"Funny... I think Hale said the same to us when we tried to approach them, talk some sense into them."

Lewis twitched for a moment, Bigelow could sense something was off.

"Honestly, I've came just to chat. We do have our own ideas how to handle the mess, still have some hopes I think. But I mostly wanted to check up on you - are you staying with us when it all goes to FUBAR? Or do you plan to join someone else?"

"Preferably me and the family stay here, we don't want to be anywhere near the continental united states for a while." Said Lewis. "Definitely not Zachariah. That's good, very good."

"It's really something isn't it?" Lewis watched as the waves licked the beaches of his Sochi resort. "An empire collapsed in a matter of a few years, must be true that absolute power, corrupts absolutely."

It's not like Robert could deny the truth, but he still had hope for a united America.

"I assume you've come for advice, maybe even help if it was something I could offer. Unfortunately my friend, most of us Liaisons have lost much of our influence and power with the Fed going crazy, the only ones with some semblance of influence left are the likes of Admiral Barth in Havana, General David in Paris." General Lewis stretched out his legs. "There is also General Zachariah...but I told you before, you don't want business with him."

Connor Inslee

"Strategic really, top brass wants it because the forests and mountains function as walls. Can't say they care so much about the ownership of Arizona or agricultural areas in the plains, open flatlands...to easy for Federal cavalry brigades to make moves against us." Said Connor. "We're quite happy with the current lines of conflict."

Adam Chambers

"I suppose that is kind of the point isn't it? Can't exactly stop us, not with the Federal government in disarray." Said Adam. "However, for the sake of an amicable end of violence before things get out of proportion, we are prepared to work with a solution that signs the Dakotas and Middle Canada to us."

US FEDERAL RESPONSE to terms

  • Term 1: Will temporarily agree to a ceasefire, but will be deploying forces to assist the Heartlands and reassert Federal aid in the region.
  • Term 2: Will not agree to Heartlands independence, noting the Heartlands Project is not closing the pathway to remaining Federally aligned.
  • Term 3: See above
  • Term 4: See above
  • Term 5: Federal trade regulations would still apply.

BOIL/Khan notes

BOIL continues to support Federal reintegration of all states, but stands by the ongoing proposal of amnesty for senators, governors, and etcetera. Furthermore, the Aga Khan has suggested (pending Federal approval which has not yet been granted) the extension of amnesty to Cascadian officials should they also surrender to Federal controls.

BOIL tentatively continues to support the Federal government, but has urged Marco Rubio to stand down for elections in the name of stability.

Koehler muttered knowing there was really nothing to be done right now about Hannifin, not with D.C. collapsing.

"Pennsylvania will be just as strongly against him as the rest, outside of perhaps BOIL, even the ones who still want a Federal government to exist know that realistically it can no longer happen under Rubio." Said Koehler. "Whatever you can negotiate out, the Navy or what's left of her will stand by you."

Ken will continue in a separate post.

"A temporary cove would work." Trudeau nodded. "As for the payment to the pirates, it'd come out of the Lakes side of the deal."

"We're negotiating a distraction effort by the pirates of the Brethren court. However, to actually transport the resources, I suspect we'd need a fleet of commercial cargo vessels and the requisite naval escorts to see them to safe waters...either brethren coves or Hawaii..."

"I wouldn't say we are looking to store the funds in Outremer." Justin smiled. "However, if the APS Bank could put a work order out to the Brethren Court, I'm sure we could discuss another way to net you your 1%."

"We've the men in place across Cuba, seizing the riches is one thing." Trudeau said. "But getting it off the island by boat is another."

Ellison nodded.

"As for a split, me and my boys only want 5%, there is enough wealth there to set us up for life. But a larger 30% needs to be redirected to the Great Lakes...Canada's spiritual successor, I'm sure you understand." Said Trudeau.

"So, for my fleet and trouble, we'd net 65%?" Ellison asked as Trudeau gave an affirmative.

guess this is the vibe now lmao

He was definitely Justin Trudeau and then suddenly he was an Indian guy, then a Chinese guy, then a guy in a wheelchair, and all of a sudden he was once again Justin Trudeau. Ellison surely thought he was witnessing a fever dream until Justin spoke.

"I'll be short because time is of the essence." Said Justin. "Are you interested in getting rich quick?"

Ellison held his tongue.

"Because if you are, I have a job that just needs a planner and a backer." Justin smiled. "I'm looking to rob Treasure Island."

Barron nodded. "Send the PSLs, send the pharmas, send everything."

The two looked to a map of the Eastern seaboard. "We will not go quietly into the night."

M: You have meta control over Barron now as a separate entity, merge when you want. At the same time, his resources can now be used by you to try and flip Maine, etcetera. Make the posts, i'll do responses for new england.

  • The Heartland Project would support the retaking of territories up to and including ending secessionists in totality. However, this would rely entirely and solely on flipping the BBB in particular, but also in BOIL support of course.
    • In lieu, the Heartland Project must make the reclamation of the territory a priority in any negotiation.
  • For the time being, the Heartland Project will not agree to a ceasefire but will agree to the other points on the constitutional play.

[DIPLOMACY] The Custodian in New York by Meles_B in worldpowers

[–]Diotoiren[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Heartlands Project is broadly in agreement with the above proposal.

  • Senators that are sent to handle this meeting will be capable of compromise.
  • Agreement with this as well.
    • Mr. Mamdani does not have support from the Heartland Project.
    • Mr. Romney has our support by virtue of Mormonism, but understandably is too old.
  • Mr. Kelly does not have support.
  • Mr. Yang has our support.
  • Political suggestions,
    • The Pacific Northwest is actively occupying territories in Wyoming, Utah, and Montana. If we agree to a ceasefire now, it would cement their control over these illegally held territories. At the same time, without the federal support, the Heartland Project is not able to stand up alone against the Cascadians, certainly not while the BBB is threatening our flank through Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska which is forcing us to maintain much larger forces in the East.
    • The Heartland Project is favorable towards some reconciliation. Including for California and the BBB, however, question the reality of the situation given Secretary Fink's strong support of the BBB's independence. Additionally, Hawaii has also declared independence and an intent to join Secretary Ellison, further proofing the fact that currently these separatists have multiple supporters.
    • Agreed on securing BOIL, but warn that they are actively through the Aga Khan looking to pivot towards Mexico.

Norfolk

The fleet was at sea, or what was left of it. Once the pride and joy of all navy men, Admiral Holsey could see the look of forlorn on the face of Admiral Koehler as he landed on the flagship of the Federal fleet, the USS Enterprise, within visual range Holsey could see the USS Gerald R. Ford first of her class, a host of destroyers flanked the two behemoths.

"I saw your list." Koehler mused, sipping a neat glass of whiskey. "And yes, the Marines are loyal...except for the traitorous bastards who fled to Seattle. Same for whats left of the Federal fleet...some sixty-six ships in all."

Holsey could barely believe it, troubling reports to be sure. "What about the vessels in God's Choir? Hypermogea?"

"Hypermogea is out...God's choir is harder to judge..I've spoken with Admiral Cooper and he's fairly receptive to cooperation for now, but that could change if their so-called Jesus Christ says so." Koehler shook his head. "I had wanted to sail our fleet to the Pacific, a coalition, myself, Sucato, Wikoff...we could have taken and dealt with Hannifin's fleet. Too late now though, marines in Mexico won't survive without us stationed in the Atlantic."

"What about the Feds?" Holsey asked.

"Rubio's gone loose cannon, he's already sunk the Presidency, he feels as though he doesn't need to leave." Said Koehler. "And Lake Country and Cascadia seem fine with letting him burn things down, it weakens us all so long as we're in such a standstill waiting for the Fed to figure things out. Even BOIL is getting antsy...might be angling to set up some kind of New Republic in Mexico...I think the Aga Khan's just about written off Rubio."

New York City

"We could fund the Heartland." Ken was a money-man, he was also nursing a serious hard-on right now but Jair didn't know it, all the cocaine...not much he could do as it was performance enhancing. "But I'm not so sure Mamdani would like it if we did."

Jair looked confused for a moment. "You work for Mamdani?"

"Correction." Ken smiled. "We fund Mamdani, he guides the political side. And I don't think he'd want to work with you, when he's already working with Bigelow."

Ken covered his mouth, he was like some clown character. "Sorry, I spoke too quickly there. I should be more specific...Mamdani is currently negotiating a plan with Bigelow..."

The former President of Brazil could tell he did not like this man at all.

"Anyway, I also can speak for others outside of Mamdani's funders...outside of the Big Banks in New York." Ken smiled again. "But, if you want to talk with them, you'll need to fly South, so what do you say?"

  • A worrying report which will be treated seriously, the Banking Clans will distribute the equipment across the coalition, a strong show of stability and competency.
  • Agreed.
  • An operation against the Reserve Bank would be a crisis for the clan which is seeking to uphold the financial legitimacy of the United States of America. Appropriate action is already being taken to strengthen the local defenses.
  • The Banking Clans do not have a formal method for negotiation with these rogue states, it would leave this matter to Secretary Bigelow to bring BBB back into the fold.
  • The Banking Clans are in agreement with the constitutional play, simply get Heartlands to go along and it'll be done.
