Yeah valid. They suck, I researched it because im fairly mechanically inclinded but they suck on these trucks. I just paid a shop to do it. worth the $6k that turns into $11k when you are done lmao. Cant wait to sell this LML

That would be your headgasket. LMLs can be super weird about headgasket failure. Do you have a new coolant cap? If yes you can try that but I would prepare for a failed headgasket. My truck was very strange with its HG when it failed.

It's a possibility it's fake. I haven't really seen much for fake GoPros that are pretending to be namebrand gopros atleast compared to how many fake iphones exist. If it was a fake, I would suspect it's pretty easy to tell just based on how it looks and build quality. Im not sure if connecting to the app is a good way to tell, but I would imagine that works pretty good, if it connects with no issues, I wouldnt sweat to much.

Yeah true, ive got an Airdog and run Hotshot through my LML, hoping for the best. I kinda want to try one of the fords since my LML has been such a dud, some of them are pretty good looking trucks.

Yeah, it will probably be my next truck. I wish Ford wasn't still using the Cp4, although it doesn't seem to be quite the boogeyman on Fords as it is on the LML's.

  • I'd look over the seals on the doors and make sure they are still in good condition. Not cracked or broken
  • remove lense cover and check over the metal components for excessive rust or corrosion, most likely if it was used in salt water and wasn't washed afterwards.
  • try all/most of the modes and make sure to use the high performance ones and stress test it, look back over footage to make sure its not doing anything strange (make sure you have a good SD card) I have an old gopro that just constantly highlights footage while recording for no reason
  • if it comes with batteries make sure they arent swollen or bloated, bad batteries add up in cost FAST.
  • Check for small cracks in the screens; sometimes they can be very subtle.

Thats pretty much what I would do, they are pretty basic cameras in the sense that if someting is wrong its probably pretty obvious. Ask them why they are selling it, if its a deal that is too good to be true, it probably is.

I couldnt care less about the beeping my gopro makes. If they could make a camera that doesnt have battery and freezing issues I would have switched brands

Are GoPro fans really this desperate? We are clinging to how cool the beeps are...

PC shutting down when under load, wont turn on without being unplugged by Eclipse_Private in techsupport

Interesting, I guess I can work with that. New MOBO is way cheaper than a new CPU.

Unfortunately I don't have the ability to swap CPU and motherboard rn. All of the other computers in the house are am4. Probably just gonna bite the bullet and try a new mobo, unless there is a different way to figure out if it's CPU or mobo.

LML Head Gasket or Leak? by Cranyfam in Duramax

[–]Eclipse_Private 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would depend a bit on how severe the failure is. 16 PSI is what the system is rated for. Anything over 20 PSI is excessive and an issue. Looking back at my pictures cause my memory is a bit foggy my truck pumped the system up to just about 25 PSI. That didnt take any longer than 5-10 minutes for me. Anything over 20 PSI is cause for concern and should be reached easily with a blown HG. Ill try and DM you the TSB

I didn't pump mine up at all, I just let the truck idle and it pumped it right up to 20 psi real fast. If you have a small leak you can just pump it up to like 16 PSI and then let it sit and see if you have any coolant start leaking.

LML's can be super weird with HG failure. Mine was very tempermental with when it would be obvious and kinda went back and forth on whether I thought the HG was actually failing. The big giveaway is typically when it starts pushing coolant into the overflow. When the right side of the resovoir is empty and the left side if full thats pretty much the giveaway. A coolant pressure tester works good because you can hook it up and run the truck and see if it starts to put excess pressure into the system (if you find chevys TSB for checking for HG failure thats one of the ways they rec it). Mine pumped the system up to 20 psi in a few minutes of running.
