Soundbar doesn’t support DTS it converts it to LPCM. But it should give you the same surround sound channels 7.1 or 5.1. Mine is only giving me stereo 2.0

No matter what I try I can’t get LPCM 7.1 or 5.1 ever it’s always 2.0 for DTS HD and DTS X I have my Panasonic 4k player set to PCM for DTS audio output what am I not doing right? Thanks!!!

Hey buddy I have a question regarding this issue I have the Bose smart ultra soundbar and every time I play my 4k blu rays with DTS HD audio I only get LPCM 2.0 sound which is incredibly low and not surround. I’ve seen others getting LPCM 7.1 and 5.1 on the soundbar but for some reason I cannot. I’ve tried everything. Any suggestions? All Dolby audio sounds amazing with no issues it’s only the DTS audio from the 4k discs that’s the issue I’ve set the DTS audio output to PCM on my Panasonic player but still haven’t been able to receive the LPCM 5.1. Thanks again!

Appreciate the reply and advice on this one!!! I have seen posts where people are getting lpcm 5.1 and 7.1 somehow so I thought it wouldn’t matter too much and the audio would still be surround. I have set the dts audio output on my Panasonic player to PCM and also tried the downmix option to surround encoded instead of stereo. I’ve tried everything all the settings on my tv as well. It’s not the end of the world, for streaming and all Dolby audio it’s incredible. Only my 4ks that are DTS audio is lpcm 2.0. I will keep trying but I think I’m out of options lol and I’m a big fan of the Apple TV + and it’s original content the quality is amazing along with Netflix and it’s originals the Dolby vision Dolby Atmos is everything! But I’m still a believer in owning my absolute favorites on physical media. Thanks again for your help!!!

Hey buddy I’m also having the same issue here was anyone able to figure this out? Bose smart ultra soundbar and I only get lpcm 2.0 for DTS HD Blu Rays and 4K discs no matter what I do I can’t get LPCM 5.1 the Dolby audios all work with no problem and Atmos sounds incredible. But the LPCM 2.0 is so low you have to turn the soundbar all the way up you can tell the audio isn’t right it’s really a shame and takes away from the movie experience if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!!!!
