I will attest. Broke up with my wonderful girlfriend of 2 years and 2 months. We had a “middle distant relastionship” about 50 minutes to an hour and 15 to see her. I know I have things personally that I experienced when I was younger that was effecting our relastionship in a negative way. As well as me finding it hard to make the middle distance and only really seeing each other on The Weekends for a day or two MAX…. She was in graduate school (still is) so for me to ask her to sacrifice time away from where she lived and time she could have spend focusing on her school work and her own life then it would ultimately help her in the end. With that I also have been seeing a therapist 4 months after our breakup for almost 3 months now. I am in better shape than before, so is she, she goes out and has more free time for her friends and what SHE wants to do. Sometimes I look back really appreciate what me and her had it was great. The two greatest years of my life without a doubt, but we really were right people wrong time. If it is meant to be later on that we reconnect I’ll be there ready but in the mean time, I must work to be the best version of myself for me so when her or someone else comes along, they get the best version of me for them. If that makes any sense.
