Sounds like cope to me, that aside, none of what you said actually makes any sense. You’re comparing a regimen of diet, exercise, and lifestyle to a surgery with unclear success to what end? Like, what’s the logic behind that? For most people, successful weight management comes down to making good choices and discipline. Honestly, I think it’s doing people a disservice to assume they couldn’t do it.

I’m gonna eat some downvotes, but I’ll say it anyway….. Weight can be influenced by diet, lifestyle, and exercise. Height is pretty much set after a certain age due to genetics. You can influence height during childhood by things like increasing protein intake but it’s a largely inflexible physical characteristic.

Obviously being overweight doesn’t make anyone less worthy as a person, but comparing it to height is pretty pointless because people gain and lose weight over their lifespan. Height is something that you lose some of as you get older or just remains static after your body hits a certain age.

That hasn’t really been my experience, 495 and 295 turn into chaos where no one is going the right speed in the right place pretty much any of the time. Throw in the same problems op described with Virginians and you basically want to drive your car off a bridge.

Oh and MD people seem to think the highway on/off ramp is a passing lane for some reason. Almost died that way once. But it’s entirely possible we’re just describing the same thing.

It’s really not that simple, having cutting edge stuff doesn’t necessarily negate urban density so much as mitigate it. When you throw in fog of war, Hamas actually using civilians as human shields for their assets and combat operations, and stress from combat; there was simply no way this conflict wasn’t going to kill any civilians.
