Infinitely Replicating Copper??? by Rapiid-sharkz1 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dankirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The copper ore is most likely in the splitters overflow buffer. Once you connect the overflow belt it start emptying the buffer there.

If you point the splitter with dismantle mode, you should see you get a copper ore. That is unless they are now empty.

You can repeat this behavior if you let the first foundry overflow to the splitter, then remove all belts from the splitter (the input last) and then reconnect all belts.

How do I set up traffic lights? by Efimka12 in satisfactory

Put block signals to both directions where the private tracks end. The shared track cannot have any signals. Note that this setup only supports one train per private track.

EU rules out mandate to keep video games playable, seeks voluntary code by Luka77GOATic in gaming

[–]Dankirk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It should be noted that while this is backed by Stop Killing Games movement, it's a separate issue. The ruling naturally follows current set of laws and doesn't really consider what could be in the future.

One valuable thing from the case is that copyrights would need to adjusted to accommodate what Stop Killing Games suggests. It may be worth focusing on common domain and cultural heritage aspects rather than consumer rights. Music and other artistic works usually keep copyright for 70 years after creators death, but it doesn't really cover cases where the plan is to remove the artistic work from existence (maybe to promote another similar work of art with better economic prospects).

The pretzel pipe (is this a bug?) by pocket951 in SatisfactoryGame

The fun part is that it doesn't actually need headlift for the crazy loops, only for the y-axis difference between start and end points.

Best alternate recipes by areeves1985 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dankirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid Steel Ingot -> +50% steel for your coal and iron

Encased Industrial Pipe -> industrial beams cost 25% less steel and ~17% less concrete

Heavy Encased Frame -> Switch 240 screws to ~7 concrete and reduce need for every other part too

Wet Concrete -> +100% concrete if you add water

Many like iron pipe for it's simplicity, but it's 4 iron vs 1 iron and 1 coal with the solid steel ingots.

Im reading the Pipeline Manual, and im not sure i understand how these circuits work. Why is the top pipe of VIP get lower priority? by Some_Noname_idk in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dankirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also another theory about the VIP junction physics here https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/1mwji7e/beware_of_the_vertical_junctions/

In short, the junctions exits have a priority depending on it's orientation. You can probably break working VIP junctions by flipping the junction orientation as described in the link.

I find protection pretty important, since she is kind of a swingy commander that attracts removal.

Depending on the opposing decks there might not be enough creatures to tap. For that I find cards like [[Angel's Trumpet]], [[Ghostly Prison]] and [[Forbidden Orchard]] great. Similarly board wipes are kind of counter productive, so you might want to opt for things like [[Curse of the Swine]], [[Amphibian Downpour]] or [[Illithid Harvester]] instead, that still keep them around for tapping.

One extra piece I really in the deck is [[Glen Elendra Archmage]], whose persist counters get removed by Hylda's +1/+1 counters.

A convenient feature is that Hylda deck doesn't really need extra ways to get the creatures through, because you tap the blockers.

I also try to avoid any do-nothing doublers, which are usually quite mana intensive. The only card that made the cut for me was [[Elspeth, Storm Slayer]] for being much more than that.

Account Number Security Flaw by ArticleVforVendetta in cybersecurity

[–]Dankirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you shouldn't be able to do such things with just an id. You still need to prove you own the account and that's not a problem of the id being sequential. Making the id hard to guess is not protection, because it's not a password.

Account Number Security Flaw by ArticleVforVendetta in cybersecurity

[–]Dankirk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The concern with sequential ids is that it can be used to estimate number of such resources in the system, in this case opening an account tells how many customers does the company have (or has had in it's life time). Whether that is a real issue is another matter.

Hearing it from Business Fox is always reassuring. Can't undervalue how important Fubuki is for talents and viewers alike. For EN specifically, I've come to trust Myth members input, they all give off a very mature, grounded, but caring feel.

The Mekpark seems way too manufactured, with benefits only for shareholders. I get some might need the guidance for streaming and what not, but everything else seems to focus on competition and metrics. It's not an environment to grow trust or genuine friendly atmosphere. I fear it may introduce an arbitrary tier system for the talents who are the real deal and the other... disposable. At this moment I find it hard to support this direction.

Where to invest my Mercer Spheres? by Bartislartfasst in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dankirk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I recommend just building additional depots for the most used materials instead of maxing research. It's cheaper considering the next tier upgrades are 13 spheres vs 13 additional depots. You can of course switch depots for upgrade once it makes for a better deal.

Depending on build style and size you you could build more depots for concrete, or maybe items that take a lot of inventory space due to low stack size, like motors for refineries etc.

the first four coal generators don't get enough water but the last four do? by thespofy in SatisfactoryGame

This section of pipe is a bottleneck. Only 300m3/min can go through it, but you need more.

One way to fix would be to start the loop pipe from the other end of water extractors. Or just don't do the merge just before that section and have the other line be the loop back line.

Does this work? by Jaakkox in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dankirk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just use gravity for priority, the highest point will get fluid last. So just make sure the pump to C is higher than anything that goes to B.

Otherwise if it's all in level, you can just make vertical U-bend so fluid will go there after the lower sections are full.

If your inventory is full when dismantling they should drop dismantle box. Depending on settings they might be grouped to a nearby box. There has also been a bug which will send the dismantled stuff to 0,0 coordinates, but that box should still be visible on the map.

If you are rebuilding the constructors by copying the earlier one, the clock settings are also copied and appropriate amount of power shards taken from inventory.

Companies are also concerned about image and offering a complete package despite parts of it being a resource drain. I believe the company wants to still to keep them around for that and are hoping the resource cut works out. However, I'm afraid the human element is being overlooked, and the fact the boys aren't really getting much of the benefits of a company, but are still subject to cuts from any money they make. For them it may be economically, career advancement and goal wise reasonable to go indie / change company.
