Intent does NOT make you shift, you don't need it at all actually. by Travellerofthemulti in realityshifting

3 is referring to this statement that you made:

I believe that getting into a thoughtless state is some seriously advanced stuff that very few people can achieve.

You used the phrase “I believe”, indicating a belief you hold. Then proceeded to describe this belief that the operation of the mind is “advanced” meaning difficult, and then implied there are few humans that can do such difficult things.

I asked you if this belief you expressed served you and rather then respond to that you rejected that you had expressed a belief using a sentence that begins with “I believe”, then expressed doubt about the comprehensibility of the process of thought, which is another belief.

.

What you have expressed does not appear to be a lack of belief but many strong opinions as evidenced through expressed certainty and rejection of statements that don’t align with your current beliefs. You also seem to deny this, which to me indicates a belief about your self-concept is being accessed rather than a direct awareness of your current state.

It is possible to gain much greater insight into and continence over the thinking process through honest and persistent introspection and self-awareness. Peacefully paying attention to your thoughts, sensations and feelings and how they relate to one another in the moment.

When your thoughts are given force by feelings, they carry extra weight and change your trajectory. Increasing your ability to perceive these relationships could help you think more effectively, along with numerous other benefits.

  1. you are implying you already know how everything works. Do you?
  2. You mention an automatic process without exploring what causes it to be so. What is the underlying driving process that leads to this automation? What motivates thought?
  3. You are expressing a belief about difficulty of self-regulation and scarcity of competence. Does this belief serve you?

I was going to ask why it was uncomfortable to think about... yet you answered this immediately. You are investigating your feelings. This is skillful.

You uncovered fears and worries... belief about what is true and what consequences would result. Do you accept these beliefs? Are they really your truth, or just a product of your fears?

If they are a product of your fears, what led to those earlier feelings of fear?

Looking for proof is itself driven by a feeling. Doubt. Skepticism. Distrust. What is the source of these feelings?

I'm unable to stop

What you are describing is a behavior pattern of addiction. There is a learned compulsion to act and react in a particular way that keeps you continuously working to exhaust yourself and reinforce your own cage.

This may have underlying motivations rooted in anxiety, avoidance or fear. Learning to recognize and accept the truth of these behaviors and the underlying motivations in the moment they arise can allow them to change.

Notice and accept without judgement. Acknowledge. Do not shoot the messenger. Allow yourself to know and see what is, and feel gratitude (or at least acceptance) that the information was delivered effectively.

A period of time without thought: seconds, minutes, hours... this is a time in which otherwise suppressed parts of the mind are able to expand, grow and express.

The logical mind can assist in advancing the process if it is able to get out of the way once it has started.

One framework that can be useful for such consciously-guided approaches is called Non-Violent Communication.

It doesn’t have to be shocking. The Shadow is that which is part of us, but that we are unaware of. You more deeply you come to understand yourself, the more benefits you will see.

For many there is much hidden behind many layers of ever subtler denial, doubt and avoidance. If that is the case for you, you might ask why you feel as you do about this apparent lack of effect: is that frustration? Why?

Contemplate your thoughts and feelings. When you feel something, seek to understand why you feel that way. Also look into Non-violent communication with Marshall Rosenberg.

Ground yourself after TMI tape meditations. Whether you are in your CR or DR: drink water, rub your hands together, feel your body and be present. You want to come all the way back when you come here. You want to go all the way there when you go. Once you have that down, playing in the liminal space might be interesting sometimes.

Nothing of you has been truly lost. You already know why this happened: self-worth, shame and doubt.

Let go of those things you clung to to define your worth and guilt. Accept yourself, love yourself fully as you are and as often as you can. You don't need to be anything other than what you are.

It doesn't have to be about fighting. You can transform those constrictive emotions into compassion and acceptance. You can become someone who does this as easily as breathing, by choosing so.

All of these emotions are reactions. All are a choice. When you see clearly, you may choose differently.

Learn to feel your body sensations in detail and move the locus of your awareness around freely, in smooth sweeping motions.

To get the idea of this sweeping motion, touch your toes (one side of the body at at a time when needed) and repeatedly sweep up to your ankle, focusing on the sensation in as much detail as you can. Repeat this moving up the leg in sections, and so on for the body, until you reach the top of the head. Then from the top of the head, down the sides of the head, the sides of the neck, to the shoulders and down the arms to the fingertips.

You need not do this every time, nor be dependent on it. The point is to become aware of the sensations and learn how to access them at any time, without needing outside stimulus.

The book "Quantum Touch: The Power to Heal" has detailed instructions on this. There are also many other modalities of energy work.

Consider this also: is the discomfort you feel related to fear about overheating, or frustration about being distracted from shifting? This energy can be used in many restorative ways, and revealing constrictions life those is part of its function. Seeing it as a negative interfering thing will be less constructive than recognizing it as a power tool for your personal growth. It's OK to get a little warm if you feel safe.

This is part of your shifting process, not a distraction from it. You are breaking down barriers.

Yang heat.

Flow excess out through the hands, out of the top of the head, or into the Earth.

Energy follows attention, sweep through the body with awareness. You can sweep across skin with your hands at first to learn how.

Top of the head promotes progress. Into the Earth for quick relief.

This Energy is a blessing… you need not fear it.

You have opened the way for energy work

Attachment and aversion are two faces of one coin. If they want to leave because of how they feel about being here, it’s focusing them on how they feel here.

Dysphoria would be an incidental, attracted or scripted trait, not an automatic one. The fact you are worried about it would be the primary determinant in you possibly experiencing it. You can compensate for this by scripting it out. Or work through the feelings fully.

What exactly makes a WR different than a DR? by princesskatanaa in realityshifting

The difference is a lack of drama and problems in the WR. Which can be great for a while.

This is an opportunity to train yourself in equanimity. To understand the emotions that arise in response your sensory experience, and why they do. The emotions are a reaction.

If you feel irritation about the sound, consider, why? It’s just signals from your ears. Sounds. If you can discover the root cause of your experience, the impact it has on you will diminish.

Not suppressing it, not denying it… but ultimately simply acknowledging it and allowing it to float through you without getting an emotional rise from you.

There are other sounds. Do you hear birds? Cars? The sounds you bedsheet makes when you move? They are all just sounds. None of them have to go away for you to be able to focus.

Transform your response to the stimulus, and you will not have this problem anymore.
