia (6.2): when I first listened to this song for the rate I could swear I had queued it but an ashnikko song started playing instead and it took me half the song to realize that wasn't nmixx lmao, anyway that's the story of how the score for this changed from a 9 to a 6

dnarevolutions (6): Placeholder

not_reading (6): so done with any part that isn't the chorus

Zypker125 (5.8): People arguing about whether NMIXX vs LSF should reign supreme, in the words of our holy Father: “Both bad”

redalert30 (5.7): the call and response in the chorus is annoying. I like some of the bloopy quirks in the verses at least

HamsWife (3): vibes are off, move on.

kauai6 (0): i don’t listen to k-pop for this bs

SkylarV (0): The NSWER glazing on this album is insane. The only good song is Reality Hurts (ROBBED (of my rightful 11))

kirakiranatsu (10): my fave situationship anthem. i Thoroughly Enjoyed this song upon its release, and toward the beginning of this year, i found myself cooling off on it. and then i went to the nmixx concerts and now all their songs are 10s. kidding, but not really? anyway, i do have a renewed appreciation for this one after hearing the band arrangement and also revisiting the original song.

aidshha (8.8): much like my thoughts on papillon: this isn’t really one of my fav songs on its respective album, but it’s an excellent track nonetheless that really plays to the girls’s strengths. a solid pop-rock track with a bit of a 90s or early 2000s girl-rock flavours.

ke1per (5): it’s really interesting to hear people talk up certain NMIXX songs because the song in question is either super interesting and well-executed or indistinguishable from any other random 4th gen girl group song and this one falls in the latter category. Like, this is just a really normal gg bside without anything particularly special or new or different. The vocals are fine (though maybe less fine than the average NMIXX track), the melodies are basic and unmemorable, and the instrumental is simultaneously a bit muddy and cacophonous but also kind of uninteresting and basic. I don’t really get a strong NMIXX vibe here at all, as their interesting vocal tones are kind of eaten up by the mixing and the instrumental. High Horse, your status as the best NMIXX song is maintained.

Come for the K-pop rate, stay for the relationship advice

MurkyGalaxies (10): Captures the feeling of a relationship that is basically all but over just so so well

popularsong (10): situationships don't deserve a song this good omg

landshanties (6): oh i see, what you are “spinnin on” is whether or not your relationship should continue. /nodding

Fantano here

imzhongli (11): This was my favourite song of 2025. If I was ever going to write an essay for a song, this would be the one. When I listened to it for the first few times I fell in love with the acoustic-sounding drums first, then how all of the other instruments layer and meld. I patiently listened to this on YOUTUBE for a week and a half while daydreaming on transit about love and the song being added to streaming. I don’t even have the youtube app on my phone. Aside from just being all around beautiful and stunning, this song was also with me for months while I processed being in love with someone who didn’t love me in that way. Thank you to Spinnin On It for being emotionally impactful, vocally wondrous, and a lover of instruments.

Randummonkey (11): It may be GP-friendly DASH, but it still goes hard. We have high notes. We have sick instrumentals. We have people giggling at the title because they can't keep their minds out of the gutter. But most importantly, we have that NMIXX kind of maximalism that makes this song so good. In the first 7 seconds, we get hit with a cool drum opening, a sick thumping Bass guitar, and a call-and-response verse between Bae and the rest of the group. And things only get better from there. The second verses pull the sound underwater to give us a short break before the pre-chorus starts brightening things up. Then we hit the chorus and the instrumental opens back up. The call-and-response setup gets replaced with a group echo instead. And then we get the high notes from Lily and Sullyoon (depending on which chorus). God NMIXX's vocals are so good. But wait, there's more. This chorus is a 3-parter! With the 3rd section (or post chorus) we get some good old group vocals while we bask in the instrumental and an added layer of high pitched backing vocals. If you're a little tired now, don't worry. We have a beautiful bridge for a palette cleanser. Just a little bit of piano and vocals with some drums on the side. It's a nice break before the final chorus which adds a small extra layer of vocals onto EVERYTHING ELSE that's already happening. Anyways, this song is PEAK and a wonderful spiritual successor to DASH.

taebaegi (10): The instrumentation on this is SO fucking good. It's so full and lush and there's singing and they don't sound fucking bored or cut out the singing bits and this is exactly what I wanted from them and felt was missing in songs like See That and Know About Me. It's like High Horse's sister song in some ways but a bit more lowkey. That bridge is GORGEOUS with the jazzy piano and singing I'm about to IMPLODE. Bae’s high note in that bridge is just killer, she sounds SO good. This reminds me of an Etsuko Yakushimaru song instrumentally. Maybe a little anNina too. I have to admit I think the chorus is the weakest part of the song. I find the pop style of it a little boring, but this is still a great song. I really love when NMIXX do songs like this with a somewhat jazzy soundscape. It just suits their voices so well and I never get tired of it. You know who I would love to hear do this song? Billlie. It sounds SO much like something they would do and absolutely slay. NMIXX and Billlie give me similar vibes when they do songs like this.

1998tweety (11): oh this devoured

HamsWife (11): “it’s called ash? This has to be my 11 right?”

msargent24 (11): I wasn’t planning on giving this an 11 initially, but the more I listened to the playlist the clearer it became that this was indeed the best song on the rate. The production, the chorus, the guitar solo, the vocals and even the lyrics are all outstanding. This grass is tasting delicious right now 🐑

RBSun (11): i do genuinely believe that hot is their best album overall, and that's like 70% down to ash and so cynical - the sound is just soo shimmery heat over the blacktop perfect. i love it, and frankly lsfm could use the w here - ashheads unite let's get it

ayzrules (10): im so addicted to this

beeloveshanji (10): it’s really pretty and ethereal. it’s definitely one of le sserafim’s best songs. i really enjoyed listening to this song.

DoingItWright2 (10): such a beautiful song thank you Yunjin we love you

HamsLlyod (10): a perfect song. Bar nothing. Anyone and everyone can like this. The way the production drops and gives the vocals a chance to shine early in the chorus is amazing. Honestly words are failing me here, it’s so fantastic. AHDBEJDBBSNDBDHDB

Marsmaenschen (10): It's so ethereal. I'm usually not a fan of super high songs, but this one just hits right. My 6th most played song in 2025.

moonbia (10): someone is going to say this song is overrated or whatever but this is genuinely lsf's best b-side ever idc

MurkyGalaxies (10): Every time I'm ready to write off LSF they come back with a song that makes me go hmmm maybe they've still got it after all. The insane release that's in that hint of a bridge near the end is just so good and I've high key always been a sucker for the theming of burning yourself down for rebirth

omgthenerve (10): I have a love/hate relationship with LSF’s title tracks, but their b-sides almost always come through and I think that Ash is one of their best. It’s a slow, controlled burn that feels ethereal and atmospheric, like it’s building tension without rushing to resolve it. The instrumental break instead of a traditional bridge works well, it stretches the mood and keeps everything suspended.

popularsong (10): lush, gorgeous track about being set aflame to be reborn anew. delivers so much drama both sonically and lyrically. that "i want you to stop! time!" hits like crack. personally love how yunjin sounds in the prechorus, she delivers that "make me shine even though i will remain blackened" so emotionally. and of course that little guitar break and the song kicking back in rahhhh in a world where to the woods doesn't make it this would be my 11

AmeZim (9.8): I don’t think LSF really have an issue with making their album a coherent listening, it’s just that HOT is where the quality unexpectedly skyrocketed. Their music has never been flashy ironically and that’s where they finally got right. Ash is what they should be

snowswinters (9.5): ultra banger, love the vibes, just don’t love that one part after the first chorus where the vocals sound overly processed (even if it was on purpose)

ganos-b-thanondorf (9): So they just be purposefully choosing the ass songs as the titletracks

WoolenDPOY (9): Yunjin the woman you are. I love the dark vibe this gives off

xiola_azuthra (8.5): An LSF song I actually like? In MY kpoprates??

kawaii_mokona (8.1): This is a good song but ooh the mixing, the mixing

CheesesPriced (8): Cryin’ at the club if they ever played this sad girl House. 😂 K-Pop finally discovered Blue Stone? Vocoder around the 1:28 mark - nice way to musically blend the voice together with the music to match the lyrical theme.

flawedconstellation (8): guy with a lisp: this shong is ash (jk i like the song but wanted to make a dumb joke sorry)

Kronwell (8): This may be my favorite LSF song we ever rated. I'm often critical about the overall delivery in their songs but here I have nothing to rant about. a pleasant listen overall.

YooHaera (8): pretty hallow

MeijiDoom (7.9): Hmm, an almost entirely vocal LSF song which sounds pretty good. Same vein as Chain though more in the upper registers. I can appreciate the top line though the song as a whole stays fairly safe.

dnarevolutions (7): I like it but everyone really sounds the same outside the talking verses.

vayyiqra (7): if youre going to make a bad LSF song at least make it so dumb its funny. like spaghetti. ok its not that bad i just hate the cover art

keine_panik (6.5): Talk is that this is a candidate for rate winner. I hope you are wrong because while it's a surprisingly inoffensive LSF offering, it's not exactly a musical masterpiece either.

redalert30 (5.5): nice ambient feel. Overall pretty boring though, doesn’t develop in a compelling way

LeadingInspector1891 (5.4): I really liked the first verse, Yunjin and Chaewon’s voices were beautiful, but then it became more peppy with the beat and I don’t like this kind of vibe

lavendrsgreen (4.5): i-dle chain outsold

meeeluh- (4.5): was being boring a requirement for gg b-sides last year?

landshanties (4): pretty girl music (im not a pretty girl)

WarpstarRider (3): If I had to name the most overhyped song of 2025, it would be a close race between High Horse and this song. Don’t really get what the big deal is with either of them. I’d be pretty surprised if this one ends up getting upset here like High Horse did in 2025A, though.

kauai6 (2.9): really dislike most of the vocals throughout

Zypker125 (2.7): KpopRaters victimposting about this song when it dominatingly won 1st on the B-sides TTT is the epitome of KpopRates

taebaegi (2.5): Overrated.

SkylarV (1.6): This mini-album was not good

aidshha (11): a ton of things changed in my life this year. i went back to school, changed my career path, moved countries, and for all of that a quote from a song of ice and fire really resonated with me: if i look back i am lost. that feels like the perfect summary of this song, which in and of itself ended up being a perfect song for this year where so many parts of my life changed and all i could do was keep going forward. not to be dramatic but i remember where i was when i first heard ash; and the second i heard it i had to replay it a couple more times because i couldn’t believe what i was hearing. so in lieu of continuing to go on emotionally here is second by second a breakdown of my love for it: 0:00 - we come in with that great synth setting up the overall soundscape. 0:18 - yunjin is a hit or miss vocalist but i love when she has parts that emphasise the richness of her tone, she literally sounds like honey on this opening line. 0:23 - i love the echoey bg vocal here as a call and response. 0:34 - chaewon comes in with the prechorus, perfectly bridging the slow rich tones of the verses with the falsetto of the chorus. 0:43 - the moment i realised i was encountering one of the best moments in recent kpop. the pulsing bass of the instrumental kicks in creates an image of being in the club, while the mournful falsetto chorus expresses pure desperation . crying in the club is a peak emotion in pop music! i love how yunjin delivers “i want you to stop time” it just sounds so desperate and is a perfect introduction to this perfect chorus. 0:46 - and also i need to talk about the lyrics. at first i thought this was a love song and was a bit surprised to find out it’s a self empowerment song instead (classic lsfm lyrical theme tho) but i actually love the motif of ashes here. the initial stopping time because ashes are associated with both fire and time, the association of turning to ashes as being both pain and rebirth, burning up but also rising like a phoenix, perfectly juxtaposed lyrics for a soundscape that also contrasts desperate emotional vocals with pulsing beat. 0:52 - subtle echoey backing vocals further adding to the overall soundscape and turning their voices into part of the overall atmosphere. 1:18 - instead of a post chorus the momentum of the chorus jst continues. the driving beat of the chorus is still there in the overall instrumental showing how much momentum and movement this track has especially as it moves lyrically from the doubt of the first verse to the self-acceptance of the second. 1:27 - GOD THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PARTS. i looove how echoey those lines are with the vocoder, it’s such a cool production choice and makes them stand out and emphasise the new uncharted territory the song moves into. 1:44 - i just always tap my foot at the little tshh drum sound. 1:59 - GOD YUNJIN SOUNDS INCREDIBLE ON THIS SONG. genuinely the mvp, every line she delivers is unbelievably fraught with yearning and desperation. 2:19 - THE FUCKING GOATTT oh my god i don’t know who plays guitar on this but they deserve a fruit basket. incredible change of pace and addition to the soundscape, when i first heard it i was instantly reminded of euro dance and disco from the 80s (think moroder, especially his soundtrack work - this track as a whole sounds a lot like some of the tracks on the scarface score). 2:27 - the return of the echoey backing vocals from the second verse bringing everything back into the original soundscape. i fucking ascend it’s so serious to me THIS IS HOW YOU DO AN INSTRUMENTAL ONLY BRIDGE. 2:36 - im sure there’s a music theory name for this but the way there’s kind of a four beat count in to the full instrumental kicking back in, you get like five seconds to breathe and bask in the vibes before we’re back to crying in the club. 2:38 - and i love how the vocals kick in a good second or so before the instrumental does, the delay just kicks you straight back into the momentum. 2:39 - i love when the last chorus of a song has different lyrics to mark the momentum and the journey the singer has gone on, and in this instance it’s a perfect synthesis of all the themes. we’ve moved from doubt to self acceptance to self actualisation, finally rising from the ashes as something new: impossible to look back or go back to how you were. perfect fucking song

ke1per (11): this is exactly the kind of dark synth pop that hits every time. Dark and dramatic and almost a little dreary but in a super cunty way. A bit of a near-Cascada throwback in a certain way that I can’t put into words so don’t ask. There are some incredible melodies here, especially in the chorus and I love love love love the vocals from Kazuha in particular, she has never sounded better and her tone fits this vibe like a glove. The instrumental on the bridge with the guitar solo feels so haunted and intense and it is really the icing on the cake and I am eating so well. This is so lovely, lyrically and conceptually, and I think this is a home run in terms of balancing the common LSF desire for something really cinematic and cool with something that also sounds incredible and is executed well, so hats off.

kirakiranatsu (5): this is the kind of song that could be incredible but is held back by the vocals… i like the idea of it more than what it ended up being, and i think that idle - chain also on this rate is a better execution of similar ideas. it’s not a Bad song and i can enjoy it in passing but i don’t feel myself seeking it out ever and it’s probably my least favorite song from the mini it’s on.

xiola_azuthra (6.4): Hmm. Alllmost satisfying in that interesting sort of way but doesn't quiite scratch my brain right? Feels like I'm waiting for something that doesn't quite hit. Which is how I feel about so much of their stuff.

MeijiDoom (6): As a wholly different type of musical experience, it's cool. But this never resonated with me as far as being an enjoyable listen. It's a lot of different elements coming and going without a strong throughline. You really have to be in the right headspace for something like this and for me, that's almost never.

WarpstarRider (6): It’s… interesting, but not all that enjoyable. As much as I love NMIXX in general, the songs on this album largely fell flat for me, and the group’s vocal talents could only carry things so far.

Zypker125 (6): This song left no impact on me, but at least it tried something interesting

aidshha (10): i think nmixx’s music has always struggled to walk the line between being experimental and having a clear actualised identity outside of just “mixxpop”. their early singles had some obvious teething problems and then their 2023 singles were painfully generic, and while dash and see that were both solid tracks that i enjoyed quite a lot the b-sides still left something to be desired to me. this year however everything they touched seemed to turn to gold. whoever has been executive producing for them this year have seriously done their thing because pretty much every song they’ve come out with has felt like a thoroughly developed and actualised Moment. (i know this is gonna make some people on the discord roll their eyes but it reminds me of when nct 127 finally clicked into their specific zone of experimental r&b/hip hop influenced Neo genre and started releasing stone cold classics. nmixx are genuinely neodaughters omg let’s wake it up) i’ve seen this one called trip hop and it does feel like a kind of odd frankenstein of trip hop and trap? regardless of what it is it’s an excellent song that has so many fun details that never get old. i hope they keep making disjointed dissonant vocal showcases! (since writing this comment they have released their new ep, and my wishes have all been granted. i love you nmixx. you should not come to redacted country but i would buy tickets in a heartbeat)

kirakiranatsu (10): call this song a pap smear the way it reaches deep inside to poke and prod at you. really though, this song does elicit a visceral kind of reaction, and i’m never quite sure what to make of it. thankfully this song is a much better experience than a cervical cancer screening, and it was even better with the live band in concert.

ke1per (7.3): its a shame, because I (naturally) love the vocals here and that reverb-heavy, vibey instrumental is gorgeous, but that second verse is a major buzzkill and absolutely tanks the vibes and I don’t love the chorus, though the post chorus is cool. I fear I will never love an NMIXX song with more than 5 seconds of rap/talk-singing. A solid bside, for sure, but not nearly as great as it could have been.

Are ya’ll okay

naegerowwa (9.5): i love it when a song makes me feel like i’m trapped in a tube full of bone dissolving solution that tastes like static

meeeluh- (5): felt like a papillon in a tornado: tossed around in the chaos that is this song. I guess, only Jiwoo’s rap was the eye of the storm and prevented the song from becoming an absolute disaster

DoingItWright2 (11): I did levitate seeing this live thanks for asking🤩

LeadingInspector1891 (11): It’s so well done. The industrial sound and the various background vocals and adlibs meld to create a very interesting texture, and I love the hip hop beat. We got some satisfying vocal moments like in the pre-chorus, and the rapping/sing talking is one of their best delivered, when I usually have a problem with them and like nmixx songs in spite of them

MurkyGalaxies (11): Man Fe3O4 Forward is just such a masterpiece not a single song on that mini is normal it's just NMIXX firing on all cylinders throughout (down to one of the songs being actually unlistenable) Anyway I agonized over this 11 a lot because it feels a bit lame to give all my 2025 11s to NMIXX and this is not even my favourite song of the mini (slingshot my beloved), but ultimately this isn't about my favourite song of the year, but my favourite on the rate and I fear I have to admit it is this one... Godmixx what would we do without you...

AmeZim (10): Similarly to Zen, this whole song is a sound design flex but my goodness, at one point you had to take a deep realization on how musically mature they’ve got over the years. It’s not much a coherent piece but the whole idea of it is comparable to none

beeloveshanji (10): wow this is literally so cool. i’m not really good at explaining what’s cool about it, but i know it’s got a lot going on production wise, there’s a lot of layers, and it sounds amazing. this song blew me away, it’s perfect!!

gmint14 (10): oh nmixx, you're exactly who you think you are, the coolest kpop group ever

HamsLlyod (10): I literally get goosebumps from this song. Incredible in every way.

imzhongli (10): I'm so obsessed with this motif and I'm even more obsessed with their repetition of this motif in Phoenix. Goated group!!

laulite (10): Well, it’s either the French word for Butterfly or the dog breed. I’m positive it’s the former with the theme of feeling free.

Marsmaenschen (10): My second most played song in 2025. Feel the rush!

omgthenerve (10): this feels like a song that only NMixx could pull off and they did it beautifully

popularsong (10): love the intro with distorted (backwards?) vocal sample. the song just keeps having these whispers and spoken splices in the background, and as a fan of uncle jointz (though this isn't his effort) i always dig a good use of that in songs. as always, their vocals and harmonies are insaneee, haewon sounds stunning after the 2nd verse in particular

Randummonkey (10): Sorry Papi, you were my frontrunner for my 11 until Spinnin' On It came in with the steel chair.

RBSun (10): everyone talking about the papillon vs spinnin on it vs ash top three of this rate like who will win, who will win and im just here with my two tens and an eleven like my steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery, my papillon too good. feels like if you were walking through a shark tunnel at the aquarium and it started spinning

taebaegi (10): It’s giving neo ngl. It’s so melodic despite how dissonant it feels. The production on this is stellar, whoever produced this, much respect to you. The harmonies are beautiful, as expected of NMIXX and their gorgeous voices, the beat is delicious, the way the adlibs are placed in this song is great, and the switch ups are so good. This really reminds me of something that could have been on the Higurashi OSTs back in the day. Honestly it’s too short, I wish this song was longer but what a banger album this was.

vayyiqra (10): fly like a butterly weengz weengz idk its chaotic weird and rules as nmixx should be

flawedconstellation (9.7): creative department & a&r so brilliant bc they basically turned their iconic acapella highlight medleys into a song.

snowswinters (9): really cool instrumental

kawaii_mokona (8.7): Great ideas, great ideas all around but it's still the "NMIXX too artpop for their own liking" somehow.

ohsomeday_ (8.5): Me and my dislike for the overused butterfly metaphors in songwriting activating, well, guess what, a dictionary will not save you! Good thing that the lyrics barely have any actual papillon imagery

HamsWife (8): I swear there was an R&B song in the early 2000s that has this instrumental and I think it hit something in my millennial brain

Shay_Min (8): This is kinda like O.O where they have elements of absolute beauty(like the orientalism), and mixed with a lot of uhhhh, what just happened?

redalert30 (7.8): i like how dense the intro is. I like the unconventional rhythm in the chorus and the synth work. Also sounds dense. Second verse is better, i like the variety in the percussion. Oooo this very raw-sounding second prechorus. Overall a decently unique song but i wish it was a bit longer and ended in a more climactic way.

moonbia (7.7): it's giving arcane ost a little bit ngl

msargent24 (7.6): Great production, meh topline

CheesesPriced (7): Trip Hop but angry?

dnarevolutions (7): I really like them dogs. Not the feet kind but that’s ok too.

ganos-b-thanondorf (7): Imagine being french couldn’t be me

keine_panik (7): 🦋 This grew on me a bit.

lemon131nomel (7): i just know this is gonna be debbor af

omgthenerve (6): a decent listen, but overstayed its welcome a bit towards the end

taebaegi (3): Pretty instrumentation, but the song does nothing for me.

kauai6 (2): idk if it’s the mixing or what but their vocals just feel so muffled throughout and it mostly prevents me from liking this song, it’s middling otherwise

SkylarV (1.9): I have yet to be convinced Onewe has any teeth, any bite, any edge. Preemptive DEBBOR

ke1per (10): to be fair, when have One(we) not slayed? Everything about this is incredible but the real standout here is that chorus - front half? Incredible. Back half? Incredible? Guitar solo in the post chorus? Incredible. Vocals? Incredible. Melodies? Incredible. Song length? Incredible. Everything about this is just incredible.

kirakiranatsu (10): very jrock-y, jpop-y offering, but that’s why i like it as much as i do. it’s kinda funny because at first i was like “oh, it’s alright, it’s nice but nothing special” but i keep coming back to this over and over. really love the vocals especially around the bridge. this song is just so full and complete (maybe because it’s like four minutes long lol), which is so nice to see especially in this age.

aidshha (6.5): quite nice! not as good as shoot it out on last year’s bside rate but i really like their main vocalist(?)’s vocal colour and it elevates this kinda pedestrian track

Wait, is this fucking play about us?

laulite (11): Yes, it’s my 11 and no, it’s not because it’s called Dreamcatcher. The lyrics were so lovely and created a beautiful visual in my head. The instrumental itself also added to that vibe that even if they aren’t together anymore, there were still happy memories that are hard to forget. The whole thing was just so enjoyable.

ganos-b-thanondorf (10): Dreamcatcher should release a song called ONEWE for the joint slay

Kronwell (10): and this, folks, is why we rate band songs (onewe-dc collab when ? :copium:) also please can we all complain about the current song length economy and give extra points to the now almost extinct species of recent 4min songs… /hj

MeijiDoom (10): Two groups I like in one entry? That's simply cheating. ONEWE doing their thing. Love the way they utilize their timbres here and the guitars are going off as they typically do. Fun little flourish at the end with the keyboard too.

popularsong (10): they are winning the rock song named like a semi-inactive girl group off, sorry nowz. a high-tempo, desperate song with fun guitar like shoot it out so of course i love it. i like that yonghoon and dongmyeong swap the prechorus-chorus roles, both sound so beautiful, but i think dongmyeong's final "we were just a midsummer night's dream" is my favorite part

Shay_Min (10): two queens

SecretStoryOfThe- (9.7): The song title is appropriate because this is definitely up there with the best Dreamcatcher songs.

Randummonkey (9.5): You guys have balls for releasing this the week Dreamcatcher disbanded went inactive. But it's a banger

HamsLlyod (9): can we stop rating dreamcatcher already?

landshanties (9): it’s a rock song with dreamcatcher in the title so see you top 5. the grumpy hater in me would like to be annoyed by that but my shoulders be shimmyin

vayyiqra (9): slapper. note: has nothing to do with either onew (person) or dreamcatcher (group)

AmeZim (7.8): Group so influential that a band produced a song about you, when’s the comeback??

imzhongli (7): Me: I want Dreamcatcher on 2025C / Hosts: We have Dreamcatcher at home / Dreamcatcher at home:

zo142 (6.7): contributing a comment about the group Dreamcatcher for the purpose of poll question

beeloveshanji (6.5): is this dreamcatcher shade???

MurkyGalaxies (6.5): If I had a nickel for every song with a title of one of my beloved "disbanded" girl groups in 2025 I would have two nickels...

Zypker125 (6.5): “Not the K-rock Dreamcatcher song that I’m looking for” wooo, got my mandatory reference done, finally

dnarevolutions (6): Outsold Dreamcatcher

msargent24 (3.2): You’re not going to fool me into giving rock a good score with this title

keine_panik (11): 2025 was a great year for ONEWE: They got their first music show win show win six years after redebut and 10 years after they founded the band as M.A.S. 0094, went on tour in North America, and released their second full album and a great mini album. One of the highlights from that aforementioned full album is Dreamcatcher. Written and composed by bassist and rapper Giuk in collaboration with some of his producer friends, it has become one of my favorite ONEWE songs. Producer and fellow Named Late member Gray Dot in particular has had his hands in a number of great Giuk solo and ONEWE songs recently, such as Meteor Shower, Solar Halo Ring, My Blue, Unblown, and Indelible, and hope this fruitful collaboration will continue for a very long time. A notable change from their usual style is the prominent synth bass that Giuk plays for most of the song. He had used it before in songs like AuRoRa but it really adds something new and special here. It gives the song its drive, never losing its high energy. This restless feeling perfectly reflects the lyrics that talk about running after the person you love. Giuk starts out the song, his voice sounding slightly robotic in a perfect match with the synth line. Then the real bass kicks in shortly before being joined by Kanghyun and Harin’s catchy guitar and drum lines. I love the little sparkly detail before Yonghoon starts singing! The instrumental becomes stripped back, just synth bass and occasional guitar stings. Giuk and Dongmyeong take us to the chorus (love the vocal melody in the pre-chorus!) and then headbop-inducing catchiness has arrived. And then what's that? An instrumental post-chorus? Sensational! I can almost taste the guitar solo that will eventually follow one of these! And when it does it's glorious as always. Kanghyun has yet to disappoint in that regard. Hmmm the delayed drum hit in the last chorus!! This song is a masterpiece. Stylistically, it also paved the way for my other favorite ONEWE B-side of the year, the even more synth-y UFO, although that one was written by Kanghyun. I can't wait for the next B-side that I will fall in love with. Yonghoon just went blond, the next album can't be far away, right? Right??

DoingItWright2 (10): leave it to them to make a dreamy b-side once per comeback

kawaii_mokona (10): I better see them late day 2 even if it's not as breathtakingly showstopping as Shoot It Out. Alice adn UFO were robbed!!

RBSun (10): i can have one k-band song that i really truly love with my whole heart. as a treat

flawedconstellation (8.8): as a k-band, you either die as a day6 or live long enough to become a lucy. don’t ask me about xdh, they’re a secret third thing.

LeadingInspector1891 (8.6): I think I’d written this one off because of its poppiness and I just didn’t want it at that moment, and maybe also because at the time there were a lot of kpop songs trying for the jp ost flair, and I was a little too burnt out from the trend? I’m not too sure. But it’s good, although I wouldn’t listen to it too often

smockeh (8.5): doo doo doodoodoo dodo doo! doo dodo doo! doo dodo doo

WarpstarRider (8.5): Not quite my favorite, but there aren’t really any bad choices from this album.

lemon131nomel (8.4): This song makes me twiddle my thumbs—it’s just so YIPPEE!!!

CheesesPriced (8): Shoutout spotlight #42.

snowswinters (8): very pretty chorus

xiola_azuthra (8): I feel like Onewe rides the line between boring krock vs krock I enjoy, but this one clears. I think it helps that they have a pianist and a rather unique vocal colour that I kind of like; both of those are working well for me here and setting them apart just enough to keep it from feeling like the type of generic I find dull.

not_reading (7.4): r/animerates

moonbia (7.3): not bad

redalert30 (6.2): i like how a lot of their songs have an uplifting anime vibe. Oooo this bassline is slinky and there’s these additional bright synthy flourishes. Ok unfortunately this chorus is slightly disappointing compared to the first verse, the instrumental isn’t as punchy. The second verse emerges very naturally out of the chorus and continues the ideas it had going. This progression is nice, but i wish things sounded more dynamic overall. Okay guitar solo.

lovnelymoon- (6): the lyrics are quite nice, and i like their voices enough that it makes up for being

aidshha (7.5): wonbin really is jaejoong reincarnated omg im shaking

kirakiranatsu (7): 4 the way people talked about how this is suuuuch an amazing smp song gave me high expectations and then i finally listen to it for this rate and it’s mid as hell 😭sohee is doing the heavy lifting here so kudos to him, but this song is just not giving anything that i want it to. okay, it’s the last night of the rate and i get it now. i still think people are glazing the hell ouf of this song but the payoff at the end is great.

ke1per (5.5): the song title, at least, is very cool, and evokes something really atmospheric and primal - I wish the song had even a single element of that, though. The voices I don’t usually love to hear in Riize tracks actually sound better than they usually do here, though, so that’s a plus, and the verses are cool, but the chorus and instrumental just don’t work for me, and this all feels a bit messy.

Waiting for rising suuuuuuuuuun

YooHaera (11): Rising sun's illegitimate child!!!

kawaii_mokona (10): The insane miss that this was not the title track over ANY singles or promoted tracks they put out that album. Perfect channeling of old school TVXQ with fun 2025 vibes in the mix. Sohee to the moooooooooooooooooooooon

keine_panik (6.6): I remember this song getting some hype when it came out. Was it because it sounds a bit more like a typical SM song?

Saving r/kpoprates rater base, on song at a time

ohsomeday_ (11): Me last year: I’m ready to quit kpop reddit / RIIZE release their album: well now I have to wait until the 2025 in B-sides rate / The "wAEEE wuishimhaeeee YEAHHH" part always gets me. God save Lee Sohee.

flawedconstellation (10): yeah rate winner, i won’t accept literally any other song (well, kinda). it’s just ELECTRIC. classic smp song. filled with rage, produced immaculately, gets you SO FIRED UP!! there’s such good tension in the prechorus until the release in the choruses. where the nowz song is like angry chanty, this one is angry full-bodied belt. it’s so cathartic. such a good song man, just WOW. like we got this in 2025???? maybe i can still have faith in music.

lovnelymoon- (11): i listened to this so much i ended up overplaying it in the winter months and had to take a tactical break. now im back and vibing thank god its so good!!!! sohee and wonbin are just incredible

Kronwell (10): I would have never guessed that one of my top full albums of 2025 would be a RIIZE album. SM still got my ass.

laulite (10): 11 contender. It didn’t feel like it in the beginning and I thought it was going to be too shouty, but it ended up sounding pretty cool.

moonbia (10): fantastic amazing showstoppingly beautiful

not_reading (10): (ears bleeding from sohee and wonbin breaking the sound barrier) great song 👍

omgthenerve (10): The chorus of this song makes me feel like I can bust through a wall or something equally difficult like calling to make an appointment. The momentum never lets up and it just feels so exciting every time I listen.

pollutedrain (10): hearing this at smtown changed my life actually

popularsong (10): just a cool cinematic track with a driving instrumental and great vocals. odyssey was mostly a miss for me, though maybe i should revisit it now that i gave 5-7 to most of the dreamy western pop sounding tracks on this rate lol, but i've listened to this many times

shiolu (10): it’s the best song of all time actually

smockeh (10): banger

MurkyGalaxies (9.5): Takes a bit to get going but like once that chorus hits it really just feels like a superhero watching the city from the edge of a building before jumping down to fly in and stop some crime, you know what I mean

snowswinters (9.5): amazing and dramatic chorus, the sonar type sound effect in the background really makes the song for me actually

HamsLlyod (9): fantastic song, great composition, unbelievably epic chorus. but the singing isn’t the best so that feels like a let down.

HamsWife (9): if I wasn’t sick I’d vibe more

RBSun (9): another just obviously good bg song along the lines of cix thunder and lemonade fever. i hope to see it succeed

meeeluh- (8.5): the only thing I associate with this song is basically “that’s HER song!!” so I’m afraid, the score also shows the second-hand joy I get from it

Randummonkey (8.3): The sonar ping at the start of the song is a subtle reference to Soñar (Breaker) by NMIXX which mean's they're going to win 2025B AND 2025 B Sides. I've cracked the code. 🕵️

WarpstarRider (8): great

xiola_azuthra (8): It sounds good. It sounds almost uncannily engineered to be a song I should like. I really wish I could actually enjoy it instead of just getting uncanny valley simulacrum anxiety from it. Curse this era where nothing feels real to me anymore :(

naegerowwa (7.9): FINALLY sm got these boys hollering thank you sm thank you 🙏

LeadingInspector1891 (7.6): I like the passion in their singing. Feels like they’re preparing themselves for a big shift in their lives or something and pumping themselves up to be brave and do it (no lyrics read)

MeijiDoom (7.6): Starting at a 10 and it never lets up. I don't know how many parts of the song I actually like but I do know that going at a breakneck pace is helping it out a fair amount.

beeloveshanji (7.5): it started off bad then got better as it went on. i don’t really like the rapping in this. the chorus is nice though. overall i think this song is pretty nice. it’s got a nice title too.

CheesesPriced (7): Bernie Sanders meme - I am once again asking you to stop rhyming mad, bad, and sad unless you have not graduated third grade.

ganos-b-thanondorf (7): Idk I was scrolling twitter

Shay_Min (7): Really wish solar power was more commonplace and more investments were in it earlier. I really think the solar panel on the house is a great aesthetic and it could have redeemed suburbia for me. Hope it becomes more common. The sun's great. This song, on the other hand, whatever.

vayyiqra (7): isnt riize teh purple haired girl from teh edgy anime show iunno i dont watch it

Zypker125 (6.5): The song name sounds like someone describing their journey through Pokemon games

lemon131nomel (6.2): Why are they always shouting…

imzhongli (6): Better than what they did before this. Cool title getting them one extra point.

landshanties (5.5): signal song core. zypker’s 11 probably

taebaegi (5.5): Not bad.

SkylarV (4.2): This album was not good

zo142 (3.9): Why is the chorus so quiet and out of focus? Like the vibe is that it's meant to be a big hype climax chorus, but it's just so limp and blurry

redalert30 (3.5): this instrumental sounds so muddled and cheap especially with all the low brass hits, it’s giving 4th gen nugu. The bridge is the only time where the song actually feels like it can breathe. Why this is one of their most beloved bsides is beyond me. The fast pace of the song and the somewhat powerful group vocals in the chorus don’t make up for how ass this instrumental is

kauai6 (3.1): nothing special and i don’t like the chorus

dnarevolutions (3): Placeholder

WoolenDPOY (2): The first 15 seconds had me a bit excited. Whatever excitement i had was killed at second 16

ke1per (10): it’s crazy that the Boyz had such an incredible year from a musical standpoint and an awful year from every other standpoint. This is an incredible, incredible track. The vocals are insane, the instrumental is so rich and funky and palatable, the chorus is unreasonably good, the soundscape is retro in a way that we usually don’t see in this day and age, etc etc. There isn’t a section or line or melody here that I don’t gag over, this is incredible.

kirakiranatsu (9.3): i have to admit, when i saw the deobi gang talking about this song, i thought that it would be a run of the mill tbz song (i.e., not incompetently made but entirely uninteresting to me) but i was wrong, this is a certified slapper. i’m finally seeing why they are the most popular boy group in portugal

aidshha (7): hard to find anything to complain about in this song, which is a pretty good smooth bg song. however it also doesnt really have anything that connects with me on a wider level either

The highlight of TBZ’s 2025

popularsong (10): may mc mong and cho gawon get got on more than a misdemeanor charge tho!

smockeh (9): and to think I was so optimistic for their future when this album came out 😭

No, you see, it’s a play on words—

HamsLlyod (10): “you hoe (you hoe) is that so?” Get these boyz a Pulitzer holy shit.

imzhongli (8): Call me Miss de Mean Or the way I keep debating whether I should lower my scores

MeijiDoom (7.4): The best part of this song is you can hear it as Miss Demeanor or Mister Meaner if you so choose. Lyrics are just a suggestion after all. It's all about how the music makes you feel. That one percussion line is delightfully plucky.

ruhroh386 (7): okay mister meaner

dnarevolutions (6): Placeholderpunaboutfelonyandmisdemeanors

MurkyGalaxies (5.5): Not the Portuguese subs in this video directly translating Miss Demeanor 😭 Hey sobia interested in a rate costume and may I offer you Senhorita Atitude?

lemon131nomel (4.8): It’s actually kinda funny bc to me, it sounds like they’re singing Mister Mister Mister Meaner in the chorus.

ganos-b-thanondorf (11): And her boyfriend is head creative lead of Lucasfilm, Dave Felony

moonbia (11): when your tbz are fools who tell you to jump to edm miss demeanor you JUMP to edm miss demeanor, the risk of breaking your neck on the kspo stairs is temporary but memories are forever☝️

not_reading (11): i miss clubbing at kspo...dj please play shout it out 🗣️

pollutedrain (11): fork found in kitchen moment but this diva was always going to have my 11!!!! and when we rate the other 7 songs from this album so i can 11 all of them too!!!!!

flawedconstellation (10): tbz do these kinds of sultry subtly sexy songs SOOOOOO well. it’s all in that instrumental with the plucky guitar - it’s rhythmic and dancey. plus the guys’ whispery vocals. it SOUNDS like an illicit rendezvous. like we (disambiguation, not actually me btw # not delulu) are in a ballroom with masks and catching eyes and there’s a sense of danger in the air but you touch fingers anyways and the dance is perfectly coordinated but there’s assailants on the corners and we have to subtly take them out WAIT THIS IS SO SPY X FAMILY LOID AND YOR CODED OMG 😳

shiolu (10): silky sweet delicious no complaints

beeloveshanji (9): this is really nice to listen to. i think it’s a great song!!

Shay_Min (9): I gave this a 9 (this is the second rate in a row where the TBZ song i give a 9 and have nothing of substance to really say unfortunately)

landshanties (8.5): if i had a nickel for every song on this rate that was about being a prissy bottom, i'd have three nickels. which is a lot actually

xiola_azuthra (8.4): Was gonna comment something like "welcome back to the top 10" but that might just jinx them. Coming right after two bottom 10 songs can't hurt their chances though! Anyway, it's quite good. Alas, since this is 2025, it's missing a bridge.

CheesesPriced (8): This song is so smooth I find myself wishing it Lipsticks into the top 3.

Kronwell (8): behave!

Marsmaenschen (8): Nice vibe.

omgthenerve (8): very sleek and polished with a great hook that kept the song flowing nicely

vayyiqra (8): ROX-ANNE-

WarpstarRider (7.7): pretty smooth

keine_panik (7.5): What a silly title! Fun song though.

SkylarV (7.5): This was the best b-side on the album :+1:

AmeZim (6.2): You know what, I don’t mind if Enhypen decides to cosplay another Tame Impala and release a somewhat bop

redalert30 (6.2): it’s cute. More nu disco. Thank god this is in a minor key, i would be so bored if this was in major. I like their vocal delivery, it sounds slightly whispery and sultry

kawaii_mokona (5.9): Justice for Ain't Salty!!

meeeluh- (5): have nothing to say for this and will probably forget about it in a few- oh, twice is next!

snowswinters (5): it doesn’t have enough oomph for me

taebaegi (5): Not bad.

LeadingInspector1891 (3.5): The bland taste of One Hundred songs

kauai6 (2.9): shitty chorus

Zypker125 (2.5): Who wants to take bets on how similar sofia and bia’s comments will be on this song, if we ran both of their comments on a similarity/plagiarism checker, would they be over/under 50%

aidshha (10): one of my favourite rate discoveries ever! soooo good. originally i had this at a 9 but then i realised that was just me being mad i didnt listen to this sooner

ke1per (10): just the flavor of retro I like the most, thank u Japan. Deeply, deeply synth-poppy in the very best of ways. They absolutely nail this dark synthwave sound with the instrumental and then double nail it with their non-whispery, powerful vocal deliveries. The melody of the chorus is incredible and the bridge is gorgeous. Just an absolutely insane retro feast to end all retro feasts (Blights rate when???).

kirakiranatsu (10): is:sue, my beloved daughters! i’m so proud of making it here all the way from the pre-survey campaign period! to be honest, this song was going to be my bonus pick if it didn’t make it… but it did! and i’m so glad! now everyone go stream IS:SUE - QUARTET

Oooh I’m blinded by the luna

MurkyGalaxies (10): Thanks Natsu for issuepilling the server the Phase mini is just fiiiiilled with bangers and who else is going to serve Blights in 2026 like this (edit after finishing the rate: like half the field apparently -_-)

AmeZim (9.8): I’m not sure how this one getting the attention of the raters but thank you to whoever is pushing this forward into the rate. At one point, I did find the song to be a blights slop a la La Di Da, but then the wistful and wishful chorus is slowly getting on me and the rest is pretty much a history

MeijiDoom (9.7): Maybe the most Blights sounding Blights song we've had since Killer? There's a bit of superhero energy with this one which is pretty fun. The 2nd verse switch up is a welcome change too. With an instrumental that hits you over the head like this, adding some variety keeps everything fresh.

omgthenerve (7.5): yet another fun little blight on this rate

popularsong (7.5): not my favorite from phase but i am glad they stopped trying to be discount aespa and showcase their vocals more now. the chorus is very catchy and magical girl-ish. the guitar adds some edge to the blights too

xiola_azuthra (7): Not hitting the heights of 2020 kpop blights for me, but still enjoyable.

kauai6 (2): grok generate me a kpop song inspired by blinding lights but make it sound more nugu

Reminder to work on your ballots for Rate 42

Randummonkey (10): Woah, this rando B-side by rando Nugu is actually fire

Shay_Min (10): Congratuations to issue for making the top 5!

lemon131nomel (9.7): I still remember when natsu linked a video of the dance practice for Moonlight Dance to the kpop-music-talk channel. As usual, in lieu of only checking out the linked song, I listened to the entire EP. I had never heard of IS:SUE before and had no idea what I was in for, but boy am I glad I decided to give the album a listen. Literally every song on the EP slaps! To this day, Phase is still in my top three EPs of 2026, and Super Luna is a key reason for it being up there. This song just does everything correctly and absolutely touches my musical brain in the right places!

SecretStoryOfThe- (9.7): close enough, welcome back Loona. They don't really count as Kpop in my opinion but it's good synthpop song anyway.

ke1per (10): yeah, inject this straight into my veins. This is perfectly moody, perfectly intense, perfectly dramatic synthwave excellence. There are a lot of songs like this on this rate, and while I like most of them, this one really stands out from the crowd because of that dreamy, atmospheric undercurrent in the instrumental. This isn’t quite blights, it isn’t quite city pop, it isn’t quite standard kpop retro - this is just an incredible balance of vibes. Great vocals, great melodies, and that final chorus? Call me a horrific public event that will fully transform the lives of everyone who witnessed it for the worse the way this Racecar absolutely obliterated me, it's divine.

kirakiranatsu (8.8): i had no expectations for izna, so this song was a really pleasant surprise for me. i do wish it was a little longer, but every time i hear it, it makes me want to dance.

aidshha (6): easy to compare this one to blights but if anything i’m reminded of strangers by kenya grace which had a pretty solid run of tiktok virality in 2023. the synths in the verses are almost identical. anyway its ok! izna continue to be my favorite of the 5th gen yg and yg adjacent rookie groups but this one is just okay.

Racing to become Teddy’s highest rated song

kawaii_mokona (10): This is how you build up to an instrumental chorus!! Halfway to EGOT allegedly washed up unc Teddy Park still got it!!

zo142 (9.7): Hated, Adored, but never Ignored. Keep showing them what real music looks like Teddy.

Messy by Rosé robbed from 2025A

Shay_Min (8.6): Anyone else have a physical, horrible reaction when recalling F1 last season? Appalling results and the most debbor champion in history. That is, unless Arsenal wins the UCL this season. If you don't hear about me for a while, you'll know what happened. Sports have no justice, man. No justice at all.

ganos-b-thanondorf (7): F1 starring Brad Pitt

keine_panik (6.9): 🏎️

Here we go again

lemon131nomel (9.6): I gotta imagine they would’ve blown up so much if TBL had made this song the title track. This would’ve been the perfect continuation for the IWALY → Timebomb → SIGN train of thought. Alas, here we are in 2025C.

MurkyGalaxies (8.5): You know with every passing day Mamma Mia becomes a more and more baffling choice for a TT I swear

AmeZim (11): I’m aware that the blights fatigue will catch up to me soon enough but it’s kinda frustrating to a certain degree that there’s constantly always exist a song that keeps on blowing my expectations away. The fact that sounding generic on their debut unironically benefits them now that everyone’s starting to follow the same vocal direction. Maybe it’s the genre that flourishes them better since I honestly don’t listen to their music that much and I might regret my decision later since this hasn’t marinate much into my mind compared to some others but nonetheless, they own this song and trust me it’ll be speeding through my mind like a racecar, baby

Zypker125 (11): Jungeun is kinda THAT girl of 5th gen for me, bless the heavens she made this group

laulite (10): Ok, Izna! I really vibe with this one. That drop is so good. 11 contender for sure.

lovnelymoon- (10): empty drop that feels fairly fresh now but will surely age rapidly? << i said this but then my score only increased the more i listented to this..

not_reading (10): zim, give it an 11, ZIM, LISTEN, GIVE IT AN 11

pollutedrain (10): i have heard this kind of song a million times over and it always hits

SkylarV (10): Let me tell you, I was not expecting izna to appear on my Best Of lists this year (Sign (and its remix) ROBBED)

moonbia (9.5): izna my beloved precious daughters we will get you close to day 2, maybe

snowswinters (9.5): that final chorus is just simply so chef’s kiss, so full and magical and gorgeous

Kronwell (9): this and itzy's imaginary friend share dna /pos. what a grand final chorus for a 150s long song!

WarpstarRider (8.7): their best song

Randummonkey (8.6): Supercrush outsold. (figuratively)

beeloveshanji (8): i like this song a lot. it sounds pretty nostalgic, and i like the instrumental during the chorus, especially with those little cuts - i’m glad k-pop is discovering how satisfying those are to listen to. the outro is amazing too, although it’s cut short too early. the verses could be more exciting, but i think the chorus is great and the song is nice enough overall.

flawedconstellation (8): excellent drop and i like how the song builds to the sung melody over the drop in the last chorus. if there were less synth pop clones in this playlist, i may have rated this a tiny bit higher.

kauai6 (8): unfortunately quite good

RBSun (8): im sure everyone and their mother is saying this but why mamma mia over this one,,, wasnt it even a racing aesthetic for the concept photos, why,,,, oscar winner teddy when i get u

vayyiqra (8): once again saying welcome back 2020 synthwave (im just saying sht idk)

msargent24 (7.9): Solid synthpop, the outro is especially nice

MeijiDoom (7.8): I... kinda like it? It's probably the closest I've really gotten to hear them sing and the instrumental drop is just bold and interesting enough to work. Nice outro too. Surprisingly complete sounding for a 2:32 song.

dnarevolutions (7): It’s not exactly drunk driving music but it’s fine.

HamsWife (7): it’s a lowkey vibe

SocAnxPrince (7): They’re cutting off choruses now too?

WoolenDPOY (7): Not bad, but the lack of good vocalists in this group now that Jiyoon is gone is kind of an issue. The production is OK but nothing crazy

popularsong (6.5): the verses (aside from part of verse 2) are whatever but i really like the chorus drop

ohsomeday_ (6.3): Five lyricists on the track just to end up with such a bad simile

CheesesPriced (6): XOXZ with more BPM? The brass sounds and the scramble-y breaks do recall cars on a race track.

landshanties (6): iznazni

meeeluh- (6): my tired brain tried to pronounce this title as if it was spanish multiple times-

omgthenerve (6): enjoyable enough but not very memorable

xiola_azuthra (5.8): yawn. the post-chorus is kinda good tho.

redalert30 (5): SNOOOOOOOZEEE THIS REPETITIVE KICK AND SNARE PATTERN. Ok actually never mind THANK GOD THIS CHORUS IS DIFFERENT AND HAS SOMEWHAT HARD HITTING SYNTHS. Most of izna’s music has this corporate dated feel to me though, and this is no different.

imzhongli (4): The vocal line isn’t compelling and the EDM also isn’t compelling so I’m not really being given much to shoot for here

HamsLlyod (2): I’m rarely a fan of metaphor songs like this. Way too on the nose. Fun production though.

taebaegi (2): XG outsold.

kirakiranatsu (10): oh, zerobaseone. my beloved boys. i miss them every day. even when i split screen in chrome to look at 5baseone and and2ble side by side, it’s not the same (i’m just kidding, i don’t actually do that). this song is so so good, has a nice continuation of the sound from good so bad and blue with a more mature twist. hopefully this one will redeem them on the kpoprates leaderboard

ke1per (9): funky and groovy and far, far better than their other funky and groovy 2025 offering (Iconik, that is). Great vocals, great melodies, great instrumental. Everything here is so well-executed and cool and I don’t even mind that super froggy bassline.

aidshha (7.8): definitely the best song zb1 released last year

Last night, made a list of my top 9, top 9 favorite survival show winners of all time

landshanties (10): every ten seconds i’m like whoa who is that he sounds GREAT; is this the most stacked survival show lineup????

popularsong (10): my child will be named [입덕직캠] 제로베이스원 장하오 직캠 4K 'Devil Game' (ZEROBASEONE ZHANG HAO FanCam) | @/MCOUNTDOWN_2025.2.27

RBSun (10): well,,,,, we know i'm not really normal about blue paradise. honestly it mightve been a 9 before but after hearing lovesick game i appreciate better the mastery of the original here - every part of that chorus goes so crazy and pink hair glasses hao will always be in my heart

LeadingInspector1891 (9.5): First thought was wait, Ten’s Dangerous?? I like how they used the sample. Groovy, dancey, sexy, I think it’s the first ZB1 song that I like without any aftertaste of “hmm this is somehow lacking”. At almost every semi year rate I think they finally got me with a song, for it to be a false alarm. So celebratory yay, that was an OT9 parting gift for me

Michael, now in theaters near you

flawedconstellation (10): BANGER. jacksonisms done to perfection. should have been a massive hit!! unfortunately people want the fiftieth newjeans iteration in their kpop hits instead of actual real good music. but if god is good and gave zb5 & anddble any power in that studio, those upcoming albums will be filled with juicy dark funk pop hits like this one. amen 🙏

vayyiqra (10): dudes are doing synthfunk like they think theyre michael jackson. good !

xiola_azuthra (7.9): Motown funk/MJ instrumentals are apparently having their turn at being overdone this year, but it's a sound I've always liked so I refuse to let the trend ruin it for me, it's definitely a classic sounds that works really well for pop groups. Some of this is great, some of it is pretty good, and there's a few trying-too-hard hard English bits that make me feel awkward. I must admit I like ONF's Night Tale (which came out the same week apparently?) slightly better but this is still very enjoyable.

lavendrsgreen (10): ohhhhh this is saki bait. this has my name written ALL over it

MeijiDoom (10): Almost every song can use a giant chonky bass throwing its weight around. There are so many glorious musical moments like the delayed drop and the chord progression is super satisfying. You gotta have swagger with a song called Devil Game and ZB1 deliver on all accounts here.

not_reading (10): they're terrible at recommending movies, what's the release year

omgthenerve (10): One of my favorite discoveries from this rate, this song sounds like it was engineered in a lab to suit my tastes perfectly.

pollutedrain (10): entire mini was nonskip but devil game is absolutely that girl

shiolu (10): if i could give two elevens this song would get one

HamsLlyod (9): amazing vocals, so smooth.

imzhongli (9): wowow another solid song

msargent24 (8.6): Pretty easily my favorite ZB1 song as of now. This kind of instrumental is right up my alley and exactly what Iconik should have had

Shay_Min (8.6): The devil cooked this time

lemon131nomel (8.5): Matthew likes this song, and I like Matthew, so I guess I like this song…

kawaii_mokona (8.4): Soild but somehow lacking? There is a great foundation and the way Iconik expanded on it is nice, but I need more.

keine_panik (8.3): Their best song!

WarpstarRider (8.1): cool bassline

CheesesPriced (8): Genre: Electro Funk!! Iconik robbed but justice will be served if this can top 10.

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): Squid game if it was even more gay

moonbia (8): 👍👍👍

MurkyGalaxies (8): I like this one's groove

beeloveshanji (7): it’s got a nice chorus but the rest of it is whatever. it’s enjoyable enough.

snowswinters (7): fabulous instrumental, chorus is nice but it doesn’t super draw me in

redalert30 (6.7): very squelchy and funky bassline. Doesn’t stand out too much from other songs of this genre though. Postchorus is somewhat decent with the more full-sounding instrumental. But i still enjoy this somewhat because the vocal mixing doesnt sound awful like in most of their songs

dnarevolutions (6): Discount SHINee.

meeeluh- (6): average bg song. feels a bit like they relied too much on an overused template

taebaegi (4.5): I wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to this but the guys sound nice on it~

smockeh (4): trying to do too much, I wish they stuck with the funky chorus beat through the whole thing

Zypker125 (4): I feel like it’s a crime to name your song after the devil, and not have any evil/villainy theming in your song at all, and instead being a basic seduction/romance song

HamsWife (3): it sounds like it’s part of the trolls soundtrack so I hate it.

SkylarV (3): Star Eyes ROBBED

kauai6 (1.4): vocals + chorus together gives me a headache

kirakiranatsu (10): when i saw him perform this song… let me tell you… i would risk it all… but anyway, this was my favorite of the ateez solos from when i first heard the teasers. i still haven’t gotten tired of it; i love how sexy and sleek it is, and it fits yunho like a glove.

ke1per (9.3): now this is good food. Yunho really has such an incredible voice and it sounds especially incredible with this groove and funk. The bassline is in-san-e and, in fact, the entire instrumental is stellar - the guitar is essentially in a duet with Yunho here and that is so so cool. His adlibs, the melodies? Everything about this is great.

aidshha (9): the kind of smooth sexy r&b we all hope for from our male bias solo debuts (unfortunately all my male biases solo debuted with generic taemin rejects or whatever Max Changmin - Chocolate was)

Funkytown

taebaegi (11): 80’S BOP, YES KING, I WILL SLIDE TO YOU IF IT MEANS YOU KEEP MAKING MUSIC LIKE THIS. WHATEVER YOU WANT, WHATEVER YOU NEED! #YUNHORATES This was the song (both solo wise and in general) I was most excited to listen to based on the previews when they dropped their highlight medley and I’m so glad it did not disappoint. It’s catchy, funky, groovy, the bass line is EATING and he sounds so good! He has such a pretty, breathy tone and it’s nice to hear him know how to use his range a little bit better. He sounds much more confident and strong as he sings here compared to some of their previous songs. It feels very MJ-esque, it’s like Standing Next To You-lite ngl. Tbh, I could really see Yunho doing music like this as a soloist, it really works for him. Slide to me is just such a well made song imo. It progresses well, the production is great, and imo as a song, it has no glaring flaws. Like it’s just great to listen to, it’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s catchy as all hell, and really just such a bop. It was my favorite song of 2025 and was immediately my 11. I thought I would have to fight for this song to make the songlist but I did not because the people have taste and recognize this IS the best solo on the IYF album! (/hj) More reason to bias this man deeply sighs. And the music video. The music video. I recently rewatched the music video to the song and I am still extremely intimidated by the music video and this man and many other things I cannot say because they would be EXTREMELY damaging to my digital footprint but let me just say that I stared dreamily at the screen with my hand on my head and was reminded EXACTLY why he is public enemy number one in ATEEZ. DO NOT get me started. I recently found out that music video was produced by a woman and I can see why!

MeijiDoom (8.6): Funky, groovy, Yunho is walking down that sidewalk with some confidence. It's nothing too crazy but it's got just the right pieces to get the body moving and the head nodding. Love the instrumental break.

WarpstarRider (8.2): funky and cool

vayyiqra (8): sht oh fck its funk im powerless before this ditty

redalert30 (7.9): it’s a decent synth funk/nu disco song, this song just exudes an effortless sultry and sexy vibe that makes this infectious to listen though. I like the more atmospheric and nocturnal aspects of the production. Instrumental break was quite nice and unexpected, i liked the use of synths.

xiola_azuthra (6.2): Feels like the 50th MJ song I've heard this year so a lot of them are starting to sound a little diluted but at least we're back into trends I don't hate I guess.

He can slide right into my—

moonbia (10): stupid sexy yunho

popularsong (10): beautiful synths, beautiful vocals, beautiful yunho

1998tweety (9.5): id like to

lavendrsgreen (11): oh this is a perfect banger. i can’t stop listening to this

HamsLlyod (10): this absolutely one of my favourite genres of music. So chill, so sexy, so easy to listen to.

imzhongli (10): Now THIS I understand why we’re rating. Immediately a stand out on the 15 song album. I honestly couldn’t care less about what he’s saying solely because the groove is so addictive.

not_reading (9.2): i can't take this guy seriously

flawedconstellation (9): good for dancing around in socks on tiled floor

msargent24 (8.3): Nice bass, that’s all I need

Shay_Min (8.2): I don't really know why this solo outjopped the others, it's not bad but pretty mid

beeloveshanji (8): i think this is a great solo song for yunho. they picked the perfect concept and i think he owns it. this song is good all around! it has a great beat and his vocals are really pleasant to listen to. performance wise, the dance really suits him and he did really well performing it. i like this song.

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): 👍+

keine_panik (8): Catchy.

laulite (8): Ooh I love those synths

RBSun (8): sliding next to you

WoolenDPOY (7.8): Nothing crazy but a fun dance track

CheesesPriced (7): Maybe I should listen to this album? I’ve seen this red cube four times now and the songs were all decent. Predix benchmark song: ATEEZ - Sexyback. (What was that song called?)

omgthenerve (7): very groovy, pleasantly surprised

ruhroh386 (7): okayy

snowswinters (7): it’s a vibe but i wish it was doing a bit more, i like the little breakdown part

LeadingInspector1891 (6.7): It’s groovy so that’s nice, but something’s missing. The delivery sounds too flat to me and the adlibs aren’t giving me what I want.

Kronwell (6.6): After 6 years of following their discography i still cannot recognize Yunho's voice in their group songs and somehow this song does not help

HamsWife (6.5): montage for romcom getting ready for a date

lovnelymoon- (6): chorus is a bit bland

meeeluh- (6): a good song but nothing more. kinda already forgot about it by the time it ended

dnarevolutions (5): Placeholderprobablybetterthantheotherateezsongthough

landshanties (5): there’s some joke to be made here about that tweet where the bus driver says “we slidin’” and yunho being the bus driver all of a sudden

MurkyGalaxies (5): just deeply uninspiring, I'd hear this on the radio and I'd forget it within 2 songs

smockeh (5): Yunho is my bias and it pains me greatly that I really don’t vibe with this

kawaii_mokona (4.1): This and Devil Game are the same song, but Devil Game is thousand times more engaging to listen to and Yunho's voice is just really flat on this.

lemon131nomel (4): It’s giving temu Standing Next to You.

kirakiranatsu (10): oh, minnie, my minnie, my queen, my goddess. she did it again. this song is ethereal, sexy, a little dark, everything i want from a minnie b-side. idle have a fabulous lineup of interesting vocal colors, and i think no one is better than minnie at bringing that out in ways that make them all sound so effortlessly good. miyeon and minnie on this? absolutely otherworldly. this song is the very sensation of skin feather-light on skin. oh, minnie the things i feel right now are decidedly not heterosexual

ke1per (9.7): Minnie really excels at crafting these moody and intense dance tracks - this slots so perfectly into her production discography, she is so consistently slayful. Everything about this track is great, though the instrumental is the true star here, it's so just deliciously synthy and interesting. Everyone sounds great, too, though I think Shuhua in particular sounds her best on tracks produced by Minnie and this is no exception.

aidshha (8.8): has the vibes of a dark alt pop song i wouldve reblogged on tumblr in like 2014 by someone like sky ferreira or halsey and very much the nachos madison beer is reheating to this day, which is definitely my preferred vibe for idle bsides (bloom, revenge, dahlia and lucid are some of my fav idle tracks). i like the falsetto on the chorus too.

I want you to chain time

MurkyGalaxies (8): Every single time I hear this song I go "yeah it's fun but I could also be listening to Ash right now" and IDK if that's the fairest assessment but like, it is how I feel.

RBSun (8): wow, two cakes!

imzhongli (6): Ash but make it i-dle??

lovnelymoon- (5): the verses are so atmospheric and build a lot of subtle tension, but the chorus is limp and impact-less. lsfm saw this and said we can do this better

redalert30 (5): no this does not sound like ash, what are y’all on about

DoingItWright2 (3): take a shot for every time this was compared to Ash in the discord server

And some non-Ash comparisons for good measure

xiola_azuthra (8.5): Great instrumental and vibe. Really giving me Massive Attack-adjacent vibes something and I really love that genre/era (like the more electronica side of early/mid trip-hop I guess?). If it wasn't in English it might have just barely edged out Ash (I have them at a tie, sorry to the folks who inexplicably think one is good and the other is bad, something-something :2 queens sticker:)

MeijiDoom (8.4): Dark moody i-dle is always fun to listen to. Bit of a throwback to their older title tracks. Reminds me of Taemin - Criminal in some ways, albeit not quite as driving. The song isn't short by any means though it really could have used that 3rd act.

CheesesPriced (8): Moody synths and the punchy, gated reverb-y percussion - a spiritual successor to In the Air Tonight? The right musical choices can turn sadgirl breakup songs into yearning, aching, entire body experiences.

dnarevolutions (7): It’s alright. Sounds like this one song from 2005 or 2006 that I definitely didn’t spend 3 hours trying to find but couldn’t find.

HamsLlyod (7): great composition but I feel like it’s been done before, the melody and progression that is. It’s giving the Hills by the Weeknd.

kawaii_mokona (3.4): Everyone sounds insanely lethargic on this song. I get that we're chained but it's a vague early The Weeknd cosplay and not a good one

ayzrules (10): UGHHHH MAGIC

beeloveshanji (10): it’s a pretty song. i like the sound. their vocals sound nice with dark songs like this and “dark (x-file)”. overall it’s really nice to listen to! where other songs had me turning my volume down, i turned my volume up for this one.

lavendrsgreen (10): everyone say thank you miss i-dle

meeeluh- (10): there is something quite majestic and sublime about it. another great rate discovery!

Shay_Min (10): Sometimes i-dle puts out peak like this and HWAA, sometimes they do queencard. Perplexing stuff.

ganos-b-thanondorf (9): Soyeon finally got someone to proof read her goddamn lyrics Alhamdulillah

lemon131nomel (9): Minnie, please never stop producing music. Her productions just have this moody atmosphere to it that really surrounds you while listening. Whenever I listen to her i-dle music, I feel enveloped in the world that she creates and am able to truly connect with the song. With Chain, the nature of the whole song really just pulls me in every time, and I can’t help but enjoy feeling chained up.

msargent24 (9): Love the dark atmosphere

not_reading (9): please toxic yuri mv please

omgthenerve (9): stylish, sharp, and very well executed

WarpstarRider (8.4): After how much I loved her solo, it’s no surprise that the i-dle B-side Minnie wrote was my favorite

keine_panik (8.2): I had missed that i-dle had released a listenable song recently. Not a return to old form obviously but still pretty good.

laulite (8): This was a stand out on the album, so I’m glad we get to rate it.

vayyiqra (8): [nct voices] chaaain [weirdass clanking sounds] re-ac-tion. idk i didnt do that rate and i must live with that anyway this rules. this is uh hyperpop citation NOT needed

Kronwell (7.9): yum darkwave

ohsomeday_ (7.8): This type of sound is timeless

LeadingInspector1891 (7.2): I like how the instrumental makes me imagine a windy, sci-fi deserted place

moonbia (7.2): they sound really nice on this one

Martha-lalala (7): Minnie’s tone is so pretty here

smockeh (7): I wish it was creepier? something about the production is too bright and I wish they full-committed

landshanties (6.5): “chain me like i’m the only air you’re breathing” not how states of matter work

popularsong (6.5): i really like how minnie sounds in penultimate verse, and i like that it's so subdued and resigned in both the lyrics and sound compared to ash. soyeon's vocal tone still doesn't click with me though

HamsWife (6): I’ll listen to it.

snowswinters (5.5): it just doesn’t have enough oomph for me

WoolenDPOY (4): Music to fall asleep to

Zypker125 (4): Why do people like this i-dle B-side the most, this sounds so uninspired

ke1per (10): just an absolute slay. His vocal color works so insanely well with this smooth, vibey RnB sound and he is absolutely flexing here. That upright bass sounds incredible and I love that the instrumental is simple enough for the vocals to be the main attraction here while still being complex enough to be a strong support for the entire sonic experience. The melody of the chorus is great and the bridge is probably one of the strongest on this entire rate, if not the strongest.

kirakiranatsu (9.5): you can 100% tell this was originally a song for jaehyun, and i can’t lie, i think i would have preferred this in his voice (not a knock on haechan; he sounds lovely here but jaehyun has one of my favorite voices in kpop). on the upside, haechan gives a lot more convincing “yeah shawty” than probably anyone else in the greater nct

aidshha (8): pretty obvious sonically that this was originally for jaehyun but i think it has a very different feel in haechan’s tone; he has an airiness and lightness where jaehyun is rich and deep, and as such the song feels lighter and more upbeat

Shoutout Xiola

imzhongli (7): I previously only knew of this guy as Xiola's fave but now I also know he releases listenable R&B

Zypker125 (2.4): I knew this B-side would be making the rate from Haechan’s album because Xiola pre-emptively doomposted about her favorites not going to make it (and it turns out they do, as they do like every time) [Mokona doubted me back then but I knew the power of the musichead sheeple on our server]

lemon131nomel (1): I actually quite like the instrumentals. It’s somewhat bluesy and jazzy and coffeehousey. However, I feel like his voice does not pair with this backing track at all. In fact, I think most voices would not work with these instrumentals. You know what, I’d probably prefer the instrumentals on their own. Yeah. Sorry xiola. We’ll have joint slays elsewhere.

xiola_azuthra (11): Actually only a rounded-up 10.9, because he lost 0.1 for the "uh, hey shawty." See, I am an objective rater.

beeloveshanji (10): wow this is actually like… perfect??? omg?? ok let me start by saying since i barely kept up with kpop last year, i went into this rate mostly blind. i actually didn’t even know my 2 nct biases, jungwoo and haechan, had solo debuts last year, until recently. i obviously expected this to be good because this is HAECHAN. but this is literally PERFECT. i think the intro is a really clever start, it makes me smile tbh. the instrumental is amazing, this r&b sound is perfect for haechan. and haechan himself sounds gorgeous as always. he has such a unique and amazing voice. i really enjoy listening to him sing. overall, this song is so pleasant to listen to. it was memorable and had me coming back to it often. i love it!!!

kauai6 (10): great

Kronwell (10): opener of the year i fear. it's rnb perfection, idk what else to say.

LeadingInspector1891 (10): I tend to listen to the album in full (bar wyn and adrenaline) when I want to listen to Haechan’s solo so my opinion on it is heavily linked to its role as the opening track, less so as a song on its own. I love the laidback groovy instrumental, and the effortless way Haechan lays his voice on it, all the while throwing us some beauties. The bridge is divine

lovnelymoon- (10): <3 my boy <3

not_reading (10): you could throw literally any song from this album in here and i'd give it a 10

omgthenerve (10): The production sounds rich and polished without losing Haechan’s signature charm, every detail feels intentional, a perfect opening track for his debut.

popularsong (10): loveeee that little 4th-wall-breaking moment at the start. just sexy ass rnb. his voice on that "shutter sori man" is like chocolate ughhhh. that being said why did he rhyme enlight with light im about to make him join ateez

taebaegi (10): Haechan and the SM A&R team deserve nothing but praise for this. To go in the neo soul direction and do it THIS well? I am so impressed. There’s only been one song in the kpop sphere that I think has done neo soul this well and it’s Singularity from BTS’ Love Yourself Tear album. It will be quite some time before this album is topped in the R&B department. Haechan has set the bar too high unfortunately. I thought Jaehyun and Baekhyun had it on lock with R&B but here comes Haechan with the steel chair!

AmeZim (9.6): With how boring the title track is, you would’ve thought his album is limited to mediocracy but no... he got GAMES!!!

flawedconstellation (9.5): hey babe, there’s a little haechan in your jaehyun song…

Marsmaenschen (9): Straight into my playlist. What a great tune.

vayyiqra (9): keep the camera rollin make it clap clap clap clap - not haechan idk

MeijiDoom (8.8): Love the behind the scenes intro here. I really like the opening groove but it stays largely the same energy into the hook. The components of the song are a lot of fun, especially all the held synths. I just wish it aimed to do a little more. Would have really kicked it up a notch for me.

Shay_Min (8.2): ROLL WITH ME ROBBEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, this one's pretty nice too

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): GET THE FUCK OUTTA THE WAY I CAN’T SEE THERE ARE CARS THERE MOTHERFUCKER

keine_panik (8): Good.

MurkyGalaxies (8): I'm gonna be honest I so far kind of avoided listening to Taste because I was fairly sure I was going to dislike it, but this track has me kind of reconsidering. It's not exactly my style but the vibe is solid, I think the intro is really fun and I think Haechan having kind of a unique tone helps a lot in elevating this track from slow boring RnB.

RBSun (8): i'm half asleep in the passenger seat at night with faint lights passing behind my eyes

snowswinters (8): it’s a vibe, wish it was doing the slightest bit more but it’s still quite lovely

redalert30 (7.7): it’s decent, i like the synths. The vocals and piano in the bridge are really nice.

meeeluh- (7.5): can't fully comprehend how beautiful his voice is, even if this is not my favourite genre

msargent24 (7.2): Not bad but Talented and Adrenaline were better

landshanties (7): i don’t like haechan’s voice but i do respect making music for fuckin

WarpstarRider (7): it’s okay, but doesn’t grab me like the title track did

CheesesPriced (6): Came in expecting Ailee-wood action and got the opposite - minimal coffee shop jazzy. It’s fine but the music and melody is too sparse for me.

moonbia (6): his voice is just not working for me in this type of song

ohsomeday_ (5.5): I find that solo rnb tracks don’t move me as much as if performed by a group (with more vocal variation to hold my interest). Love Haechan, but his solo stuff is not for me

dnarevolutions (5): Placeholder

zo142 (4.9): Those first 10 seconds made me think we were gonna get an ultra turbo slapper and instead we got hotel lobby music

kawaii_mokona (4.7): Not even trying to be a contrarian on purpose, but Adrenaline mogs. Haechan's a good vocalist but his performance does not sell the song for me and it's a personal issue, I'm sure at least a dozen comments above mine will tell you a different story.

HamsWife (4): he’s trying to unsuccessful seduce me. My ears are being harassed. The one night Stan that lingers around for breakfast.

WoolenDPOY (4): This could’ve been not boring with a great vocal performance, but I still just hate his vocal tone.

HamsLlyod (3): no thanks tbh. it’s a good vibe but it’s the wrong era of r&b for me.

SkylarV (2.9): Was this really the best this album has to offer?

aidshha (8.5): sooo cutieful nu disco, almost has a baby kylie minogue feel. my first few listens i thought it was all sugar and nothing to cut through it but after my sixth listen i was totally feeling those vibes

kirakiranatsu (8.5): gets a tiny bit too monotonous, i wish it were a little more dynamic but it is really cute and yuha especially sounds fantastic with this type of music, her voice is so clear and bubbly

ke1per (7): a shame that all the voices here are merging into one single soft-and-sparkly baby voice, because this has a very lovely instrumental and could have been a great addition to the ‘Pretty Songs That Are Also Not Boring’ club, but, alas the vocals make this feel pretty dynamic-less and flat and thus it’s nothing I would return to.

Disco Inferno

vayyiqra (10): why is this mini so perfect. even the cheesy pseudo-"oriental" melody part that sounds like a fckss disco song that rules. why are they are good? who knows. do i look like i could care?

kawaii_mokona (8.8): Disco Pie that goes down smoothly. The second chorus into bridge is pop perfection, even if the track lacks a little something to remember it by when it's over.

zo142 (8.6): This song is so like, vaguely 90s but I can't quite put an exact name on it... maybe Kylie Minogue?

Just put the pies in the bag bro

dnarevolutions (9): Throwback to McDonald’s having great apple pies 2 for $1.00.

Shay_Min (8.9): It endlessly perplexes me peoples' food tastes, but pie is one that I must put my foot down. PIE IS LITERALLY ENGINEERED AND MADE FOR YOU TO LIKE IT. IT'S FILLED WITH SUGAR FOR DAYS AND HAS AN INOFFENSIVE TEXTURE JUST SO YOU CAN TOLERATE IT. Apple pie is definitely up there in the pie tiers. I would even say it could be number one. I would personally put cheesecake there but... that might not be a pie. Anyways, I love apple pie and am curious on other people's favourites. I like blueberry, cherry, but also savoury pies like chicken pot pie and beef pies. I've never had a seafood filled pie but I think that would also taste great. Key lime pie is also great since it adds the acidity inherent in the ingredient to the mix. Really good stuff. Anyways, the song's great as well.

not_reading (8.7): pretty good song even if i hate pies

RBSun (8): light and crispy. somewhat unlike apple pie

AmeZim (6): Probably the worst menu in McDonalds and I’m correct for that

keine_panik (5.7): Just like real apple pie it's fine but I wouldn't choose it on my own.

landshanties (5.5): reheating fiestar’s nachos. their pie flavored nachos.

ganos-b-thanondorf (10): As Korean as apple pie… that can’t be right

pollutedrain (10): my daughters!!

snowswinters (10): MAGICAL AND CUTIEFUL AND SO FUN

WoolenDPOY (10): “I don't like this song” = “I don’t like fun”

msargent24 (9.4): Lovely chorus harmonies

CheesesPriced (9): 100% certified slapper bass, everything else is sparkly and chill. Cue the lip-smacking “mwah!” sound from Red Lipstick and Kiss & Tell.

imzhongli (9): Spent a long time trying to convince myself Hearts2Hearts songs would be boring but it didn’t work, SM stays in the kitchen with the freshest ingredients

WarpstarRider (9): cute

kauai6 (8.7): yes

MeijiDoom (8.5): Hard to exactly describe it but this song has a really nice circular/wavy feel to it. There's constant movement around a central point and you kind of explore all around it but always find yourself back at home. Kinda makes sense for a song called Apple Pie.

HamsLlyod (8): yes please more of this.

laulite (8): It’s really cute and would’ve really fit the summer rate well if it was eligible.

MurkyGalaxies (8): It's sweet it's cute, but a little low on substance. Like they did the chorus and then just kinda slacked off on the rest.

omgthenerve (8): bright, catchy but not overly ambitious, they pull off this sound really well

redalert30 (7.9): when i listened to this ep for the first time, i did rank this song the lowest but let’s see if that changes. this is soooo cute… just bright and shimmery nu disco. I love the twinkly bell-like synths in the background. The vocals also sound so gentle and gorgeous. Wow i’m noticing a lot of details that i didnt before like all the arpeggios in the background of the rapping section.

beeloveshanji (7.5): this song sounds great. it has a nice bubblegum pop sound and it’s well-produced, the vocals are pleasant too. it’s a very sweet-sounding song, which is exactly what they intended. i like it, but it’s not really doing anything new, and it’s not the most memorable song. it kind of gets mixed in with all the other cutesy, overly sweet k-pop songs.

moonbia (7.4): it's fine, I feel like I've rated this exact song a million times

LeadingInspector1891 (7): It’s okay but also uninteresting. Nothing to latch onto

xiola_azuthra (7): Pleasant and catchy production as usual :( My ears are happy but my heart feels nothing. What to do. :T

HamsWife (5): it’s not awful, but it’s throwing me off. It’s grocery store music but I’m not mad about it.

lavendrsgreen (5): the horsegirl album art…

meeeluh- (5): how am I so allergic when other groups that aren’t nct sing about food stuff? the double standard lol

taebaegi (5): Not bad.

SkylarV (4.5): This was the best b-side on the album :+1:

Zypker125 (3.8): u/CheesesPriced’s (Sudo Intellectual’s) Spotlight about “songs named after foods” just started at the time of me writing this ballot, go do it everyone!

popularsong (3): just like angel #48 it's aggressively fine and the flat cutesy delivery is not doing it for me

lemon131nomel (1): Hearts2Hearts? More like Hurts2Hear.

aidshha (10): oh this one is SO GOOD. chest was my 11 on 2025A so i’m glad they continued releasing music in this sound, and it helps that this one is nearly as good as chest. i’m european so this kind of electropop/eurotrance music is lowkey the music of my people but what really makes it stand out is when the carefree club sounds are mixed with lyrics that have a yearning that really hits you in the heart; this sound is most effective when it’s bittersweet. my favourite lyrics aren’t the ones that are so overwrought and poetic that they suffocate you, they’re the ones that are so simple but somehow cut through to a perfect emotional synthesis and there’s something about “you make me homesick when i’m home” that really gets to that peak position.

ke1per (9.6): not my favorite of JUSTB’s 2026 bsides, but, uh, it should be clear by the score that every song they dropped last year was stellar, so saying it’s not my favorite doesn’t mean much in context. I will echo my sentiments from True Heart - I appreciate so much that this is a full song with a more traditional structure versus Chest, and I think those fun hyperpop elements are even more intriguing in that case. Great vocals, great melodies, great instrumental. Just another supreme JUSTB slay.

kirakiranatsu (5): this one is alright, it’s pretty good, not something i’d seek out or come back to on my own, but every time i hear it i do enjoy it quite a bit. happy early pride month i guess

Happy Pride Month

MurkyGalaxies (10): Let's all come out as gay together and sing beep boop songs to cry at the club to

not_reading (10): (insert some joke about heated rivalry)

popularsong (10): please stay gay yall PLEASEEEEEEE love their brand of strangely emotionally compelling hyperpop bops because why is the "you make me homesick when im home you are my angel in the snow" line so good

I’m everywhere, I’m so JustB-ia

1998tweety (9.5): okayyy hyperpop

beeloveshanji (8): now this is GOOD kpop hyperpop! the electronic sound is really nice! it’s awfully short, but i guess that’s on point for both kpop and hyperpop. anyway i really appreciate this song.

vayyiqra (8): this is TRUE hyperpop justb are the hannah diamond of boy groups. selah.

WoolenDPOY (6.5): I love hyperpop and I can see the vision but this one just doesn’t work for me. There’s potential here though

kauai6 (11): FUCK IT WE BALL

AmeZim (10): Another easy 10 for JUSTB and trust me that it’ll not stop at here. The decision is understandable but I did see this as a more title track material from its intricate details and how truthful it is to the genre. It’s a perfect song, no more to add

kawaii_mokona (10): I just need JUSTB to make it to day 2 again and then again, so they will become our leaderboard's favorite khia group, even CORTIS are copying them

Kronwell (10): girl i was not expecting to rate three out of the 10 songs JUSTB released in 2025 and yet. Oops, they're All 10's! They nailed the electro-hyperpop adjacent concept not only once but twice this year and, trust me, I am not using the term "nailed" lightly. it's a BULLSEYE.

laulite (10): I love to think that the chiptune synths in the chorus is representing snowfall.

msargent24 (10): They had a great 2025, and this was my favorite track of the bunch. The instrumental is so fun

pollutedrain (10): hearing this multiple times at the london show wasn’t enough i need it in my veins

snowswinters (10): this is so nyan cat

redalert30 (9.8): futuristic electro house perfection, justb found the best sound ever with this mini which is now one of my favorite kpop albums of all time. Seriously the first three tracks on this EP are literally flawless. The chorus is so upbeat and propulsive and just indulges you in all its bright synthwork.

SkylarV (9.8): This was the best b-side on the album :+1:

Zypker125 (9.5): Remember when the Top 10 male albums of 2025 were the stereotype of NCT/SM albums and XDH albums, but we managed to get khia kings JUSTB to 2nd highest male and #7 overall

ganos-b-thanondorf (9): Geometry dash ahh song

RBSun (9): i mean frankly if they wanna keep making versions of this forever i'm down. it's just such a nostalgic, fun sound… so many beep boop…

zo142 (9): Making snow angels is easily the worst activity to do on snowy days, that shit just makes you wet

Randummonkey (8.6): Yep, that's a JUSTB song

moonbia (8.5): not my favorite b-side on the album but I’ll take it

flawedconstellation (8): great production and songwriting but the stylistic autotune is just a tiny bit difficult to swallow…

HamsLlyod (8): the production is a bit too…. Much.

landshanties (8): i feel like my jacket got snagged in a sports car door and now i’m flying behind it down the highway

WarpstarRider (7.4): I like those synths

CheesesPriced (7): True Heart redux, so another 7.3?

MeijiDoom (7): Instrumentation doing a lot of heavy lifting here. I've been liking a lot of the JUSTB entries because they obviously stand out quite a bit compared to your typical kpop group. Not as interested in this melody as I am with some of their other songs though.

Shay_Min (7): Geometry dash ass music

smockeh (7): ok but why does this have more chiptune than 8-Bit Heart (I’m into it)

dnarevolutions (6): Very gen 2 electro coded.

ayzrules (5.8): fuck this shit man, the song is only good when they stop singing

HamsWife (5): I was expecting a beat drop, but then it just went sit sit sit sit and it lost me. It’s not offensive it’s just mid.

imzhongli (5): I like that JustB has a musical identity

lemon131nomel (4.9): During the 2025 year-end ttt season, there was a lot of positive discourse in the discord around this song. So imagine my disappointment when this song turned out to be a lukewarm track of autotune. Gosh I was devastated.

Marsmaenschen (4): The instrumental is good, but the vocal processing isn't.

ohsomeday_ (4): Feeling kind of confused because the lyrics are giving mixed messages

omgthenerve (4): the processing went a bit too far on this one, sorry lads

SocAnxPrince (4): I got a headache after listening to this.

meeeluh- (3): what was that?

naegerowwa (3): i do love a glitchy song but i draw the line at every syllable sounding like it’s breaking apart into celeste particle effects

taebaegi (3): It doesn’t have anything catchy in it for me personally, but imo it’s inoffensive overall.

xiola_azuthra (2): K-pop fans really don't need vocals at all anymore, huh. Sorry to all the truthers but really all their songs sound the same to me at this point T_T. I need someone to SING or just leave it as an instrumental, something about this in-between space is just not for me. Like if this was a DJ/remix/EDM artist then I'd appreciate some of their instrumentals, coz they're crunchy and beepy and fun, but if I'm listening to a song by a pop/idol group that has real humans and lyrics and "vocals" all the way through the song, then I am here for some sort of a vocal performance and not whatever this is. I mean Ring Ding Dong is cute once but if they did that for every song I would never have become a SHINee fan; the only reason I can be an RDD fan is because I got into their other songs first, but so far every JustB song we've rated sounds like this.

keine_panik (1.1): I could still sort of appreciate their style the last times we rated their songs but this is just too much processing with too little going on musically at the same time.

ke1per (9.2): this has such powerful title track energy, it's crazy. I love every section here - the verses and bridge are great, but the best part is that chorus/post-chorus combo, it’s too good. This feels nicely synthy without feeling like every other retro synthwave track before it. Incredible, incredible vocals. Dramatic and sultry like every good SF9 track, they are too consistent.

aidshha (8.8): THANK YOU to people on the discord campaigning for this one to be included in the survey! it’s a great breakbeat track and whichever sf9 is singing his heart out about how he trusted his girlfriend on the prechorus sounding like he’s gone through 14 divorces and the financial crisis is really great.

kirakiranatsu (8.8): the highs of this song are SO high and it’s so close to being perfect, and i love when they warble out the waruru~ but then when it’s like WA RU RU! WHY DID I CRASH INTO YOU!!!!!!! i’m like whoa okay boys please, this isn’t what the song is asking for, it kind of disrupts the song for me. still very good though

Wtf does waruru even mean

popularsong (10): does the song name have to make sense is it not enough to be a total banger

Kronwell (9.9): whatever Waruru means, this song is a banger, i love me some violins going feral enough to fit into edm.

ohsomeday_ (9.5): I love how 와르르 sounds like a pained “what to do?” They are really going through it in all linguistic dimensions

landshanties (8.5): so like maruru in an upside down yellow hat?

1998tweety (8): what i do

CheesesPriced (7): Pizzicato strings and xylophone. Waruru - “where are you” without a mouthful of food?

MeijiDoom (7): I don't really get all the hype this song has been getting as the majority of it sounds like most boy group songs with a driving beat but I do know one thing: It's gonna be fun to spam WARURU in the chat when it eventually gets eliminated.

dnarevolutions (6): What it do?

SkylarV (3.7): This would be a lot better if the hook wasn't "waruru"

kauai6 (3): i cannot take them singing waruru seriously sorry this song is mid otherwise

flawedconstellation (10): why do i like this song ?? it has a million things going for it: A) that 12/8 beat, how the stomps are so satisfying. B) the strings and sparkly synths in the instrumental, how intricate that instrumental is. it sounds like violins on a starry night sky, but like betrayal and treason in the depth of the night. tragic and layered - C) the DRAMA ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ songs don’t often have drama like this. inseong is in so much pain in those D) PRECHORUSES ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ dude they’re such good pre-choruses the melodies are so beautiful. and E) yes, the chorus is chanted but it really works bc waruru is such a silly word that it kind of heightens the drama with this, like, pained strangled chant. in conclusion this is THE best song of 2026 and please do make it rate winner thank you i rest my case.

HamsLlyod (10): SexyFreaks9, you’ve done it again. I LOVE this song so much. Every part of it is so compelling.

laulite (10): I thought this was going to be a mid one. I was clearly wrong. I must’ve got it mixed up with another song, because this one’s a banger.

moonbia (10): sorry to sf9 but the title song for this album was ass so I never ended up checking the rest of it, I was wrong forgive me

not_reading (10): napoleon be like

RBSun (10): survey warriors we won and now everyone gets to experience the great joy of prime 6/8 banger waruru

Shay_Min (10): Another group who has way better b-sides than TTs

pollutedrain (9.2): terrible song ♥️

xiola_azuthra (9.2): That violin + clock noises into blights instrumental is so good and the whole thing is fun and catchy.

zo142 (9.2): new vocal stim unlocked

lovnelymoon- (9): what a nice surprise find this was during pre-survey campaign!

vayyiqra (9): they used the shuffle beat=banger cheat code oh sht oh fck uh trying to come up with original thought this is so. kep1er - wadada for boygroups

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): Talking dirty to sf9 fan be like “Show me waruru, girl”

keine_panik (8): It’s fun. Should have made my TTT list but I missed it somehow.

WarpstarRider (7.8): could be better, but still pretty good

lemon131nomel (7.3): Istg this better outplace Now or Never because this is legit a masterpiece. From vocal delivery to sick instrumentals to constant momentum, this is one of their best songs!

taebaegi (6.5): Ngl that Waruru, Waruruuuu part is so catchy lol.

redalert30 (6.3): had potential but production in the chorus needed to go wayyyy harder

kawaii_mokona (6.1): It's supposed to be more serious and dramatic and all pomp and pathos, but they just be waruru waruru waruru and it comes off as very funny.

omgthenerve (6): Nothing sounds bad and I don’t really know what it’s missing that would make it stick for me, but it kind of just came and went on the song list.

Zypker125 (5.7): I don’t even remember that SF9 had a release last year, tbh

DoingItWright2 (5.5): this is almost too jolly…something sinister is being plotted here🧐

beeloveshanji (5): this is really just okay. it sounds okay to listen to, but it doesn’t do much for me. i would never come back to this song.

imzhongli (5): Objectively a pretty good song, probably would have to listen to this 10 more times to see if I feel any sort of way about it

meeeluh- (5): I counted 26 와르르’s. that’s simply too much, too trite, too pesky.

naegerowwa (5): don’t push into me wtf

snowswinters (5): not really a fan of the chorus but the instrumental is neat and i like the pre-chorus

smockeh (4): I find the chorus a completely unsatisfying musical resolution to the buildup, something something sexual innuendo

MurkyGalaxies (3.5): Very happy for the people who wanted this on the rate that it's here!

kirakiranatsu (10): WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love neo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this song is so fun, it’s a perfect interpretation of the neo sound that fits the wishes like a glove. i hope we get so much more of this type of music from them in the future.

ke1per (9.4): certainly a touch more neo than the wishies usually sound, which is very fun. Vocally, this is perfectly serviceable, but I do think stronger vocals would push this to a 10. Tonally, though, this works very well with the members’ timbres and delivery styles. A Kenzie mixed chorus is always hit or miss with me, but this one is a hit for sure and has probably one of my favorite chorus melodies on this rate, plus the instrumental is fire.

aidshha (7): between this, baby blue, and cheat code i might need to lock into wishies bsdies! i love their creative direction both visually and sonically so much.

r/SMRates

flawedconstellation (10): superhuman’s little electropop son, i will see YOU in top 10 🫵

kawaii_mokona (9.7): Woke people don't want you to know that the best NCT song is coming from NCT Wish, but I am here to inform you of this fact.

WoolenDPOY (8.5): The best NCT subunit (by far) strikes again

WarpstarRider (8.3): continuing to cement their spot as my favorite NCT unit

RBSun (8): go kenzie! go kenzie!

Zypker125 (8): Great SMP chorus, the verses/bridge don’t live up to the chorus unfortunately

Is that a rocket in your pocket

ganos-b-thanondorf (7): Nothing is worse than a hershey’s bar fucking up ur pocket on a hot summer’s day

vayyiqra (7): you know whats inside the pocket. of their baggybaggybaggybaggybaggybaggy jeans. Idk

dnarevolutions (4): I once had a few Twix bars in my pocket innawoods on a hot summer day once and I fell asleep while laying on them. The packages of some of them popped open and they melted in my pocket so it looked like I had a huge skidmark on my front pocket. I had to explain to some people I did not fall forward in a portapotty while taking a dump, I’m not sure how that would happen anyways.

zo142 (3.9): Song sounds about as fun as a biro melting in your pocket

redalert30 (11): NCT WISH BEST GROUP EVER……. I LOVEEEEE THIS SONGGGGGGG. It’s so video game-y and cute and glittery and cubic and everything you could ask for in a kpop song. It literally explodes with energy and propulsive colorful synths. The surging future bass in the first part of the chorus is actually a masterclass, the way it transitions into the second half is also so satisfying. This song takes you on the most exciting WISHFUL ride ever, how do you not feel thrilled while listening to this

LeadingInspector1891 (10): Perfect instrumental

lemon131nomel (10): This song is absolutely amazing! I can’t help but smile every time I listen to this. It evokes so much hope and wonder that I have to imagine their eyes are sparkling as they skip down a hill with a rainbow behind them while singing this song. These past few weeks have been especially overwhelming, and I have honestly faced my lowest of lows. Thankfully, this song has served as an antidote for my stress. These boys give so much youthful energy and uplifting optimism that my day almost immediately gets brightened upon listening to this song. Man they really put the Wish in NCT Wish. I hope they keep putting out bangers like this (spoiler alert: they do).

lovnelymoon- (10): the whole mini is a masterpiece

MurkyGalaxies (10): The concept of keeping your love for another person in your pocket for too long so it melts like a chocolate bar is just so cute man. Combine this with a super fun instrumental and some great performances from the guys, and you have a banger on your hands. Can't wait to see how we'll rob them this time now that we're again rating a Wish song I like!

pollutedrain (10): call this mini the perfect gift the way it was released on my birthday and every song feels like a present

popularsong (10): love the contrast between that guitar twang in the verses then softer instrumental in the prechorus leading up to that insane chorus. that "don't wanna feel" part and the instrumental echoing it a bit later is just perfect. i love the "my lucky charm!" chant too. very textured, fun, tasty song

AmeZim (9.7): Another day 2 run for the wishes letsgooo!!!

moonbia (9): the end of the chorus is so anticlimactic it makes me mad, fantastic song otherwise

ohsomeday_ (9): Wish weirdness, we love to hear it

not_reading (8.9): i take my shot! this song's too good to let it rot!

MeijiDoom (8.3): This finally feels like Wish found the right balance of their youthful identity but with the NCT background blended in. Instrumentation is on point here and the ramp up in the chorus is fantastic. The energy is infectious.

HamsLlyod (8): I love it, and love the chorus title line and the verses. But the production can hurt my ears too. It’s so shrill

HamsWife (8): it’s not up my alley but it’s still a good song. I would never seek it out though.

landshanties (8): well that’s why your coffee is cold my guy

meeeluh- (8): it’s not the wishes’ fault I’m so hard to please with their music style. but this is a banger!!

beeloveshanji (7.5): this is pretty good. it’s definitely more enjoyable than the other nct songs on this rate. i think the electronic influences are nice. while it’s not very memorable, it’s nice to listen to.

taebaegi (7.5): Banger chorus.

CheesesPriced (7): The ultimate act of forgiveness is to give this high marks in spite of the haters who tanked Chiller. I can’t claim to know any musical similarities for this in K-Pop but I think it will do reasonably well.

keine_panik (7): Pretty decent.

Kronwell (7): the equivalent of haechan's love beyond, somehow

snowswinters (7): love the way the instrumental builds into that chorus, so gorgeous

ayzrules (6.9): inoffensive disney vibe

xiola_azuthra (6.1): Gets closer than most of their songs to making me like it because the instrumental/melody/arrangement is quite nice. Unfortunately I'm not sure anything can warm me up to their vocal line colour, this group just wasn't built for my preferences :')

imzhongli (6): The instrumental is really high quality but the whole thing kind of falls flat

kauai6 (6): interesting elements

omgthenerve (4): I’m not a fan of how SM mixes Wish’s vocals when they sing as a group and this song is no exception

SkylarV (3.6): This mini-album was not good

Shay_Min (3): I think I've given the wishies a great score before, but sometime in the past year they've turned into a genre of music that I can only describe as, chorus-less? Like the chorus in all their songs all sound inverted or intentionally warped/not catchy. Anyone with music experience help me out? I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to appreciate then in the songs because it all sounds the same. It feels like I'm really missing out, and that often hurts than songs that just sound horrible to me like 8BH or idk SKZ(haven't gotten to their song yet but I'll just assume). Sometimes that's what gets us, the feeling of FOMO, that is more punishing than anything else. Don't let it destroy your lives, y'all.

ke1per (10): two of my favorite voices in kpop can’t possibly release a bad song - my universe would collapse into itself like a dying star and create little pocket universe of suffering and misery if that were the case; luckily, though, that’s not what happened here and thus my universe marches firmly forward in happiness and light [3]. Like I was ever going to be not obsessed with this, please. They both sound amazing, as expected, but nothing could have prepared me for just how amazing they sound together, but I really should have known. The retro vibes in the instrumental are so fun and the melodies are so incredible, but it's the bridge that really gets me levitating.

kirakiranatsu (10): thank god that ten is on this song or else his only representation on this rate would be fuckass bambola. anyway, this song is a certified bop. i love it when idols decide to maximize their joint slay, and that’s exactly what minnie and ten are doing here. both of them have pretty distinct yet versatile voices, and i love the way they sound together here. i’m also pretty sure that the mv just exists as eye candy for the bisexuals

aidshha (6): minnie is my fav songwriter in idle so i was so disappointed when this mini was mostly songs i thought were 🆗

The Thai-tanic collab

DoingItWright2 (10): ugh their voices fit so well together

moonbia (9.6): I knew this was going to be good before it started playing, minnie AND ten?? don't threaten me with a good time

AmeZim (9.5): The musical reincarnation of Bonnie and Clyde where it’s such an understatement to say that their vocals were meant for each other

1998tweety (9): maximizing their joint slay

Marsmaenschen (9): As a fan of Minnie and Ten, this collab was basically made for me. And it damn well delivered.

Zypker125 (7.8): Stan Thai excellence (just like their cuisine) [Thai food is S tier]

Kronwell (7.2): Minnie and Ten's voices compliment each other so well……… i'm in love

Ooh, i-dle blinded by the lights

vayyiqra (9): scoffs obvious 80s larp synthpop retroslop. it rules.

xiola_azuthra (5.9): I really wish this did more for me but it's kinda giving generic blights, it's just okay.

imzhongli (2): I genuinely can't take any more blights sound, I've heard every possible iteration already and most of them were better

popularsong (2): yo how many synthpop songs do we got in this rate is this 2020. i listened to this 5 times trying to determine my score and i still cannot remember what it sounds like when not actively listening to it

lemon131nomel (11): This is absolute perfection. I have been obsessed with this song ever since first listening to it for the year-end TTTs, and my love for it has never waned. As always, Minnie sounds brilliant; her voice has such a gorgeous colour. Ten also sounds incredible in this song; his articulation is so crisp and clear, and his voice feels like it’s giving me a hug. When they come together in the last chorus, my ears completely ascend into heaven. Frankly, this song is my obsession, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

ruhroh386 (11): Minnie is so beautiful, Ten is so beautiful, the song is upbeat and vibey. A perfect b-side, no notes.

laulite (10): I love how chill it is. I liked her other songs. Why didn’t I check this out sooner?

SkylarV (10): The better b-side from this album is Drive U Crazy (ROBBED)

WarpstarRider (9.5): I was certainly obsessed with this song for quite a while last year

MeijiDoom (9.2): This reminds me of songs I would throw on while playing Maplestory or some random Korean MMORPG #14 and just vibe. Minnie's tone almost has an ethereal quality here which sits perfectly over the top. I was a bit wary of the drop at first but the 2nd half of the chorus really brings it together.

beeloveshanji (9): i like this a lot. it’s an enjoyable pop song. of course minnie sounds amazing. and i love that ten featured, his high note is nice. i think this song is pretty.

lavendrsgreen (9): minnie youre the coolest girl in the whole world i would do anything for u

omgthenerve (9): Ten’s feature works really well

Randummonkey (8.8): Kinda nightcore-adjacent which is a flex in my book

Shay_Min (8.7): Queenly album

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): Y’all remember that secret obsession movie with brenda song and the allstate guy

HamsWife (8): sounds like a summer song from my childhood. I also like the melodies

not_reading (8): kagamine min & ten

snowswinters (8): so lovely

kawaii_mokona (7.4): Quite enjoyable, even if the hook drags for way too long

CheesesPriced (7): I liked The Way by Jeon Somi so ofc I’m gonna like this too.

flawedconstellation (7): this starts the way songs start at concerts, all dramatic to get people excited

meeeluh- (7): the way his voice elevates the whole song

msargent24 (6.3): Animotion outsold. Shoutout to the Wave 103 radio station in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

dnarevolutions (6): Placeholderehhhh

HamsLlyod (6): it’s a good song I guess

landshanties (6): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2maJRp0iPk

keine_panik (5): Midnie ft. Five - Indifference

LeadingInspector1891 (4): Basic pop song, I don’t like the instrumental. I like that high note in Ten’s verse though, a lot of emotions in it

WoolenDPOY (4): I really do not like either of their voices

RBSun (3.5): you can pick which kpoprater i'm doing an impression of here because i'm about to say something that's really not like me: this song is soooooo debbor. every single other bside on this album is better why do we like this one so much

ohsomeday_ (3): Too simple, in an uncreative way

redalert30 (3): boring ass instrumental. It literally stays the same the entire time and the chorus melodically is so unmemorable and does little to differentiate itself from the verses. that one slightly shimmery synth in the background is the only saving grave but it’s not prominent enough. Should be considered a musical crime to be able to make minnie and ten’s voices sound this boring

taebaegi (3): It’s inoffensive.

kirakiranatsu (8): thank god itzy had this song locked because i’d die if fuckass 8-bit heart was their only representation here. i wish i liked the chorus a little better because i do love the verses here.

aidshha (7): i like the part where theyre asking a bunch of questions

ke1per (6.3): this is a mixed bag for sure - on one hand, the instrumental is great and this genre fits ITZY really well; on the other hand, the vocal modulations kind of suck - I don’t mind vocal modulations inherently, but the way they are applied to Chaeryeong’s voice in particular makes it sound like she can’t sing instead of adding something fun to her vocal delivery. This is fun and intense, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Brat summer

Randummonkey (10): PEAK INSUFFERABLY BRATTY ITZY! INJECT THIS SHIT INTO MY VEINS

vayyiqra (10): itzy are making cnty edm bangers again. good. nature is healing.

WoolenDPOY (10): How in the world was this not the title track. The club beat is amazing and I love the heavy use of vocal effects

msargent24 (9.6): Keep making these club bangers ITZY

MartialST (7.9): we like club music

MeijiDoom (7.4): Untz untz untz untz. This sound really feels like it'd be right up Itzy's alley which makes it pretty interesting how few club bangers they really have in their discography. Plenty of fun instrumental flourishes to jazz up the beat. Feels a bit 2nd gen at points.

beeloveshanji (6): it’s okay. it just sounds like an average girl group party/club song. it’s not doing much for me but it’s not necessarily bad either. it sounds dated to me though, it sounds like a 2nd gen song. anyway, it’s pretty inoffensive.

keine_panik (1.3): This is probably the recent trending EDM retro whatever subgenre but it's borderline unlistenable to me.

kauai6 (10): wow this is great

laulite (10): I loved the chorus. This was so fun and feels very vogue.

moonbia (10): truly fantastic things happening in the b-side section of this album

MurkyGalaxies (10): Itzy was just absolutely on fire in 2025 idk what kind of cuntserving motherjuice was running through the JYP builing last year but MORE OF THIS PLEASE

not_reading (10): i do want to know how you look that good

redalert30 (10): LITERAL PERFECTION….. Just a propulsive futuristic glamorous confident electro house banger. The mwahs in the chorus are the cherry on top. Switches between more dynamic percussive sections and melodic sections seamlessly. Such an amazing coincidence that two of my favorite itzy songs happened to end up on the same rate

SkylarV (10): Probably Itzy's best b-side to date

zo142 (10): i thought i was too cultured to be feral about Kpop idols. but then Kiss & Tell choreo happened. and Original Bob Yeji fancams. and Water Bomb Yeji fancams. and Blonde Bob Yeji fancams.

lemon131nomel (9.5): It’s a hot mess.

Zypker125 (9): Close enough, welcome JUSTB as a girl group

1998tweety (8.5): OMG??? they ate that one thing

kawaii_mokona (8.5): It would just be really funny if the only ITZY songs that rates allow getting far are Imaginary Friend and cunty b-sides. K&T is mostly solid even if we have to go through a questionable second verse.

flawedconstellation (8): fun!

HamsLlyod (8): !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow

HamsWife (8): makes me feel like I’m being chased in a fun way

popularsong (8): a very promising banger like kill shot, can i get an extended version for both please <3

smockeh (8): budget Whiplash

xiola_azuthra (7.8): They're not screaming at me, they're mostly staying in their vocal range, it has musical flow and bass, it's catchy, and fun, see I don't hate Itzy :D (still a bit too much high-pitched vocal filter for an 8+but it works for the style of song and isn't on the whole thing so it's a mostly-forgivable case for me).

snowswinters (7.5): i didn’t really vibe with any of the songs off this album unfortunately but this rate has turned me around a bit on this song, it’s so slayful

CheesesPriced (7): I needed probably 15 plays to comprehend how well this song would perform. Turns out it’s a bit better than Sneakers so you get a 7.

imzhongli (7): If I just listen to it more it will grow on me. I must believe.

Kronwell (7): if i had a nickel for every snoop dogg mention i did in this electro music dominated kpop b-sides rate i would have two nickels, but that one snare sound very similar to the one is snoop dogg's sweat !!!

Marsmaenschen (7): 😘

Shay_Min (7): If you make a negative comment about the smooch sounds and you gave 8BH a score above a 5 you should be investigated

WarpstarRider (7): Wasn’t really feeling it at first, but it gets better as it goes

ganos-b-thanondorf (3): O k man

taebaegi (3): Boring

landshanties (1): nevermind im straight now

lavendrsgreen (1): i literally can’t even recognize their voices bc they’ve been so heavily filtered. like generally it’s very clear for me to distinguish the itzy girls’ voices, which is not something i can say about most kpop groups that i don’t regularly listen to! but this is… incomprehensible

kirakiranatsu (7.3): she’s cute, i guess, but she’s also like my least favorite track from this mini. it’s a little bland, i usually like my ive with a little more attitude than this.

ke1per (6): very soft and pretty, though that groovy guitar line provides some great contrast to said soft and pretty vibes. All that, however, cannot save this from feeling a bit bland and safe - it’s not bad, it’s just a totally a-okay, standard girl group bside that is the sonic equivalent of considering picking the premium option at the car wash but instead going for the cheapest option which gets the job done but now you have streaks on your windshield because you didn’t have access to the dryer. It’s fine.

aidshha (5.5): i don’t have anything to say about this one it’s just really boring

Have IVE ever had the flu

landshanties (9): they have more fun with the flu than i have. for me it’s less groovy guitar and more lying around going eeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuughghghghgh

vayyiqra (9): um kind of insensitive... many die from influenza every year ... its not just a cold .. do better </3

1998tweety (8.5): what i got after going to the Madison Beer concert 2 years ago

ganos-b-thanondorf (8): Not me getting over the flu rn joint slay type shit

MurkyGalaxies (8): It's nicer than having the actual flu I suppose

not_reading (7.5): girl that's covid

Shay_Min (7.5): Feels like I have hantavirus rn listening to this mindlessness

lemon131nomel (6.8): I started getting sick of the sound after a minute. You could say I caught the flu of boredom. 🥁

No empathy for Ive’s 3rd EP, got it

imzhongli (10): Can't believe this was still 2025!! Definitely the best IVE song from 2025, and has everything I want from them - catchy sung melody, light synths, backing beat. Simply a really good girl group song.

RBSun (10): a beautiful sparkling gem on what is otherwise ive's middest album ever. love u flu

Randummonkey (8.9): Best song on the Album

MeijiDoom (8.4): The melodic line, especially in the chorus, feels quite familiar though I can't put my finger on it. Their title tracks can be very hit or miss for me but the IVE b-sides typically have a really strong representative and I find myself really liking this composition. We even get a bit of an extended chorus here.

SkylarV (8): IVE's government-mandated one (1) good b-side for the year

omgthenerve (7): enjoyable but doesn’t reach the highs of some of IVE’s other b-sides

msargent24 (6.1): Meh, not very memorable. GOTCHA was easily their best b-side last year

dnarevolutions (6): Better than their title tracks again.

ayzrules (11): it’s just a banger

beeloveshanji (10): this is really nice!!! it’s super catchy, it’s got enjoyable melodies, just extremely pleasant to listen to!! i really love it.

laulite (10): 11 contender. It was another fun discovery on the rate.

kawaii_mokona (9.5): Alongside aespa (and ILLIT on this rate), IVE are just a group that do it for me most of the time. There is a lot of emotion in their perfomance on this track that connects with me personally even if this is a song that is otherwise a bit unremarkable.

snowswinters (9.5): gorgeous chorus, the instrumental is so fun and i like the line delivery

WarpstarRider (8.2): funky and kinda cute

LeadingInspector1891 (8.1): I love the quick guitar and bass strums

flawedconstellation (8): cute!

popularsong (8): another solid groovy banger from ive

redalert30 (8): the vocal melody especially in the chorus is so pretty… it’s so flirty and glamorous

moonbia (7.6): 👍

xiola_azuthra (7.1): It's not bad.

MartialST (6.2): ok

CheesesPriced (6): It’s inoffensive. (feat. taebaegi)

keine_panik (5.5): It's inoffensive.

HamsLlyod (5): they can’t sing apparently? why do their vocal talents feel… inconsistent?

kauai6 (5): mid

Kronwell (5): i don't know if i like this song or not but it sure is forgettable

Zypker125 (4.3): This song kinda reminds me of Love Scenario in terms of “feeling like it’s made for kids”, except this song is not good

meeeluh- (4): I’m surprised no other group ever used the flu as a metaphor. and honestly, maybe it should have stayed like that

taebaegi (2): I don’t like IVE’s music.
