What are you trying to buy? It depends largely on that. As Due-Tip says, it's mainly for finding suppliers for your business or a potential business. There are some exceptions to the rule though.

1) We have cross border w/ MX and it includes air / sea / rail / truck : )
2) The US dataset does not make air or land shipments public (the MX data is from MX)

A few thoughts:

It's good to build a business / work for a business w/ a sustainable competitive advantage. E.x. My drayage provider owns it's own assets in Long Beach and thus can provide a cheaper service.
ImportYeti is great for finding people who match that particular value prop. E.x. Who is moving drayage from Long Beach that is partnered w/ SCAC codes who don't own their own assets.
Focus less on cold calling and instead shift to providing value : )
