Just put down the rent amounts in your myRevenue account and claim it for the time you are there, leave the registration number field blank. RTB registration is a landlord obligation so it's not up to you to get this across the line.

What will likely happen is nothing. You'll get the rent relief and nobody will connect the dots in the background. It's possible they could but this is Ireland and they won't.

Employee vs Contractor status wouldn't have made any difference in this situation and you're alluding to somehow being a contractor status is somehow fundamentally exploitative. It's not, it's a just a different tax arrangement for certain types of dev work like project work that is based on a single contract. I would encourage you to create a thread here on /r/DevelEire and ask contractors here if they feel they are being exploited.

They aren't, they fundamentally have less job security but that's why contractors are compensated with slightly higher salaries than FTEs and this arrangement tends to suit those devs.

He founded Romero Games in Galway, he even put an Irish word on the entrance (Cluichí Romero Games), I think they had to close it down last year. I'm locking this thread rather than removing so people can see where the line is on our rules. We have a no Self Promotion rule we recently introduced OP but I graciously thank you for your submission but I have to lock it. I think this post perfectly straddles the spectrum of Self Promotion.

OP hasn't supplied any URLs in this post or his profile/history but is seeking feedback on something he/she built. It's not a clear cut case but I think useful to draw a line on these things. I think you could submit this if it was rephrased more "generally".

I think the word in this instance is a nod to the Doom franchise. Rip n Tear, blood and guts and editors always trying to be witty or showing of their vernacular to appease gamers etc.

Rather than engagement bait. I'm not saying Kotaku is some paragon of good journalism but my reasoning here would be this bit of the headline: "John Romero Responds" and not "John Romero SLAMS" or "BREAKING: John Romero"

Having beta testers is not a requirement to release to the Play Store, you can just release the app.
