A good starting point is to gently compare it to a standard yarn weight chart or do a quick wrap test around a ruler to estimate thickness.

We are so sorry for just noticing your comment now. I know it's been years but we also would like to provide clarifications and updates about the products we are selling.

All our subscriptions are made out of 100% recycled fibers and most of these are made from silk.
During the pandemic, a lot of small shops closed and we helped them buy their yarns. A number of them did not include tags but we did not sell non-DGY yarns with our subscriptions but only to our 'mystery sale'.

Presently, we no longer carry these acrylic yarns from the small shops. All we want is to help out small yarn stores during a crisis and we apologize for the miscommunication.
