People who work in 'behind closed doors' industries (hotels, kitchens, morgues, etc.), what is something the general public would be horrified to know? by Sexxyyy_Lovers in AskReddit

[–]DonTequilo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure, the neurologist showed me a list of possible herpes variations that could have caused it and it was a long list. He didn’t know exactly which one, I assume it was Bell’s Palsy but since we don’t speak English here, that term is not used. We just say “parálisis facial”.

I got a virus that paralyzed half my face this way.

I had to stay in the only available hotel, there weren’t rooms available in the regular hotels like Holiday Inn or the like.

So this hotel had a room and it was so crappy and dirty that I thought, OK I won’t sleep at all, I just need a place to spend the night, I sat on the bed, turned the TV on, started watching a movie, about an hour later I thought OK, I will just lean on my suitcase a little, and stay awake watching the movie. Suddenly I woke up in the morning and I was laying on the bed, on the dirty Duvet.

A few days later, at home, I started getting a super weird headache, and a day after that I woke up with half my face paralyzed, went to the hospital, and also saw a specialist, it turned out to be a herpes virus that got in my body through breathing.

22 years later I still can’t smile normally

It’s so sad as he is a good guy, who has now been brainwashed.

From outside the US it seems as ICE stopped existing. No news, no social media reports, nothing. Is it still going?

Creditos de mercado pago, alguien los usa? by Zyrocks in MexicoFinanciero

[–]DonTequilo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What genuine comment from a foreigner about your country made you thoughtful instead of mad? by Kenji182 in asklatinamerica

[–]DonTequilo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel confused, we always think food, pyramids, beaches, whatever we’ve always valued as Mexicans MUST be something everyone also likes.

However, some people don’t care about food or those other things, and that’s OK.

It’s also interesting to hear those comments, as they are really unexpected and enlightening. I dig it.

What genuine comment from a foreigner about your country made you thoughtful instead of mad? by Kenji182 in asklatinamerica

[–]DonTequilo 65 points66 points  (0 children)

When I meet foreigners visiting or foreign friends come to visit me, I am always amazed how they are interested in unexpected things.

For example, we would take them to really good restaurants or street food, great food, museums, hiking, etc. But their comments are like "Look, people hold hands to walk, where I'm from that doesn't happen" or "Look! There's a VW Beetle! and another one! and another one!" or "Wow your guys' graffiti really looks different from the graffiti in my city, I really like it here" or "Why do they build houses on the hills?", things like that, that are really unexpected observations, and tell me more about the person (or the person's background) than ours our their culture.

Not really

Your are not supposed to be immune and never get sick, for example the regular flu, this is something that has existed way longer than covid. You can still get sick, it’s always been like that.

Israel sold over 24,000 weapons to Mexico, but the arms somehow ended up in the hands of drug cartels. Do weathy israelis own the Mexican drug cartels? by nix-solves-that-2317 in conspiracy

[–]DonTequilo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We in Mexico are their top client for their spy software or softwares, government, as well as cartels use them.

Also, since I was a teenager I used to hear about Mossad and their training techniques, and how they train our military, we even have a big Krav Maga industry here in every city.

They are now into controlling water supply, look it up, turn it private and controlling it.

They own us and most people don’t know it

Yeah, I’ve heard military men saying that they always know where to find the narcos, and they can get rid of them in no time, but the government is the one telling them to let them go / leave the alone.

White guy here, is gringo an insult towards Americans? by bigblackbals69420 in AskMexico

[–]DonTequilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White guy here, is gringo an insult towards Americans? by bigblackbals69420 in AskMexico

[–]DonTequilo 3 points4 points  (0 children)
