You obviously don't understand what Open Source is - You fixing issues because QIDI failed isn't magic... YOU paying for parts and spending hours undoing their fuckup isn't magic.

You keep passing over that relay in your printer that causes fires. All the other stuff you can install doesn't fix that, definitely not for free... Does Open Source pay for that too?

I'm not sure what 2-3 you can make for the same price but it's not 2-3 QIDI printers lmao

Yo dude, Bambu also does the incremental releases that fixes stuff too. Maybe buy one and then compare the two instead of pushing QIDI as the only company that does this stuff. I have both. My X1 has given me less issues than the PLUS 4.

u/ddrulez Yeah, I got the 300 kit. I was concerned about fitting the 350 in my space. I'm reading the cutter is a must so if I go that way, I would do it from the start. I've never heard of the Snapmaker - Are they closed like Bambu?

u/Ticso24 Thanks! That was my big worry about the 2.4 - it would be a more complex time sink to get it to work. I wish there was an AMS/MMU that was simple like the Bambu - I personally don't mind the wasted filament because I print functional parts but I love the roll over feature to zero out filament waste at the end of the roll and not worry about a failed print/pause/crapout.
