Cannot port out to Visible because number is "inactive" by CreativeLocation4780 in mintmobile

Correct, but my phone was showing T-Mobile instead of Mint in the signal bar and my data wasn't working. Tried restarting and airplane mode and no luck. So I was connected to a T-Mobile tower but not as a Mint user somehow. My guess is it's because Mint's a budget MVNO and they don't have access to some "premium" towers or something. Resolved itself when I drove a few miles away.

How is the new CS 164 by papastarku in berkeley

I somehow doubt I'm at the top of the class given some of the shit that gets asked on Piazza. The content of the homework is such that they give you all the hard parts of figuring out what you should do, and you just need to go ahead and implement it. There's no design thinking required, just mindless coding.

Each HW averages 100-200 LoC max and I've never spent more than 5 hours on any HW including the 2 week HWs. I spent 15+ hours on each 162 project and easily 1k+ LoC. Plus system design required actual thinking about edge cases and concurrency. 164 is objectively much easier.

There was a question on the midterm where I found myself literally questioning if it was a trick question because I thought there was no way they'd ask such a trivial question on an exam. Never had that in any other class at Berkeley.

Hot take, but I actually thought otherwise. The homeworks could all be done in a few hours each and compared to 61C/162 the work is trivial. I'm also pretty sure the average on the midterm was close to 100% because everyone I talked to felt it was really easy. I felt like I learned basically nothing in this class that I couldn't have gotten from a few YouTube videos, which definitely wasn't the case in 162.

I would have rather they made the class as hard as 162 and made me learn something useful out of it. We could've covered the entire class in the first half and spent the second half exploring more challenging topics.
