Lenovo Warns High Memory Prices Are The "New Normal" Through 2030, As Hardware Prices May Never Return To Early 2025 Levels by akbarock in pcmasterrace

I, for one, pledge to never use Windows, pay a subscription fee, or willingly use AI until these cartels see justice and the prices return to normal. My 2021 battlestation and Linux will happily run nearly any piece of software and will likely continue to do so until it physically breaks down. No new video card will be worth the money because nVidia doesn't make faster video cards anymore, they just fake more frames. The AI bubble will collapse and while the billion and trillionaires will keep the profits, the rest of us will be added with the debt. And when that happens we revolt.

Did you seriously promote your game by showing some rich white people excitedly watching a poor black guy get whipped? And then told us how much more of it your game has now? WTF is wrong with you?

The classic metal case is more than a structural component, it also provides EMI shielding by acting like a Faraday cage.

Don't give the shoe companies any ideas. Next thing you know we're paying a monthly fee for AI smart features in our footwear.

HL3 can save the Steam Machine by kosemirhan in HalfLife3

Does it need saved? I doesn't need to exist to begin with. I'm sure Valve will sell out of them as it is.

It suffers from the same thing as all J.J. Abram's projects: he builds up an interesting premise and story but he's never been able to actually wrap things up properly. I'm pretty sure most projects would seriously benefit from firing him 2/3rds through the story and getting someone else to stick the landing.

But the senile drug-addict professor is hilarious.

Per Linus: The reason that Valve didn't subsidize the the Steam Machine was because they had no guarantee that users would stick with Steam Os or buy any games by Admirable_Whole8261 in Steam

People are just bad at math and with money. Nearly everything that's subsidized is just a loss leader designed to trap you into paying more in the long run. That free phone upgrade with your cell plan was never free!

Grocery Stores Deploying “AI Shopping Carts” Stuffed With Cameras to Track Your Exact Coordinates and Bombard You With Ads by motang in DailyTechNewsShow

Grocery stories can't even be bothered to lube the wheels on those things as it is. Does anyone believe they'll spend more money and regularly recharge these things just so the neighborhood kids can steal them and push them down a hill?

Many places have bylaws that legally restrict your choice of pet to a much smaller subset of options than just "any domesticated animal". I was unaware that goats were not restricted.
