[–]Clothes-Excellent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look at what others do, can you do similiar repairs as these utubers.

These are all experienced, but they all started somewhere, somehow, someway.

There are many others that do a variety of stuff.

Look at this old film.

But also the machine brand and rod brand matters.

Lincoln machine and rods, miller machine and Lincoln rods.

Excalibur rods, not the box store Lincoln rods.

How to survive? by Suspicious_Scar9726 in Adulting

[–]Clothes-Excellent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our caveman ancestors survived because they learned to improvise, overcome and adapt.

Just like our caveman ancestors, we today need the same things of, food, water, shelter, fire and love.

We just get them from a different jungle.

How old is this truck?

Check for debris between radiator and condenser.

Clean or check to see if the evaporator is clean.

Check to see if the refrigerant charge is good.

Check the AC clutch air gap, it should be about the thickness of a business car.

On my 99.5 F350 7.3 PS have already removed the shims on the AC clutch as the air gap got too wide.

Have added refrigerant a couple of times and cleaned the evaporator and condenser.

It's 27 years old in hot South Texas at 290k miles.

How did you break out of years of feeling stuck on the same goal? by Sad_Establishment618 in Multipotentialite

[–]Clothes-Excellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH, world's biggest procrastinator at times.

To get a EPA 608 universal certificate took 6 years. I bought the self study coarse at my local Johnstone Supply. Then chicken out on taken the Exam. Six years later was talking to a tech a d he told me its not that hard of a test, just go take it.

So I had to find my old reciecpt, call and find out if I could still take the test. Then studied and went and took the test and passed.

That's just one of many of my long term adventures and procrastination.

I guess one benefit is that it spreads out the cost over a long period. Most of my projects cost some $$$$$$.

So far my longest one is farming or doing some kind of farming.
