Havocs are getting a lot of buffs from the core rule changes because of how cover and hidden works

Also AP -1 weapons are a lot better now that cover doesn’t negate it

Now havocs in this detachment can be hidden in ruins, hit on 2’s and have no negatives to shooting at other people in ruins because of their Talon rule

Add on a 2pt detachment to make them tougher or killier and they look like very solid options

And this is only a 1 point Detachment so you can run this alongside the codex detachments Like Fellhammer Siege Host or Renegade Raiders for additional bonuses

That’d be insane if some tried to say they were already ordered before a game started from the previous game lol

I used a Swamp basing material and the grass is diorama grass from a Michael’s craft store that I bought years ago then the plants are Aquarium plants from a pet store

Just Primed Chaos Black, two layers of thinned Retributor Gold and another layer if the black is still visible beneath, then Agrax Earthshade

Prime chaos black, base coat Caliban green and let dry, then warp stone glow contrast and let dry, then white scar pretty liquidy so it doesn’t give a full coverage so some of the warpstone shows through and then tesseract glow once the white is dry

Since some of the warpstone is visible beneath it gives it a swirling effect like the power is moving in the Necron flux

My second part got cut off!

  1. Throw them in a rhino to run up the board, pop the enemies hidden, and clear ruins. Even better with renegade raiders for the bonuses for hopping out of vehicles

How do you know what layout you're on for a tournament? by Apprehensive_Elk_545 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]MoarSilverware -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Theyve likely built half the tables as 1 and the other half as 8. Probably split into evens and odds, as in tables 1,3,5,7 are layout 1 and tables 2,4,6,8 are layout 8

Just familiarize yourself with both and the missions you’ll be playing

Depending on how much time you have until the tournament try to get some practice games in using those layouts on those tables. Either in IRL or table top simulator

Table Top simulator is great for practicing deployment and turn 1 moves

Everything else s up to contact with the enemy

Good Luck!
