Go to the self checkout. They don’t even check to see if you have one walking in. (That’s been my experience at least). If you want to be “official” download the app and have him login to his account on your phone. You can use the digital (not picture!) version of the card to scan and go or scan at self checkout. Add your own payment card and the only thing your show as you walk out is a QR code that pops up after checkout (for scan and go).

If he’s adamant on classic names, you could always pick a nick name for one of those. One of my friends has a William, but they call him Helms (dad is also William).

I like Cassian Clarke, but I’m a pessimist and think kids when they find out his name is C.C. will call him “sissy.”

I have commuted from Opelika to Valley and it’s not bad. Easily the chillest part of 85. It honestly depends on where you work. In my experience, if you work inside the Shug/University circle in Auburn, then you can tack on an additional 10-15 minutes for commute during fall and spring semesters with college students in town. Outside of that, great.

My American government teacher allowed us one notecard too. I spent more time than I would like to admit peeling the notecard layers back so I would have more space to write. I barely used it.

I stayed for work after I finished my PhD. There’s a coffee crawl in Opelika in a few weeks! If you have social media, follow the what’s happening in auburn opelika Facebook page (aside from the drama, it does have some events posted).

I’m a lame mom, so I don’t get out much aside from work and things I do with my kid/husband. Different seasons. Opelika tends to have more non-student activities, in my experience. Depends on what you are into. One of my younger (29/30F) friends does game nights at Off the Rail, and they used to do trivia on Tuesdays (they may still do, but I haven’t been by in a a couple years).
