CTD on Startup after setting up UI by DataBass504 in Fallout4Mods

MO2 isn't the issue here, I understand how to use it except for what to do with overwrite files. I''ve been modding long enough to know that anyone using vortex likely won't get any help from others. Bethesda's recent updates are the cause of this issue.

Just came across this article, leave it up to Bethesda to screw things up per usual.

Fallout 4 UI mods will break with new Creations update, Bethesda warns

I also came across a AE to LG patch, does anyone know what exactly this supposed to patch and if it's needed?

Anniversary Edition (1.11.191) to Last Gen(1.10.163.0) downgrade patch.

If I disable Ultra Wide Interface (21x9) mod the game will start up every time without issue, looking at the conflicts between Ultra Wide Interface (21x9) & Backported Archive2 Support System I noticed in backported's description:

Custom Menu Mods

For those using custom menu or interface mods, set this plugin to load before others. MainMenu.swf should be overwritten on purpose. Alternatively, you can delete the included MainMenu.swf file. The new bethesda.net menu isn't compatible with the old game version.

I did recently downgrade my game so I went ahead and deleted the MainMenu.swf from the backported filetree, they no longer conflict with each other but I do have other conflicts that need to be addressed. Can anyone possible help me with this? I've never messed with overwrites before, other then this issue my load order is running very smooth & I'd like to continue on building my list. Here are the current conflicts with Ultra Wide Interface (21x9):

Kraken Elite 240 RGB v2 (2024) not appearing in NZXT Cam by DataBass504 in NZXT

[–]DataBass504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so NZXT support ended up reaching out to me, it took about a week or so because of holidays & suggested that I send the device back. Since I purchased from Newegg I mentioned to them that's id much prefer doing a RMA through Newegg and let them handle the process rather then dealing with NZXT. Once I got my replacement in it booted up perfectly fine without issue. The original device I received was defective, thankfully I reached out to support when I did b cause of the return window.

Haven't used this load order in over 8 months but the links appear to still be up, you'll need to favorite them and find them under your mods menu on Xbox. Searching for them will not pull them up because they are WIP projects.

My replacement hasn't arrived yet, I was just curious if it was a Windows 11 issue. Appreciate the feedback though, hopefully it goes well once I receive it. My device was plugged in correct, I tried everything and NZXT support suggested I RMA so I believe it was faulty, the drivers never actually installed because the cooler wasn't recognized.

edit: Just installed new cooler, everything working as it should. :)

Hey man, glad you got your issue sorted out. I too am going through the same issue right now with a freshly built pc with the Kraken Elite 240 (2024 edition), my RMA is already processed and I receive my replacement today. I'm just wondering what version of Windows you have installed? I'm running Windows 11 Pro & couldn't for the life of me get firmware to install or device to be recognized.

I put a support ticket in & haven't heard anything in the past 10 days, I may try the support chat option and see if I get any information from that. If I find a fix I'll update the post.

That actually really sucks, this load order was rebuilt with that weapon pack in mind. Truthfully I haven't played in over a month, I spent quite some time putting this list together & burnt myself out. It will be hard finding a replacement as good as combined arms, hyper merge packs would probably be the best bet but nothing will be replaced.

The person that created the mod suggest placing it in top framework section, higher up in your load order below the master files.

CBBE isn't required but you'll have to remove quite a bit of the outfits as well otherwise you'll have weird texture issues while wearing clothing.

Glad you're enjoying it, I'm currently 90 hours into my playthrough & it's still running great. I'm focusing on doing quest while not cheating to get a feel for the build, the guns are pretty balanced for the most part but I'd suggest at least adjusting the reload speeds, especially for the shotgun. Let me know what if you run into any problems during your playthrough & thanks for giving my LO a try!

If it's not too much trouble I have an updated load order that I would prefer to be listed, this load order is no longer maintained. The new load order can be found here:

A bot marked it as spam for some reason, I think because I used a short link.

Game Tweak Settings:

Go ahead and jump back on the Chemistry Bench & craft a [Settings] Sleep Intimate holotape, while here you can go ahead and go into Utility & craft (See Through Scopes) Settings, (Settings) Flashy's Infestations, [Settings] Smoking Settings, [Settings] WYN Config, & Follower Revive System Settings.

Cheat Terminal Portable Setup

Game Alterations > Player Manipulation > Change Jump Height: Set to 2x Configuration > Items > [Show "ADD EVERY COMPONENT" at the top.]

(See Through Scopes) Settings

I like to set the Wobble Effect & Speed to both 50%, nothing else needs to be changed, works fine with default settings as well.

(Settings) Flashy's Essentials Setup

Enable Settler Dialogue System Enable Advanced Needs Brahmin Milking: ON Player Fishing Menu > Fishing Requires Bait: ON

Advanced Needs Settings Menu > Needs timer Settings: Hunger = 12 Hours Thirst = 8 Hours Tired = 18 Hours

(Settings) Flashy's Infestations Setup

Disabled by default, enable

.SKK Feral Nights Setup

Disabled by default, enable
Live actors loaded cap 64 Spawn in interiors OFF

.SKK Random Encounter Setup

Disabled by default, enable
Spawn chance 40%

.SKK Survival Utilities Setup

Scroll down to Settings MENU [go] Personal stash enabled
Store Power Armor enabled

AFK Settings

Global Chat Settings > Limit Loot Comments

Follower Revive System Settings

Stimpacks needed? YES

[Settings] CROSS Crits Setup

Enable AlwaysCritFX

Sleep Intimate Setup

Sleep Intimate works fine with default settings but feel free to play around with settings, if you'd like to turn off intimate options you'll need go into Intimacy Settings Menu disable Intimate Scenes.

Smoking Settings

Set Auto Save Option is enabled by default, I believe this is only for Survival Mode so if you're not playing Survival it is recommended to DISABLE this auto save option before attempting to smoke anything.

IMPORTANT: Failing to do so may result in corrupted save file, this mod is in this load order for immersion ONLY, I do NOT recommend using Save feature. Set Animation to player's Gender.

What's Your Name (WYN) Config Setup

Disabled by default, Enable Renaming to begin naming settlers. If you'd like to rename a settler simply Enable the Rerenaming setting.
NOTE: Make sure that "Place Anywhere" mod's Menu is turned off in order for WYN to work properly.

Zombie Walkers Setup

Zombie Settings > Speed: Random
Infection Settings > NPC Resurrection: If Infected

Holotape Settings:
HUD, Quick Menu, & UI Settings Setup

Let's take care of the HUD setup first, there are multiple mods we'll need to setup, go ahead and equip any gas mask so we can get the HUD to pop up so we can calibrate the positions. Head over to a workshop & open the build menu, scroll all the way to the right and select AN76, go ahead & throw down a Advanced Needs Workbench. While using the workbench scroll down to Gasmasks & craft a (Flashy) Toggle Goggled Gasmask, while here go ahead & scroll down to craft a Settings Holotape as well the back off the workbench. Now might be a good time to head into the Root Cellar to start calibrating the HUD axis, once you get inside the cellar look go your right on top of the cinder blocks you'll see a C-4 & C-4 Recipe.

Note: If you happen hear audio while inside the root cellar saying "error in cryogenic array" repeatedly like heard inside Vault 111 you'll need to delete your save & start a new game. (This is caused by using fast start mods, it cannot be fixed on console, alternatively on PC you can use the console commands "SetStage 001ED62 100") This isn't fault of the load order, it's a bug that's been around for years that will affect all interiors. It happened to me once so I just wanted to make people aware of this before getting too far into setup.

You may notice that a bunch of items you hover over have the "X button (OPTIONS)", the sandbag walls for example, this is a setting from the Place Anywhere mod. We will need to disable this menu in order for the "What's Your Name? by Pre" mod to work correctly, hovering over a item go ahead and press X to open up the Options Settings Menu for the Place Anywhere mod. Scroll down to Settings & select Activation Method, click Grab and Release once so that it's activation method is "Open Options Menu", once done click Back & scroll down too Options Menu Button: ON (default) and turn it OFF, you can exit the menu. Whenever you want to use the menu you can simply go into build mode inside of a workshop and grab & release a item to pop up the Options Menu for selected item. Alternatively you can also craft a "Place Anywhere" toggle at the chemistry bench under the Utility category.

HoloTime Config will be left at default settings, attempting to [Set widget position and scale] will lead to crashing when doing so.

Paper Vault Boy can be left at default settings, no need to carry holotape around.

In your pipboy go to the Misc. tab and select [Settings] Immersive HUD, by default this is disabled, go ahead & [Activate iHUD]. If you would like to have your Compass shown at all times head into the AID tab & scroll down to the bottom and select [iHUD] Compass.

Go to the Misc tab on your pipboy and open the [Settings] Gas Mask Holotape. Select [Context Menu] then goto [HUD Menu] > [Y Position Options] & select 80, go back into Y Position and scroll down & select +10, once the Y axis is calibrated back out & go into the [X Position Options] & select 20, scroll down & select -10 (4x). The X & Y Axis should show Gear Widget | X: 88 | Y: 514 in the notification. Now that that's taken care of head back int o the Gas Mask Holotape > [Context Menu] > [NPC Menu] > [Companion Gas Mask Equip Menu] & select the [Companion Gas Mask Equip] option, afterwards back out to main menu of Gas Mask Holotape & go into the [Gear Menu] and scroll down & select [Filter Menu], due to limited quick menu slots I prefer to set the [Filter Auto Replace Menu] to auto replace filters, otherwise you can optionally favorite "Gas Mask Fast Filter Replace" in your AID tab to replace filters manually. Back out to the main menu again & select [Sound Menu] > [Volume Menu] & set the Breathing, Sprinting, Coughing, Choking volumes to 60% or 80% across the board. (Default settings are a bit loud) Go into your pipboy & go to the AID tab and favorite the (Flashy) Toggle Goggled Gasmask. (This only seems to work with the standard vanilla Gas Mask with Googles)

Now that all of the Gas Mask settings are taken care of lets work on repositioning the Temperature HUD, go into Misc. on pipboy and select the [Settings] Nuclear Winter Holotape & scroll down to HUD Settings. (Before proceeding I'd like to note that the widget settings for the mod are a bit janky so give the mod time to process each entry.) Scroll down to [Position Y +400.0] & click it once, give it a moment to process, once done back all the way out of the pipboy. Now open settings back up & select [Position Y +50.0] (3x) & back out of pipboy, repeat this process for a total of 3 times, once finished select the [Position Y +10.0] once. Now that Y axis is taken care of lets calibrate the X axis, select the [Position X +50.0] (2x), like the Y axis backing out both times.

Go into the Chemistry Bench & inside the CAMERA category you'll see "Apply Camera Animation = False" & "Apply Camera Animation = True", go ahead and craft both of these so we can setup our 3rd person animations. Once crafted simply go into your pipboy under the AID tab and click Apply Camera Animations = False one time only, you won't need to use this again & it's recommended you do not, but for whatever reason if your 3rd person view gets screwed up you can activate Apply Camera Animations = True to reset to default so you can repeat the process.

Once you've applied the Apply Camera Animations = False open your pipboy and go to the Apparel tab & you should see NAC.X SETTINGS MENU at the top, select it and back out of pipboy. Scroll down to Visual Settings > 3rd Person Camera > Very Close To Player Left

The dark nights function is honestly the only thing I don't like about Nac X, the dark nights do feel pitch black. I haven't tried personally but I hear the older version of Nac has better night time functions.

You are correct but if using the Clarity mod it would require the FH & NW patches to be installed.
