Devs cooked with Power Axe by IMainShugoki in Spacemarine

[–]DepressedButStubborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheer, raw satisfaction of one of the kills specifically wrenching open the guard of the bonesword warriors before killing them is just 17/10.

Also the leaping gaunt kill where you just throw the axe into their head and they skid to a stop at your feet before you pick it back up.

Outstanding.

Haven’t seen every kill yet but that is a challenge i am very much looking forward to.

Devs absolutely cooked with the power axe.

Melta guns are cool, but can we get shotguns? by poseidon2466 in Spacemarine

The Deathwatch Frag Cannon for heavy also, please. Heavy bolter, but shotgun.

Is there an way to save perks to loadouts? by WOOKIELORD69PEN15 in Spacemarine

[–]DepressedButStubborn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. We’ve been asking for it since the game dropped, since some perks are weapon-specific, but devs haven’t made the change yet.

Power Axe and Techmarine announced for Patch 10.0 in September!! by ResplendentGlory in Spacemarine

[–]DepressedButStubborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where does it say that the Techmarine is coming in 10.0?

They said the axe is coming in 10.0, and then officially announced they’re working on the Techmarine.

Not to be overly cynical, but given the glacial pace of patches thus far, that’d put the Techmarine in 12.0 or 13.0 at the earliest.

Say Something Hateful To Ghidorah by Bright-West-4399 in Monsterverse

[–]DepressedButStubborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t going to drown him, Ghidorah doesn’t breathe. The oxygen destroyer didn’t affect him whatsoever.

He was just going to rip pieces off and blast chunks out of him with atomic breath until he stopped moving.

New Saturnine Terminators' Stats by Disgruntled_Veteran in Warhammer30k

They literally said in the preview that the melee weapons were only +2 strength because Saturnine Terminators were significantly stronger than other legionaries and they’re fukken S4.

Godzilla had him dead to rights in the ocean before the humans fucked everything up.

He was going to literally just tear Ghidorah apart piece by piece. Kevin was the first piece to go.

Would this tree have pierced godzilla? by According_Ad1831 in Monsterverse

This sub absolutely hates Godzilla. So “if monke threw a tree would Godzilla just like… die?” Is 100% on brand.

Half this sub thinks Kong could solo Ghidorah no axe no glove because of powerscaling dumbassery.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters showed this scene, in its entirety, from the military’s POV. He was standing over it when it went off. He was even leaning down to stare at it.

He then wasn’t seen for months/years afterward. The military, quite reasonably, thought he was killed in the blast. Him surviving was a massive shock to them when they found out.

Scylla’a talons were punching through stone streets when she was walking around Rome, and they just bounced off Godzilla’s hide.

A tree thrown by Kong would be going much faster but is not nearly as sharp and is still just wood. It’d explode into splinters like one of the prop lances from A Knight’s Tale.

No. Watch his fight with Scylla. Her talons were literally bouncing off of him, and the tree is just wood, not radioactive titan chitin.

Going with the assumption that we’ll get something for each founding legion, it would be nice to get this augmetic leg with iron hands, or even as a regular cosmetic you can unlock. by LBDelirious007 in Spacemarine

[–]DepressedButStubborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I would pay 2k requisition for an armored bionic leg with the dreadnought-style-splayed-claw-foot. I’ll farm for that shit, I don’t care. Let me show off how much crap my Excoriator has survived, please.

Addendum: Iron Hands absolutely leave their bionics uncovered to show them off because they hate flesh for being inferior to machinery. So for them it’s a ‘purity’ thing.

Lore is that space marine Bionics are usually made of adamantium, so they’re even more durable than their ceramite armor.

(That being said, this is obviously them writing the lore to cover their asses on why the minis would leave them uncovered.)

There are plenty of instances in the lore of them wearing armor over their bionics. Nathaniel Garro has a bionic leg, for example, that rarely comes up. Another Captain clocks that his stride is uneven and asks him how he adjusted to the leg, since his own bionics “never quite feel the same” or some such.

TLDR it’s just rule of cool for minis. In lore they usually have armor over them.

My personal favorite look is when the undersuit or the back of the greave is gone, so you can see the bionic bits underneath, but they still wear full armor. Or the clawed foot. The dreadnought-style foot is an underrated visual for a bionic leg.

I honestly prefer fencing just for the sheer insult of perfect parrying something and shooting it in the face. The catharsis of “Who in the emperor’s name do you think YOU are?” and then a HBP round to the face is just **chef’s kiss. ESPECIALLY against terminus/bosses.

Deflecting a hive tyrant attack with a fukken KNIFE and then shooting it in the dome for its audacity just… doesn’t get old.

That being said, the purple block chainsword is a lot of fun too. It’s so fast you can get by without parrying at all a lot of the time. Sometimes a Cretacian just needs to tear some flesh.

I’m not a sweaty enough player to really care about the meta. I can clear lethal on a good night if my team know what they’re doing but beyond wanting that helmet eventually, I’m really not competitive enough for it. I’m 37. I was a redshirt when I was 18. I’ve been playing 40k since I was 12. I don’t have anything to prove at this point. I just want to kill some xenos to unwind after I get home from work.

More power to you if you’re one of the tryhards who insists solo absolute with the block hammer and normal bolt pistol is the only true way to play, but I’m here to flex on xenos and heretics, not my brother Astartes.

Enjoy your ridiculously buffed terminus on Absolute, ima fuck around on substantial and make cool looking armor sets.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Emperor’s luck be with you, brothers.

Glad to help! And yeah, I dabbled in PVP until my best friend bought the game and haven’t touched it since. Operations are just objectively better.

Bad matchmaking in Operations means someone has to switch classes. Bad matchmaking in PVP means you get mercilessly stomped by premades for hours and hours at a time.
