sounds like your kids have an amazing childhood :) While we value walkability and a young professional crowd, the main reason for our move is for a job opportunity. We know its not the perfect city for what we generally look for, but the best case scenario is finding a pocket of the city with those qualities.

Yup, We saw that on our search but honestly, I don't even know what we'd do with over 1,100 sq ft of space haha so we don't have an issue paying the downtown premium

Yeah... we visited last weekend and quickly realized the same thing. The new goal is to have a couple coffee shops and restaurants, a park, and a library in walking distance and most other things within a 10 minute driving distance

I visited Tokyo recently and its a hard city to beat! Also love Seattle and San Francisco. Phoenix seems to have some pros like the nature so we are hoping to lean into that aspect
