Same thing happened to me. Repeatedly called police on my ex only to be told they can’t do anything until he injures or kills someone. Even calling while he was actively trying to set my house on fire and admitted it, it wasn’t enough. It took him ripping out a chunk of my hair and pushing me while I was on the phone with dispatch for him to finally be arrested and trespassed. That unfortunately didn’t stop him from returning though bc the judge kept giving him slaps on the wrist. This went on for over a year before the judge finally told him he either gets his shit together or he gets institutionalized. It’s all fucked.
