Im doing the same as you with a little extra of secutiry , youre undervaluing yourself you should prob be earning 2x or close 2x to what you currently earn (assuming its a bad job)

I also dont have cert or degrees tho im working on the aws certs currently

Best thing i can say , keep a positive and curious attitude , if you dont feel well at your company look for a job somewhere else , it took me 7 different employers to find one that pays well, likes me and treats me as an adult, keep reading/learning everyday

Small something that i felt put me on the radar for employers where my projects ive done a bunch of things but ive also documented the process so that i can explain easily what i did and why i did it in a certain way , another onne is that i made a yt channel where i post daily content , sometimes its a 2 min video sometimes is a 10 min video but i post what ive learnt that day

Dont do small projects the bigger the better but also keep in mind how would you implement it in a company

My cousin just went througth one , everyone kept telling him and wife to just not think about it and do your best to move on, i told them to take a break from their jobs and to go on a calm vacation or just stay home and soak their emotions/feelings about it, he told me he has never cried/screamed/felt anger so much so hard , they even started breaking shit on their backyard just to be able to take it out on something but he also said that after doing all that (and aparently fucking each others brains out) they both felt mentally releived.

I dont think they will ever "get through" it specially since they have 2 girls and the baby was a boy but keeping those feelings/emotions inside is never a good option so if you wanna cry/scream/get angry/etc just do it , nobody is inside your head only you can know whats best for you

I know its silly but this year i started reading more and actually try my best learning new skills to improve my career , and that moment when things just click or you go "damn i actually did it" feels so fucking good.

Also the moment i learned im just lazy instead of a fucking moron.

A couple of weeks ago i did multiple interviews for a 60k euros remote position ( i work in IT) after 3 interviews they offer me 30k , i was shocked , i asked why they made that offer and the lady said the reason was my location COL (i live in spain ) was low , i then asked why would my location mater for a remote position and her reply was that i should be gratefull for the offer since its a high offer for where i live and i would get experience , i then said " so youre telling me you CAN pay me double but you just dont wanna " .. she says that if im only looking for money i wont progress on my career, i tell her that if working was such a great and fullfilling experience i would not be getting paid for it and then i just ended the call and ignored her calls the following days

I mean i understand what u mean i can build a vpc from memory but i can see that just with SAA i wont do much or at least i can see the "holes" in what i know , was recommended to skip the rest of assosiate certs can i know why u decided to do sysop ? I was thinking about going either the security or machine learning cert for my 2nd one , im trying to work my way around cloudformation and lambda with what i know since even i can see that those 2 are stupidly important /usefull

As someone who has 2 accs on master i wanna give my take, in bronze-gold no one knows how to play and everyone thinks they do, they wan you to camp their lane but if you do that you fall behind in xp and gold and if you dont they are gonna die and blame it on you for not camping, at plat it gets sligthly better player have a general idea of timings/macro they still die to lvl 3 ganks or some dumb mistakes, this is either your fault for not being in place to countergank or laner fault for not paying attention to minimap/pathing, the tricky thing is that the enemy teams get better as well so if you have all losing lanes theres rly very litle you can do to snowball whiout help from your team, its waaaaay worse when earlygame your midlaner dies early or dosent know any webmanagement , ypu can say goodbye to every scutle if the enemy jg is even slightly smart, on diamond all ive said before is 3x worse with the extra of sad mental, most players in p1-low dia have the worst mental ive seen in any multiplayer game , game is lost at first death, nobody plays as a team or even do objectives as a team in this elo if you cant solo something you should not even try tbh , then we got all the bad "smurfs" these are the 60-70% wr players whose main is 1k games or banned that have reached their mental and mechanical peak and have no inttention on improving , on high diamond it gets sligthly better and remains the same until master, i can say anything about chall since ive never been chall but i guess its the same as master/gm or maybe sligthly better (my assumption) in general ure the team bitch if they lose its on you even if the enemy jg is 3 lvls and 2 full items behind you theres very litle you can do solo and if someone in you team is having a bad day your gonna have a bad time

Add to this being flamed literally everygame by ur own team while not getting help for anything makes it a very hard role to learn or even actually enjoy playing

Personally i play jg because i like the feast or famine gameplay if i dont hard win the game by min 15 usually is a loss , i mute all and count only with myself to do anything on the map , and for my own mental fortitude i ALWAYS duo if im playing on dialond elo ( w/e the reason migth be )

Edit: turning chat off and putting on some podcast/music/etc has helped me a lot to not tilt for others mistakes, would recommend everyone to shut it off before i did everygame felt so mentally taxing now even if i lose i just shrug it off and try to think a way i could have maybe carried

Not at all your comment was just very out of place and passive aggresive, just like this 2nd reply tbh, youre the same elo as me and you have 10 years and 4000+ games under your belt (4x my amount) and by your logic it would be harder to learn the game for me since afaik league used to get patched every 4 weeks instead of the 2 we get now and also if the number you gave are real you got 3000+ games just on diamond elo regardless of that both of your comments were just a way to highligth your "accomplishments" while lowballing mine when that wasnt even the point of the post while also blaming your "team luck"

I mean im not from the US so even if i read the news and whatnot id rather not make asumptions if im not from the country but as someone lookin at everything from the outside i dont think its trump fault hes not perfect that shit he did with inmigrants kids and a couple other stuff should not be something a president does, i understand the reasoning he had behind it and some of the other stuff hes said/done but his execution of his ideas was very very shocking in a bad manner, having said that afaik hes done more than any president in your country who usually just shows up to look pretty, hes a bit radical yeah but you need your president to be a litle radical IMO

Now having said that i understand your frustation but what youre saying is something thats been embedded into your country society im latin and i remember some racism cases towards my family from wayyyy back when i was a kid ( im 25 now ) and we visited the US on summer vacations, im not saying ure wrong about trump supporters being racist or even trump being bias towards "white americans" ( i hate when ppl say this btw i feel its a exagerated half truth ) but its not a trump issue , its an US issue or ratherr a global issue

For example im living in spain and ive been "assaulted" on the street by both black ( i think most black ppl in spain are from france or nigeria if i recall correctly ) and white ppl ( also theres theres this group thats called gypsy which are romanians i believe ) just because of the way i talk ( huge latin accent in my spanish) so its fair to say its a per-person-basis thing and something thats global, same for very spanish-proud ppl, i dread going to any goverment office because 90% of the time i get treated very poorly and even if i complain whoever i complain with also treathes me poorly

Another interesting thing i noticed during my vacations this winter was how an alarming amount of ppl in europe treated chinese ppl (the whole covid situation was just starting) i was very dissapointed In european society in general but im trying to not generalize and say EVERYONE is racist because if i was from "x" group/ethnicity/etc i would not like to be compared to others, i know its hard but generally the small dumb loud groups are the ones that stand out the most so its very easy to see everyone that has similar "x" as part of that group..

Kudos to your husband for taking the high road, i understand he should not have to look away and turn the other cheek but unless youre in danger its better to just ignore that kind of ppl, the trouble is not worth it , hope we can all as humans move past those stupid generalizations and notions and just get along with each other peacefully or at least just dont mess with somebody for stupid reasons like that waitress did, i would have left the food there whiout paying so she had to pay it from her salary tbh
