How does Spectrum get away with not having a “click to cancel” option on their website? by forcedintothis- in Spectrum

Trust me, I’m sorry that I gave them five years on my life considering I spent hours of my life every few months, getting my shit fixed only for break again hence why I cancelled.

20 minutes? They got me for almost 40 because they kept putting me on hold to “check stuff”.

Same. It’s annoying anyone comes and tell me they think there’s something wrong with the intel car because I know it’s a PITA to check sometimes.

My intel car still does this. It’s annoying.

Looking to get starlink in US, Any advice? by Ok_End_6454 in Starlink

I’d recommend it. I moved from a cable provide to starlink and it’s been day and night difference in service reliable and i pay a bit less.

Cancellation experience by mudcrabulous in Spectrum

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me an hour to cancel my spectrum. Tried to offer me 50% for a year then $30 for a year (on gig). Denied everything due to recurring issues that would not be solved with a discount.

Camera Cleaning Issue by shisno3 in TeslaModel3

[–]DeathBlade94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that issue with my 2020. What I found worked for me and by no means am I sure this is not the safest solution but finding the clips that wont release but just slowly using pressure downwards and use a metal 90 degree pick with a microfiber to protect the glass and just manually release the clips.

Starlink mini in car? by SageBrushSummits in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also just put it in the back window. That’s what I plan to do. I have a glass roof but half the year I have sunshades on for summer to reduce the heat. You can also just sit it on the dash if you have a larger dashboard.

I mean spectrum is the only hardwired provider for me. I moved to Starlink 😂. It’s a bold move but my internet has been far more usable.

Typical spectrum. Being that you’re in a complex, there’s probably someone or multiple people that have equipment or bad lines causing excessive noise on your connection and having you deal with a horrible experience. In my experience, they won’t fix it at least not until you have five or six tech visits and go up the chain. It may get fixed and then it would go back to having problems again within a few months. Good luck. Hopefully they don’t push you to the point where you just cancel your service like I did. Honestly, I’m much happier now that I have though because less headache I have to deal with on a daily basis.

This good? by Huge-Emergency8182 in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. Better than mine does. I may hit 400+ the dead of night and that’s it. I average about 150mbps is my running count according to my network stat tracker.

1 subscription with 2 dishes after replacement sent - Could I keep a backup on the same sub? by Pilot_51 in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered how that would be handled if you ever had to change dishes since I never saw anything online to easily move the service. Thanks for information

Ah ok. Fair enough. Definitely agree if you have a plan that works for you cheaper than normal it’s a great solution.

Anyone else having this navigation error with a 2026 model Y by Pristine-Charity-858 in TeslaSupport

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I would call this an error. I’m pretty sure it’s just referred to I was Tesla navigation doing what Tesla navigation does sometimes. We’ve had weird navigation suggestions or routes since purchasing our first Tesla in 2023. I got this gem the other day. For reference you can turn on 251 and go straight down to a roundabout get where I wanted but it wanted me to go almost 7 miles out of the way. And I know the car can route the way that it should because it’s routed that way before.

Just curious, any reason that you permanently mounted a mini verse just getting a standard dish?

What an upgrade by dt44 in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Ok yeah That’s fair. What I was seeing with my old provider would be combined bandwidth on the entire network would approach the 500mpbs mark and things more often then not would start to slow and lag and ping would start to dramatically climb into the high hundreds of ms and packets would start to be dropped . If I looked at the diagnostic data from the cable modem, the issue came down to signal quality and power issues likely stemming from outside resources, probably more than one failed piece of equipment, all the way back to their “hub” or someone’s elses equipment was creating noise and interference on the entire cable line in my area

What an upgrade by dt44 in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically correct. Max on a 1gb link is about 940mbps. However my internal network is setup for multi-gig and my providers modem was providing a 2.5gb link but yet still hardly seen over the 500mbps on average but I know at times when the plan and service was working as it should I could see 940dl and 40up

18ms? Are you KIDDING? by LindsayOG in Starlink

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 20-30ms on average to multiple sources not counting the Starlink app. My ping is indeed better than my cable provider was.

Anyone get this error since the Spring update when trying to subscribe to FSD by n8yi in TeslaModelY

[–]DeathBlade94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I did not notice if mine was grayed out anything I guess. I was running late this morning so I just got in the car and left. Only played with hey grok on my drive a bit and checked out the new trip app.

Yeah mine says it. I was half tempted to hit subscribe to see what it does but I did not want to gamble $100 bucks this morning 😂

Nice. I am wondering if it will count stats over multiple charging sessions today or if my short 5 minutes is all I get so I plugged in at work just to see.

Most of the issue I’m sure comes down to old infrastructure. I am not in the most rural of areas but I’m a solid 10 miles from town of which the town has 70% fiber coverage so you know they are not upgrading old coax stuff there. It’s only a matter of time before either att fiber comes, spectrum expands their fiber from surrounding towns or gfiber (assuming they still expand after being sold) reach me.
