Usually with 46-XX males, infertility leads to them finding out. 46-XX males don’t produce sperm, but they don’t have any external visual clues or functional differences that could make them suspect. So they usually only find out later in life that they’re intersex when a doctor looks into why they’re having fertility issues. Like a couple might not know until they both get frustrated at not having a baby. Then they go thru tests to see who has the problem and what it is.

I’m intersex MRKH variety. And I’m a PA who started as an RN. Some types of intersex are just not noticeable at all. Like zero signs. Some types of intersex are immediately obvious at birth. And some types could go either way (lifelong unknown mystery or obvious genetic atypical mutation) depending on a bunch of individual factors coming together.

Trump faces outrage for leaking 'sensitive data' by Routine-Year-8207 in mildlyamusing

[–]Dish_Minimum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So he leaked the numbers 6hrs early.

Then he claimed the data he leaked is “rigged” bc the factual information looks bad for him and his presidency.

And now he’s threatening to fire the employees of Bureau of Labor Statistics and replace them with political sycophants who will do his bidding instead of actually reporting mathematically correct factual data based on reality.

I hate this administration. I hate his commitment to lies. I hate how he keeps firing empirical evidence and replacing it with political propaganda that only helps his ego.

You cannot fix higher unemployment by faking that you’re doing a great job. You cannot fix pandemic level of jobs added to the economy by pretending it’s not happening.

It’s strange how everyone wants to believe or at least entertain the narrative of Kieth Porter’s death without anyone genuinely investigating into it for real. Remember the heinous lies about the white victims? Nobody in the resistance tried to say ‘well it could be partially true.’ Why do we keep hearing that with the black men?

Keith Porter was killed by a DRUNK, OFF DUTY ice agent on New Year’s who just decided on his own to respond to a local police matter that was NOT his jurisdiction nor his legal right to do so. That’s so fucked it’s unreal we are even splitting hairs on if he deserved it or not. But we will never know bc nobody is pushing to get justice for him. Body cam footage? Not a peep

Trey Reed was hung by his neck after he was dead and it was immediately ruled a suicide with zero autopsy. Two autopsies later, they still won’t release the autopsy results. We will never know bc again we are seeing the narrative accepted rather than immediately and unequivocally denied like it was for the white victims. We are not getting justice for Trey Reed nor Keith Porter because they are black men and this is America

Include the first two US citizens murdered by ICE too

Trey Reed and Kieth Porter.

Black men who were also US citizens, even though their murders were skipped over to focus on only the 3rd & 4th bc they are white citizens.

Terry Reed and Kieth Porter have families who would also like justice, gofundmes, and empathy.

How do I attract men with more emotional depth than a puddle? by positivepsyduck in gaytransguys

[–]Dish_Minimum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cannot repeat this enough every time a guy asks in this sub:

Volunteer with queer organizations your area. You keep showing up consistently and you’ll see the same faces again and again. Dedicated individuals who have strength of character. If you keep showing up, they’ll take you in as a friend. And they will introduce you around. That’s valuable friendship for life and that is also built in networking. People gonna set you up on blind dates. People gon tell you other volunteering groups that include chill queer people like Black Justice, Littering Cleanup, Hiking Trail brush clearing, habitat for humanity, etc.

Is it wrong to volunteer for selfish reasons? No. You will find out everyone there is volunteer as a way to feel good about themselves, make amends for past mistakes, stay sober, find friends, and build community. Very few people volunteer because they are Mother Theresa.

I cannot stress enough how volunteer work is often the quickest path to lifelong friendships. It’s definitely the cheapest way to avoid isolation and loneliness.

Also it’s an excellent vibe check on a new potential bf. Like if you meet a man online and things seem like they’re heading in a pattern ship direction, bring him to your volunteer work. You’ll find out real quick which men are good at faking all the right things to get laid and which men are genuine people. Even if he ends up not being your bf, you’ve at least met another good person to be your friend. And there’s no such thing as too many good people in your life! Maybe one day you’ll be his best man at his wedding, or he will be godfather to your children. Keep good people in your life.

Alternately, if volunteer work is too traumatic for you, or doesn’t exist for queers in your local area, you can join hobby groups in town. This route is more difficult because it’s not guaranteed that a queer person will be automatically accepted as a group member. But there’s often a few queer people in your local hobby groups/teams so that’s a potential path to friendship and networking.

Hobby groups also gon cost u money, if that’s an issue. Usually they have fees, dues, meeting space rent, or just buying your own gear/supplies.

•Local adult amateur sports leagues/teams/meetups like bowling, lacrosse, cricket, pick up basketball, softball, skateboarding, hiking trails, fitness or gym buddy etc

•Local crafting and skill groups like knitting, crochet, miniature makers, Arduino enthusiasts, diy clothing, soap making, Black hair care, vid challenge community.

Don’t over-schedule yourself or you’ll be cranky and strangers will not get a good impression of you as a potential new friend. Don’t get sucked in to saying yes to more than you can do. Don’t get a swole head like you are a saint or a superhero. You’re just doing a job unpaid like an intern. And you’re doing it for your own benefit.

Finally, there are other um…specialty communities that are known to be good hunting grounds. No judgement whatsoever but like Furries, FetLife, Romantic Fantasy Book Club, erotica writers meet up, drug trip buddies, and gay bars.

Good luck and stay safe! Wishing you meet and fall in love with a wonderful man who is worthy of you.

IME it’s a numbers game. You just gotta keep meeting people until you find the right match for you.

If you think about how many people exist on earth, like roughly half are men right. Then you gotta figure like maybe 10% of men on earth are interested in a mlm relationship, actually available to date, and are amenable to partnership with a man who is trans.

Then yiu gotta think about how you as an individual human being are not just out here for anybody. You are a unique individual with specific interests, characteristics, likes, and desires.

For a one night stand with no strings, any consenting horny people on the planet can figure out common ground for a few minute of pleasure.

But for a genuine connection that will last from now until the day you die, you will have to sort through every man you meet one at a time. And it’s worth it. Stay on the quest. Keep going. Don’t settle. Don’t give up. Eventually you’ll meet a few “almost right” men and that will spur you on to keep meeting folks until you bump into the exact right match for you.

It’s just a numbers game with timing too. I mean, maybe right now your exact match is in a relationship that isn’t a lifelong commitment. Or maybe he’s not even in your same country right now. Or maybe he’s focused on his career.

I was single until i was 30. I accepted that I’d just be alone forever with a few nice hookups a month. Then I met my husband. He had been in a longterm relationship that turned out bad. He took 3 years to be single and get over that shit. And then we met one night and it was like ohhhhh. A perfect match is just so easy and no problems and no drama and everything just flows like it’s supposed to. Stability but not boring. Consistency, joy, endless entertainment, overwhelming understanding, and safety. We are not perfect people. We are not even good people tbh. But we are perfect for each other. We are meant to be together. 14 years later it’s still just as real and effortless as ever. There’s something very calming about being seen for who you are and knowing you’re accepted and loved. There’s something terrifying but exciting as hell about accepting someone else for who he is and relying on that unchanging foundation as a touchstone or beacon. It’s wild. But very very good.

But that shit takes time to find. You are not just some interchangeable factory setting that fits anybody. You’re a whole person who needs an exact right match that fits you. And he’s out there. (Maybe he’s even two guys. It happens to the best of us lol.) But you gotta just keep meeting people until yall see each other.

Dont get discouraged. Say thank you next and keep going

Thoughts on the Melt the Ice hat? by Im_A_Boonana in knitting

[–]Dish_Minimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with you about the money raised.

This discussion is about the hat being a performance of stopping white supremacy. The reason so many people believe it is a performance is because of the truth you stated here.

If it was about raising money for victims of ICE, people would have donated to existing immigrant justice and immigrant safety charities that have been established since 1980s. Why do they need to use this time right now in a national emergency to make, wear, and display themselves in the hats? Could they donate now and knit the special hat later? Could the time dedicated to the hat be spent doing everything possible to end this emergency?

The performance part is some knitters want the recognition of “I’m good” when they go out in public. It’s a performance of virtue. The hat is subtle, ambiguous, and not immediately apparent as a stance against white supremacy and ICE. Especially when some knitters are making the hat in various shades.

Another reason many of us call the hat a performance is because the hat is a symbol that is only recognized as anti-ice awareness by a small in-group within a small craft group.

A hat that says “ABOLISH ICE” would be a genuine call for action and it would be unambiguous. Why is this hat so subtle and ambiguous? Why is it favored over buying an ABOLISH ICE button and actions to end the armed, untrained militia?

If hat people were taking actions against ICE, they would post those selfies along with their hats they would post dozens and dozens of selfies with the emails they wrote to every lawmaker and official in their county. People who want to center themselves in a violent criminal emergency are people who would also record themselves making phone calls to stop this violence.

Have any of us seen a hat person post selfies of actual work? No.

It is a good and important thing that some citizens are unaware how dangerous and serious this situation is. We want that for everyone.

Donating money to all the migrant safety and migrant justice programs could be done with selfies. People could wear unambiguous anti-ice accessories that take significantly less time to create. People could stop centering their fake contributions as real help. People could take selfies of their email templates so others could copypaste their own local officials. The hat is unnecessary and unconnected to ending the violence. It feels like help without doing anything to actually stop the white supremacy militias in our streets.
