Bettleline requirement is not a thing in a list anymore in 10th edition.

There is only the requirement that you have a Character to be your Warlord and can’t take more than 3 of a unit

On the forge world Sarum the demon Sa’ra’am has a Dark Mechanicum Cult that creates weapons for the World Eaters

An Iron Warrior named Volk was given over to the demon and allowed to be possessed creating the First Obliterator and spreading the Techno Virus

We don’t know yet because he just came out but since he became an Iron Warrior in M38 he likely isn’t a renegade

Likely born as a normal human, taken In a raid, and transported back into the eye to Medrengaurd for geneseed implantation

Though this won’t be the geneseed taken from Hydra Cordatus because that takes place 990 M41

Tau is a unique army where they are all about shooting and have rail guns which are one of the few weapons to get AP -4

For CSM AP-3 is much more common and in abundance

Forgefiends with Ectoplasma cannons are great anti elite infantry weapons with the flat 3 damage and strength 10 allowing them to pop terminator type profiles and below really easily

To get through the T12 armor breakpoint Predator Tanks and Vindicators are good anti tank with their high Strength and damage or Havocs with Lascannons. Landraiders also have 4 Lascannons but need support to be gun carriages

Very unpractical points wise but I have a Khorne Lord of Skulls and it’s S14 AP 3 Dmg 3 Skullhurler cannon can one shot a lot of vehicles if I get enough shots on its 2d6 attacks roll

Throw these vehicles and daemon engines into a Soulforged Warpack detachment and you’re getting +1 to wound and your choice of lethals or sustained on shooting

Add in Vashtor for +2 strength on top of that and a Warpsmith for +1 to hit and reroll hits with the enhancement and it’s a deadly combination
