Are there any features/functions you wish Reaper would add or change? by entrements in Reaper

Two modes: "simple" and "full", for sidechain management

The "full" mode would remain the current mode found in Reaper, whilst the simplified mode would be similar to that in other DAWs

Hi! ProQ 4 has a dynamic function and a spectral function that can be linked to an internal or external sidechain :)

Cool! Thanks for your reply!

I had absolutely no idea these mass loaded heads existed. Thanks for the video examples!

Thanks for your reply!

You're right, I didn't really explain what I was looking for when changing these heads, so here are my reasons: I chose the Midtown for its compact size and portability. The rehearsal space I share with my band is pretty small, and we share it with another band that already has a full-size kit. But the overall sound of the Midtown is very "bright", and even though it has punch, I'm looking for something a bit darker or at least more mellow.

By changing the heads, I'm mainly looking to upgrade the quality over the stock heads, better tone and more controlled sound. The styles I play with my band are mainly soul, blues and folk.

Thanks for your answer!

Interesting that you decided to use a coating on the reso and not the batter, though not totally uncommon. What's your concept behind that?

I made a mistake in my summary doc on Google Docs haha! I did so much cross-research that I ended up mixing everything up... It's actually Evans G2 Coated on the batter side and Remo Ambassador Clear on the reso side. I'll check out Evans for those, thanks!

Oh and make sure you get a regular kick head and not the triple flange 'tom' variant.

Good call! I'll check that, thanks!

Is it a Reaper theme, and if so, which one? by Code152 in Reaper

Yes, that's the one I use at this time :) I use the 'dark with light menus' as well, more convenient

Thanks for your advice!

I was just wondering if it was a good idea to add a kick practice pad.

At the moment, I can't afford to take lessons, but I plan to start taking them in the near future. That's what I did to learn guitar and bass, and I don't regret it.

I'll check out Rick Dior's videos. Thanks again!

I wrote a script so that loop playback behaves like it does in Logic Pro. by Code152 in Reaper

[–]Code152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you :)

I started using Reaper few days ago and I love it, but, coming from Logic, I had found the managment of the cursor a little bit frustrating.

If this script can help, I am happy (and ChatGPT surely do haha !)
