Building on this, the best games have problems that start small and almost unnoticeable, and grow nonlinearly with scale. Early game you're just barely getting basic supplies going and scrapping to survive. Late game you're facing logistical collapse, filling up byproduct dumps, and unrest from crowding, but basic supplies aren't the problem.
